I could now understand the pain that had been aching in my heart ever since I awoke. My memory was a bit hazy due to the fact that I was drugged, but I remember how I just sat silently as Elizabeth had been prosecuted in court.

My heart bled silently back then, but I didn't understand what I was doing. My head was clouded with the drugs that Katarina had slipped under the guise of medicine. She must have also connived with the doctor that mother and father blindly trusted to treat me.

Katarina was screaming beside me now, calling men that came with us to accompany me away from the crowds. Her face was red with a mix of anger and desperation, and I could feel it with the way she had shrieked. She was really something, I had to admit.

"Get William back to the carriage," she instructed the men that had grabbed me by my arms, "He needs to see the doctor for his headaches have worsened."
