31. An Unhealthy Way to Eat

A naked monster with a perfectly round head and body walks into a fast-food restaurant. People ran to avoid that terrible creature whose skin was the color of soil. However, the monster didn't care about them. His eyes, which are also perfectly round, are fixed on the glass display case which contains fried chickens.

"Hehehehe ..." The monster let out a terrible chuckle. His unusually wide mouth kept drooling. "Fried chickens... My fried chickens!"

Upon entering the restaurant, the monster punched the glass display case. Then, he began to eat the chickens with a great appetite, including the bone. He can put several pieces of chicken at once into his mouth.

In no time, the chickens were gone. He then let out a very loud burping sound from his mouth.

"I still want to eat!"

Suddenly there was the sound of gunfire. The monster's body jerked forward because the bullets hit the back of his body. However, the bullets only bounced off his body and didn't injure him in the slightest.

The monster growled, then turned and rolled forward. His head, hands, and feet sank into his body. His rolling speed then increased dramatically, like a snowball rolling down a steep descent.

And then, the monster smashed against the large glass window until it shattered into pieces. He continued to roll towards the policemen who were hiding behind the cars and continued to shoot at him. However, like before, none of the bullets worked and they just bounced off.

Evan's face stiffened even more. His mind was very confused. Should he and Gargar fight that monster? What about the risks? Will he get hurt? The place where the monster went berserk was also more open than the amusement park at that time, what if someone recorded his face? He doesn't want to be famous. It goes against his principle of ordinary life.

However, is now the right time to think like that, while there might be many casualties due to the monster's rage?

Evan squeezed his head in frustration. Then, the young man approached Gargar. "I want to ask something! But, don't you fucking dare kiss and hug me again!"

Slowly, Gargar turned to his master. "What's the matter, Master ...."

Evan was out of sight. He got under the bed with an extraordinarily fast movement and only left his cell phone lying in front of Gargar. Seeing his master still avoiding him like that, Gargar put on a sad look again. Now, both ends of his lips are so down. His face became like the face of a child whining for candy.

"Mimi, please show that ugly monster video to Gargar!" Evan yelled from under the bed.

Evan's cellphone automatically displayed a video of the spherical monster rolling into the policemen. Gargar watched the video closely.

"Do you have the ability to defeat that monster, Gargar?" Evan asked.

Mimi added. "For your information. The monster's skin can reflect bullets, Gargar."

Gargar rubbed his chin. "I don't know, Master ... However, I have a few things I can try."

Evan popped his head out from under the bed. "If I asked you to fight that unbelievably strange monster, would you ask to hug and kiss me?"

Gargar looked closely at his master. Evan swallowed hard. He was anxious about Gargar's answer. It could be more traumatic for him if the sugar guy asked for that particular activity.

Taking an unusually long breath, Gargar closed his eyes, then shook his head softly. "No, Master. I know the outpouring of my love will only torture you. I will hold back with all my might, even though my heart is struggling."

"Is that true?" Evan sounded doubtful. The beings who were given life by him did not always obey his orders. Take Popo for example. The potato chip girl didn't want to buy him a snack and continued to attack the wolf monster even though Evan had forbidden her.

Instead of answering his master's question, Gargar stood up. His head was lowered and his hands were clenched tightly. Evan could see that the potbellied sugar guy's body was shaking violently. Looks like he really did hold back his desires with all his might.

Wiping his face, Evan got out from under the bed. "Very well, I will believe you. Please don't betray my trust. I could be more and more traumatized."

Yes, to save people, he had to take risks. Although the risk is absurd as being hugged and kissed by a man with frizzy hair and a pink suit.

Evan grabbed his jacket from the coat hanger, then stretched his hand out to the sugar guy. "Then, help me, Partner."

Gargar immediately gawked with full emotion when he saw Evan's hand. He even covered his mouth.

"Hurry up." Evan chuckled irritably.

"Yes, I will help you, Master!" Gargar held his master's hand tightly.

Feeling a sticky texture like melted sugar, Evan pulled his hand away. "Then, come on."

Gargar nodded firmly. His sad expression had disappeared at once, replaced by a look full of determination. Evan put on his jacket and picked up his cellphone. He was about to put the phone in his trouser pocket, but he remembered that it seemed inappropriate for a girl like Mimi to get close to his genitals.

He decided to take the small bag off the hanger and put Mimi in it. Then, he asked again. "Come on."

Evan walked out of the room, followed by Gargar. That young man would never have thought that he would do something heroic like this, even if he was just standing by, while Gargar would fight the monster. In his whole life, Evan didn't care about other people's business, and never wanted to do charity work because it's too troublesome.

However, if he doesn't care now, many people may get hurt or even die. He may be haunted by remorse because he could have done something, but chose to do nothing.

Therefore, even though his heart was beating fast, his body began to tremble, and his heart was filled with terror about what might happen to him, the young man chose to keep on walking.

"Where are you going at this time of night, Evan?"

It was Jon's voice. The old man was standing by Evan's motorbike, which was still parked outside. Dressed in his signature white shirt with vertical stripes, he smiled.

With sharp eyes and heavy breathing, Evan replied, "I and Gargar are going to fight that monster."

"What makes you think it's your business?" Jon started to move forward. "I know how much you want to help. You don't want anyone to get hurt, do you? However, getting rid of these threats is the duty of the authorities, not you. Besides, we don't want your power to be seen by many people. It will only trouble you. Take it easy young man, I guarantee the authorities can control all of this. They will use a different method than before .... "

"Is that true? The authorities can control all of this?" Evan interrupted in a brisk tone. He then stroked his chest and took a deep breath. "Thank God then, I don't have to do this." After that, he turned to Gargar. "Come on, Gargar, we go back in."

After saying that, Evan went straight into his house. Gargar gaped with a puzzled face for a moment, before finally following his master, leaving Jon alone in the yard.

Jon froze with a smile lingering on his face.

However, not long after, Evan peeked through the open door. "Would you like to come in, Mr. Jon?"

"No need." Mr. Jon shook his head lightly, widening his smile. "Good night."

"Good night." Evan nodded his head slightly at the old man, then closed the door from the inside.
