Her Bloodline

Han Tengfei continues walking down while concluding"We don't have to if you don't want her to know but mother might have an idea of why that happened since she has knowledge of things even the imperial family are unaware of, in the end it's up to you i will follow what you decide."

She thought about it and agreed "I think you're right it's better to tell mother in case she does but what identity did mother have to get all that knowledge in the first place?"

He scratched his head in irritation "I don't know, I have been questioning mother for years now but she always avoids the topic whenever it comes up by either distracting me or changing the subject."

She nods "Mother is quite mysterious but she must've have her reasons after all she cares about us a lot plus I don't think it's a good idea to know too much since the more you know the faster you get silence if you aren't strong enough to protect yourself."

They see their mother waiting at the door for them once they reached the courtyard.

Upon seeing them Ye Lihua sighed in relief and asked in a stern tone "Where have you been, the examination should've ended hours ago."

Han Tengfei smile apologetically "It's my fault I should've informed you about coming back late."

Han Chunhua peak out from behind and stared at her with her sparkling eyes "Mother don't blame brother, he brought me out to explore the streets since it was the first time I left the household. "

Looking at her eyes full of guilt her anger dissipated "Fine I'll drop the topic anyway which class were you assigned to Xiao Fei?"

He looked at her in disbelief "Did the slightest possibility of me failing not cross your mind?"

"If you did then I would've disowned you" as her smile sends a shiver down his spine.

He face twitches "Then what if Huahua was the one who failed?"

Han Chunhua shouted "Brother!"

Ye Lihua return to a warm smile "She would still be my precious daughter of course."

At this moment he felt as if the world was unfair "Why would she still be your precious daughter if she fail while I get disowned."

"Isn't it obvious, it's because I'm cute" Han Chunhua said while Ye Lihua nodded in agreement.

Han Tengfei went and picked her up to sit on his shoulders "Well no arguments here."

He coughed "Ahem back to the topic of which class I'm in, I got into the heaven class."

Ye Lihua turned and walked into the courtyard "Congratulations Xiao Fei to celebrate I made all of your favourite for dinner."

He licked his lips thinking about the food "By the way mother we have something to ask you after dinner."

Afterwards Han Tengfei turned to his mother and reiterate what happened in the alley "That it, do you happen to have know why vines grew out of her body and devoured the bird."

Ye Lihua seems to be internally struggling and after hesitating for 5 minutes she sighed with a serious expression "Yes I do, now I want you two to listen carefully as this is about your lineage and under no circumstances is this to be spread to outsiders, can you swear to the heavens that what I'm about to tell you will not leave this room?"

They both stood up and swore "We swear to the heavens that if we were to divulge this information to outsiders may we be struck by lightning and allow our souls to disperse never to enter the cycle of reincarnation again. "

Her expression relaxed slightly "Good, now the reason your sister grew vines out of her body is most likely the cause of her bloodline threatening to awaken."

Han Tengfei looked confused "Bloodline, from which side of the family and why haven't I awaken any if hers is threatening to awaken at the age of six?"

Ye Lihua patiently explained "To answer your questions the bloodline comes from my side of the family and there could be several reasons why yours didn't awaken yet, firstly it could be because of the concentration of blood belonging to the bloodline in your body is too little, secondly it could be that your blood has little to no purity, thirdly it could be that you haven't triggered the Bloodline. In your sister's case either the concentration or purity of the blood is around 60% resulting in her awakening earlier however if that were true then there should be signs"

He rummaged through his memory and thought of something "Mother would feeling comfortable in forests count?"

"Yes, why?" she asked before pausing.

He scratch his head embarrassingly "Well yesterday after playing hide and seek sister told me that she feels at ease in the forest for no apparent reason, I thought it was just a trivial matter so I didn't tell you."

Ye Lihua turned to Han Chunhua and questions "When did you start feeling comfortable in the forest?"

She recounted "I think it was the moment I first stepped in."

Her expression turned grim "This is not good chances are both your bloodline concentration and purity is above 60%."

Confused Han Tengfei asked "What wrong with having both above 60% doesn't that just mean she really lucky?"

She explained "It would be fine if it were other bloodlines but having both above 60% would make it hard to control and restrain especially for a child since their body can't contain the power of the bloodline, best case scenario they end up with their internal organs damage worst case scenario their bloodline will self-destruct eventually leading to death."

Once Han Chunhua heard that she cursed internally 'Damn it all why does this bloodline have a chance to self-destruct after awakening, actually the very fact that there a bloodline that can self-destruct makes no sense what so ever.'

His face turn as pale as a sheet of paper "Is there anyway we can prevent it from happening?"
