17. It's Not a New Show at the Amusement Park (6)

Kevin growled and trying to get up. Still sitting on the scooter, Kara snorted as she glared at the monster that shouldn't have been able to move due to the multiple injuries he suffered.

"Fucking hell!" Evan swears loudly. "Give it up, Kevin! You're like crushed cookies! Kara is here! I'll help you persuade her to be your girlfriend!"

Kara turned to Evan with wide eyes. Now, she's the one who's swearing, "Holy fuck! Kevin!? He's our narcissistic senior!? Why is he being so fucking ugly to death!?"

"I don't know. Maybe he was cursed for urinating on a sacred monument." Evan answered with a shrug.

Shane wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then burped loudly like a giant toad, "Ah, no wonder he wants to kill you, Evan. He must really hate you because you're so close to Kara."

"So that's what makes you want me to date him, Evan!? Seriously!?" Kara was already clenching her fists. Her eyes bulged as if they were about to pop out of place.

Paying no heed to Kara's angry expression, Evan stood up and argued aloud, "If that could save my life, why not!?"

"I'm not a cheap girl who can be forced to date just anyone!" Kara looks even angrier.

"Why are you all fighting in a situation like this!?" Suddenly, Mimi's loud voice came from Evan's pants pocket.

The young man started to feel the heat in his pants, then hurriedly took out his cellphone and put it down. "Hey, don't transform like that so suddenly, Mimi!"

The bright light appeared as usual and when it went out, Mimi's human figure was visible. Instantly, the cell phone girl pointed at Kevin. "Look, he's awake!"

"Shit!" Evan winced anxiously when he saw Kevin, who was already standing on two legs, even though his body was still bent and his hands were limply down. "Even though he was hit by a motorbike ... Maybe we should use Popo's power. We have to find a way to attract his attention, while Popo activates his special move to defeat the monster."

"You say that as if I also have to get involved," Shane grumbled but kept on approaching his friend. "Why can't Mimi just fight him, if you have to use the being that you give life to?"

"I don't have the fighting ability," Mimi replied quickly.

"Ok then, how long does it take for Popo to activate her move? What kind of special move she has?" Shane asked again

"Popo's special move ...." Evan had a hard time explaining what Popo usually doing. "Well, anyway she hasn't succeeded in doing that special move since she was protecting me."

Shane chuckled. "You have to explain everything so we can make a good plan, Evan. Starting from the condition for activating that special move, the duration of activating it, whether the skill contains elements or not...."

"Arggghhh!!! You guys talk too much!" Kara grumbles and suddenly turning the gas, make the scooter he drives accelerate fast. It was so fast that the front wheel of the scooter was lifted. "Let me distract him!!!"

The two men could only gawk as the monster rolled sideways to avoid the muzzle of the scooter. Their chins dropped even further when Kara rolled the rear wheel of that vehicle, allowing her to drive towards the monster for the second time. The monster had to dodge it again.

Shane and Evan never saw Kara ride like a professional freestyler.

Evan shook his head to regain his senses. Even though what Kara did was like acrobatics, now was not the time to admire it.

"Sorry, Kara! I need your help!" Evan started running to the location where Popo fell. The young man didn't really want to put his girl friend in danger, but now he had no other choice.

"Wait, Evan! We have to think of the plan first!" Shane was about to chase Evan, but as soon as he saw Kara manage to graz the monster and make the scooter turn signal break, Shane jumped up while holding his head, then screamed in panic, "What are you doing, Kara!? The scooter is not fully paid yet!"

While Kara continued to do acrobatics to keep the monster busy, Evan sped up his run. His breath had started to run dry and his stamina was draining, but he didn't care.

Rather than save himself, he wanted to know more about Popo's situation. "Please, don't die, Popo."

As soon as he arrived at the place where Popo had landed, Evan looked around immediately. In the small garden with its ornamental trees and many shaped bushes, it took a while for Evan to find what he was looking for.

The little potato chip girl lay there with her eyes closed. Her breath was faltering and her stomach continued to bleed.

"Popo!" Evan hurried over to the girl and knelt beside her. After being confused because of the large amount of blood seeping into Popo's green dress, Evan slapped his cheeks so he can snap it out, then take off the jacket and t-shirt he's wearing. He then tore the shirt and carefully wrapped it around Popo's wound.

"Wake up, Popo," Evan whispered sadly. He really wanted to cry. He didn't think about how to survive the monsters but was more worried about Popo's condition. This girl is one of the greatest people Evan has ever met. Evan didn't want their meeting to end like this. "Please, open your eyes."

However, Popo did not respond. Her eyes remained tightly closed.

Evan watched his hands that covered in blood. His breathing was getting heavy. He couldn't stand the sight of Popo anymore. The young man's tears finally fell. Popo shouldn't suffer like this. The one who was being chased by the monster was Evan.

"I'm sorry, Popo." Evan's voice was hoarse. "If I didn't order you to fight that monster, you won't get hurt like this."

Mimi, who had been standing still, finally crouched down and tapped her master's shoulder. Smiling faintly, the cell phone girl whispered, "Don't blame yourself, Master. One of his duties is to protect you."

"But ..." Evan was speechless because his tears flowed more and more. Some of his tears even fell to Popo's face.

Mimi widened her smile. "And take it easy, Master. Those you give life to are not that weak."

Evan gasped. His eyes slowly opened. He felt a warm touch on his left cheek. The hand that touched him had a strange texture, a little rough like the surface of a potato chip.

"Master, why are you crying again?" Popo's voice sounded soft and weak. She's gently rubbed her master's cheek.
