After Party Snacks

Both Eos and Lilith walked through the plaza even though they were in their dresses, "I want the delicious pastries at the pastry that Arachne introduced us to." Lilith began tugging at Eos' sleeve as she pointed at the general direction where the pastry shop was located. Like a older sister to the younger, Eos would only indulge the single minded Lilith who very much enjoyed anything with strong flavors. As they entered the alleyway in which the pastry shop was situated in there was a familiar silhouette, "Hey, its Arachne!" Lilith pointed to Arachne who was talking to pastry chef over the counter.

Eos quickly pulled Lilith to another section of the alleyway out of sight of the two in the pastry shop, "Shh! Let's just watch for a bit before we go eat." The two girl watch the scene with beating hearts watching Arachne and the pastry chef, "Do you think that Arachne likes the pastry chef?" Eos inquired to Lilith who immediately gasp as that the two people could be a secret relationship with each other. Both of the girl immediately began squealing among each other as they continue to watch the two.

Lilith began excitingly squealing to herself as quietly as possible, "I mean like why not?" She respond as they both giggled, "He is a pastry chef so it guarantees good food and he is handsome." The both of them clasped their hands together as they continued to watch the couple interact with each other. It was long before Arachne initiated a kiss on her part which immediately caused the girls to gasp and giggle loudly, "They did it! They kissed!" Lilith shouted before she realized that she was too loud and that the couple noticed their presence.

Arachne immediately whipped her head hearing the familiar voice behind she ran over to them, "I thought you two were at the Bassett's." Pulling the two of them into the store where the pastry chef had already started making sweets, "Was there anyone else here too?" Arachne popped her head out of the store to scan the vicinity of the area to check for another people snooping after.

Lilith chuckled as Eos shooked her head giggling at the situation as the pastry chef placed some sweets which was accompanied by some beautiful drinks as a bribe to keep the secret, "Don't worry, I had a little friend check the area." She began sipping at the delicious drinks that were provided as everyone sat in the cozy shop. A small speckle of light hovered around the sweets as it rested on the plate. The pasty chef, Yael, was the talented pastry who Arachne reintroduced to them.

Lilith and Eos knew that they would have to keep the couple's relationship a secret but they would be happy to keep it since they love seeing a couple blossom amongst their group. Yael, on the other hand, was intrigued by the floating spirit that was supposedly eating the food that he had made. He began to reach out for the spirit to no avail since it was quickly spoked and rushed over into the safety of Eos' hair. After being rejected by the spirit, "Spirits are wary of humans outside of their settlement so it's natural of them to avoid people." You could almost see the illusion of dog ears flopping in depression because the spirit was sprinted away.

Arachne chuckled at the Yael's moping at the spirit's natural rejection but the tinkling of her laugh only caused him to bashfully smile in response. Eos could see why Arachne fell for Yael who was quite the non talkative person but the two complimented each other. Eos didn't need to know the person directly to tell if they were genuine or not but it was like she could feel the energy that the person emitted. It was almost a sixth sense that had saved her on countless occasions.

Most people have very lukewarm energy; some slightly warmer or slight colder. The people which Eos acquainted herself with were people that had very warm energy that was similar to if she were to lay in the sun. Whilst people who had bad intentions against her would instantly feel disgusting as their energy would try to suck her own energy. The worst one being the Duke's which was purely disgusting; sometimes it would make her puke. Yael's energy wasn't as warm as the people she loved since he was still a stranger but it was enough to say that he would a genuine person to Arachne.

Soon, they would have to separate soon as more customer came into the store which then Yael had to serve the customers. Both Eos and Lilith continued to enjoy the desserts with the occasional time that Eos would feed Arachne who equally enjoyed the desserts. Lilith just engulfed the plates which she had later ordered and surprisingly she didn't get her dress ruin from any of the sauces or cream. They soon finished their desserts after they were completely satisfied by their cravings with everyone departing from the cafe and returning back to their respective estates.

