You'll see.

My phone rings for the billionth time that morning but I just ignore it and groan instead.

After I dropped Chelsea off at her house, I borrowed her car and drove home straight.

I got home a little after ten and went straight to bed. I didn't even bother to check if my parents were home or not.

And now here I am, with my freaking loud ringing tone disturbing me.

I search for my phone and I finally find it lost somewhere in the sheets.

"Hello?" I grumble.

"Well, someone's up early." He chuckles and I open my eyes immediately.

"Jaxon?"

"The one and only." I sit upright.

"Hi." My voice squeaks and I clear my throat.

"Hi to you too."

"I didn't know you'd call this early."

"Early? Dude this is 2:50 in the afternoon." My eyes widen.

"What?"

"Yeah. I called you several times thinking something had happened but then, I called Chelsea and she said you were probably sleeping."

"I'm so sorry. I was really exhausted. I came to bed straight immediately I got home." I use my free hand to tuck my hair from my face.

"It's alright. At least you're okay."

"Yes, I'm fine." I nod.

"Good. Wanna grab lunch together?"

"I don't see why not."

"Cool. I'm outside." Again, my eyes widen.

"What?"

He can't-

"Yup."

"You're kidding right?"

"Nope. Should I ring the doorbell as proof?"

"No!"

"Too late." Immediately, I hear the doorbell ring. "I'll be waiting for you." He says and ends the call.

Ohmygod

Jaxon's in my house.

Right now.

Probably talking with my parents.

Shit!

I climb down from my bed hurriedly and I fall down.

Face first

"Ow." I get back up and rush to the bathroom.

I was still in last night's clothes and I felt a little yucky.

An hour later, I'm dressed in a purple long sleeve top tucked into a jean high waist short skirt and white sneakers. I have minimal makeup on and my hair's in a ponytail with loose strands falling from it and I carry my white cross bag.

I walk downstairs and I see Jaxon and my mom both looking at my baby pictures in the living room.

"And here was when she lost her front tooth while-"

"Guys!" I interrupt my mom from embarrassing me further.

"Hey sweetie, you're up already." She smiles at me. "I saw you pass by this morning on the way to your room."

"Really? Didn't see you."

"Figured you were tired." She shrugs.

"What are you doing?" I change the subject and she looks at the album in front of her.

"Jaxon showed up and you were taking so long to get ready, so I decided to show him your baby pictures." She says innocently.

"Best decision ever." Jaxon chimes in with a smile and I glare at him.

"That's inappropriate!"

"And how's that?" She asks.

"Aren't you supposed to be at work?" I change the subject. Again.

"Night shift." She smiles.

"Well Jaxon and I have to go now, so see you later." I eye Jaxon and at first he doesn't catch on.

"Oh! Right." He stands. "It was a pleasure looking at Summer's baby pictures with you Mrs Hathaway."

"It's nothing." She waves it off.

"Bye mom." I wave to her and she waves back.

We both walk out of the house and into Jaxon's car.

"I never-"

"Don't speak of it." I warn and he puts his hands up in surrender.

"Just wanted to say how cute you were when you were little." He unlock the door and we both enter.

"How cute I was?"

"Truthfully, you were cuter than you are now."

"Isn't that's how it's supposed to be?" He shakes his head.

"Don't think so." I roll my eyes.

"I can't believe you were really outside my house." I change the subject again as I buckle up.

"What can I say? I was worried." He defends.

"What if I wasn't down for lunch? Or wasn't home?" I ask as he starts the engine.

"Well, that'd have been bad." He chuckles and pulls out of the driveway.

"So where to?" I ask.

"You see the thing is, I want us to have some fun before lunch."

"Really?" He nods. "So what's your definition of fun?" I ask him and he smiles.

"You'll see."
