The Final Winner

Yes, she did mature during the past two years but why did God give him genes to look like an angel? Luna was swayed by his doll-like appearance and his voice which matches his looks.

Daniel does not receive a response to his greeting and instead sees the boy staring at him.

His skin was as white as snow, even paler than himself, and he has short jet black hair with bangs just like him on the forehead. His neighbor was wearing a white hoodie with black shorts.

His red eyes were significantly lighter because of the glasses covering his eyes, but Daniel's eyes were sharp enough to perceive it. "Hello?" he said again to the boy, hoping it would make the boy notice him.

Hearing his voice again Luna finally got out of her thoughts. She tries her best to respond with her low-pitched male voice "Uh! Sorry...what did you just say?"

After learning that the black-haired boy was spaced out, Daniel in front of her shook his head slightly and handed her the box in his hand, smiling at the boy again, and telling him "I just moved next door today, the name Daniel."

"Hi...I'm Everett," Luna told Daniel her fake name which White randomly generated to register for her fake identity two years ago with her low pitch voice. Of course, she has been practicing for it, and she is glad that he moved in just after she mastered it perfectly.

A baby's sobbing voice was heard before Daniel could say anything else to his neighbor.

Luna didn't even take the box that was almost in her grasp. She dashed towards the voice, leaving Daniel standing on the doorstep, the box still clutched in his grasp.

Ian was the owner of the voice. If he doesn't see Luna on her bed opposite his bassinet, he'll use his crying to call her first thing in the morning.

He was quickly picked up by Luna, he didn't even have to use his sobbing voice much. Luna softly touched the baby's back and said, "I am here."

During these years, she learned how to properly handle a baby. She has already proven to be Ian's ideal older sister. Ian has grown under her constant watch.

With Luna's aid, he has already learned to crawl and stand. He still wasn't able to walk perfectly. His crimson red hair has also been cut in a cute manner.

Shadow has taken on the role of stylist for them. Ian's crest was placed on the back of his neck. He has the same crest as James, which is a lightning bolt shape with a purple hue.

After seeing Luna running into her room because of Ian, Shadow couldn't help but get up from his seat.

He went to the door. The boy from next door was still standing in front of their door.

Previously, Shadow was watching Luna and the boy, Daniel from the camera, and he knew the boy had come to give them the box, so he approached him and reached for the box in the boy's hand. "Thanks," Shadow said as he took it.

Tut

The white door closed.

"Uh?" Daniel was taken aback for a while, but he quickly regained his composure because he had been treated far worse. For him, this was a walk in the park. He was overjoyed that he had finally made it out of the Hellhole.

He will try to forgive the one who makes the hell out of his life as much as he can.

Like other elementalists, Daniel was eager to begin his new life. His neighbors, unlike the other people he has known in his life, conversed with him. They just need a little more time to get to know one another.

His head is filled with pleasant thoughts, making him joyful. He wanted to get back to his house and consider how he could make friends with the boy next door, who appeared to be his age.

'Everett I am gonna try to make you my friend!'

Inside the house, Shadow took the box to the place where he was sitting before, he cut the box open with his shadow element. A glass bottle filled with candies, chocolates, and lollipops came out of it.

A white feather with a trace of black was tied up with a ribbon to the glass bottle. With his hand, Shadow touched the feather. The feather appears to be soft and warm, but touching it changes it all, it's sturdy and rigid, almost as if it were formed of a diamond.

'It's not a regular feather' he firmly thought.

"Did the ange--Daniel leave?" Luna asked, interrupting his thoughts. She was carrying Ian in her arms and approaching Shadow slowly, her eyes looking in the direction of the entrance.

Shadow answered her, "He did."

"Did I...um...fail?" expecting a positive response from Shadow, despite the fact that she had made a mistake, Luna asked him.

Shadow looks at her in the eyes, "Yes, you did."

He smirked as if he had won at some competition, he continued to say "No blood for a month."

"Why!" she exclaimed.

Blood is the only thing she can taste, therefore she wasn't obsessed with anything else other than blood. Even though she has good control over her emotions, being cut off from not only Shadow's but also animal blood was complete torture. It is the same impression of being told not to consume any food for a month.

"No means no," Shadow said after seeing Luna's depressed-looking face.

'So strict!' she cried inwardly.

"Fine!" she stomps a little as she walks to the kitchen.

The stomps were light but the floor could feel a little shake. Luna returned to the living room when she realized she couldn't prepare food with Ian in her arms.

Placing Ian in Shadow's arms, she had a grin on her face on the way back to the kitchen.

Shadow and Ian exchange glances after seeing Luna leaving them. They clearly do not get along. Ian bites the hand that was holding him. It doesn't hurt much since Ian still doesn't have many teeth.

"Are you--" Shadow paused in the middle of what he was about to say. Ian is only two years old and is still a baby.

'What's the use of fighting with a baby?' he gave up again. Seeing Shadow's change of expression, Ian giggles realizing that he has won.