However, Eos wanted to stay out longer seeing as there wasn't much to do even if she returned back to the Monciuax estate at this time. Thus began the unplanned wandering to through the capital; as her heels clunked at her every footstep against the cobblestone pathway. Eos began window shopping as she passed by shops that peeked her interest; toy store, salon, bakeries and even medical shops. But, they were only fleeting as they quickly passed over her mind and since there wasn't much taking her interest. Eos decided to participate in a tour of the capital citadel which had protected the empire during the much raging wars especially during the Magic War.

The tour guide was only escorting a few people since it was leading to the winter seasons which there were many tourist coming during the shivering cold of the empire. People who were participating in the tour guide were some people outside the empire mostly likely scholars or people in a similar field. Eos mindlessly listened to the tour guide brief history of the citadel before moving on to the explanation of the foundations of the citadel but this knowledge was known to Eos who had studied about the empire many years ago. The sun was setting as it poured a heavenly glow over the capital but to Eos it was a warmth that she enjoy as there was a slight breeze since they were up so high.

The tour guide gestured to the visitors, "Moving on down in the interior," The tour guide footstep were trodden away from Eos as he descended down the stairway, "I will tell you of the myths that this citadel holds to this very day." His voice was muffled as he went inside the walls of the citadel. Eos was starting to hear less of the conversation from the tour guide as her mind wonder as she stood on the wall basking under the sunlight. She began humming an old tune that her mother use to sing to her when she was younger. The lyric were long forgotten by Eos who hadn't heard the song for so long but the rhythm was something she could remember.

A small thud on the ground immediately startled her, "Excuse me, Miss were you separated from the tour group?" A guard who was roughly her Silas age if not slightly older asked politely as he held his head down seemly paying respect as he could tell that she was a noble. The helm covered the top half of his face but the slight stubble gave some hint to his age.

Eos nodded as she sighed seeing as her momentary peace was disrupted and she would have to return back to continue the tour guide, "I was distracted by the beautiful view just wanted to enjoy the moment as is." The view was indeed beautiful especially during this time, "It's rare for me to enjoy such a simple thing like this." Eos continued to watch the slow descent of the sun dropping into the horizon as the guard silently accompanied her.

Soon, it was completely engulfed by the horizon and though it was still somewhat bright the street lamps lit up the streets that were crowded with people coming from the end of their jobs for the day. Eos released a breath before turning back to return back home to see the guard was still there waiting, "Miss, you're ready to return home?" The guards saluted as he gave her way down the pathway of the citadel, "Do you wish for me to hail a carriage for you?" He politely asked as he escorted her down the citadel so that she could return home safely.

Eos smiled in gratitude as she gave a curtsied to the guard before being allowed to be escorted down the citadel, "Thank you for escorting me, sir." If she were on the stairs the guard would hold out his hand to aid her down the uneven stair that had eroded over time which was slightly covered in moss, "Would it be possible to know the name of my escort tonight?" Tilting her head as she pursued her lips as she gave a small smile to the gentlemen who was probably the only other person beside her father to treat her with courtesy.

The guard saluted before taking off his helm, "Casimir, no last name." Revealing a handsome man who had sharp eyes which could scare people who the energy that exuded from him was so warm that it was almost too much for Eos that it would make her feel at ease. He began to fetch a spare carriage for Eos who patiently waited for him at a curb. Soon a rental carriage was retrieved to take Eos to her destination which was home.

Casimir lent a hand to Eos so that she could enter the carriage, "Thank you, Casimir for listening to me and also getting me a carriage." Giving out a smile which gave the man sort of a heart attack before he bowed his head in nervousness. Eos took a ribbon from her pocket to tie her hair into a low pony tail so that it wouldn't fly any further in the wind before stepping into the carriage.

He held his helm in both turning his head away to hide his burning face but no avail since Eos could see his ears were flaming pink, "If it isn't too impolite." He turned his head back so that he could have look at Eos face, "May I know what is your ladyship's name?" The man was anticipating for Eos who was shocked but giggled.

Eos knew that naming herself as her noble persona wouldn't be suitable for this situation, "It's Epione. Epione Ferdinand." It was inherently weird for Eos to be using her actual name since she was so use to being identified as Eos Moncaiux.
