Evan sat in the front seat of the car with a tense face. Since there was nothing wrong with his body, he was allowed to go home the next day, although the joints in his body were still stiff.

Seeing her lover's expression, Fiona narrowed her eyes.

"Seriously, what's the matter with you?" The girl asked for the umpteenth time. "What's in your mind?"

Evan shrugged. He was amazed by the instincts of the former Xione planet warrior. "I'm really okay."

Fiona's gaze shifted to Anderson, who was focused on driving.

Realizing he was being watched, Anderson made a zipper gesture. "I'm not going to say anything. This mouth is shut tight, Fiona."

"So there's something, right?" Fiona's tone grew even more suspicious. "I knew it all along."
