Meeting the family.

"So this is what we're going to do." Jaxon says as we enter the supermarket. "My mom sent two lists. One for fruit and veggies, the other for cereals and liquids. I'll send the fruit and veggies to your phone. You'll get that and I'll get the cereals and liquids."

"Do I get to try free samples?"

"Not without me." I roll my eyes. "Just sent you the list, so I'll see you in 15." He begins to walk away.

"15? I'm going to need a solid 30 to look for fruits and veggies."

"Urghhhh." He lifts his head up. "Fine. Just meet me at counter five okay?" He goes to find a cart, leaving me alone.

"Just meet me at counter five okay?" I mimick him before I leave to find a cart.

Two hours later, we've paid and parked everything safely in Jaxon's trunk.

"So you'll drop me off before you head home?" I ask as I put on my seat belt.

"Who told you I'm dropping you off?" He pulls out of the parking lot.

"You want me to meet your family?" I ask.

"You don't want to meet my family?" He asks back.

"It's not that. It's just that-"

"You think it's weird meeting my family." He finishes.

I mean we just met like, three weeks ago?

"C'mon. Why would you think it's weird for a friend if mine to meet my family?

Oh.

Friend of his.

"I don't know either." I shrug

"And besides, I've met your family. I don't see why you can't meet mine."

"True." I nod and the conversation ends at that.

Some minutes later, we get to his house.

It's not too big, neither is it small but it gives off 'the rich family living here' vibe.

We both get down and I help him with some of the groceries.

"Remember my mom ask silly questions, try not to answer as much as you can. My dad's not home now but if he is, he goes straight to educational questions, and my sister-"

"Jaxon, you should have called me to help you out." A woman with dark hair comes meet us by the car.

She's dressed in sweatsuit.

"I didn't want to stress you." He replies.

"And why-" She sees me. "Who is the fine young lady?" She smiles and comes to hug me.

"This is my friend, Summer." He turns to me. "Summer, my mom."

"You didn't tell me you were bringing a friend home." She pulls away.

"I didn't know you'll send me grocery shopping." He returns.

"Hi Mrs Prinston."

"Please don't call me that." She waves it off. "Just call me Gloria." She smiles and I notice her hazel eyes.

"So this is Summer?" She asks Jaxon and he rolls his eyes.

"Yes mom, this is Summer."

"Let me help you with that." She takes the groceries.

"It's fin-"

"Nonsense." She interuppts me. "A guest shouldn't carry groceries." We all walk inside and towards the kitchen.

Jaxon drops the bags on the counter.

"I'm going to change. I'll be right back." He starts to walk away but he turns at the last minute. "Mom?"

"Yes dear?"

"Please don't ask her silly questions." He pleads.

"Nonsense. Don't worry, she's in safe hands."

"Shout my name if you need help." He says to me and I nod.

He leaves us and Gloria starts to unpack the groceries.

The kitchen is just like a chef's kitchen. Smaller than it though. Has a big counter with sink in the center, an in-cabinet fridge freezer, and all other things in a chef's kitchen.

"So," she starts as she looks at me with a twinkle in her eye. "How long have you and my son been dating?" She asks and I look at her shocked.

"Um.... we're just friends."

"Friends?"

"Friends." I nod.

"But the way he talks about you doesn't imply you're just friends."

"Excuse me?"

She smiles.

"This should be good." She rests on the counter. "He forgets about everything and everyone when he talks about you."

"What exactly does he say?" I get interested.

"Well-"

"Mom! I'm hungry and- who's this?" A blond girl walls in. She's in blue shorts and a white tank top. Her hair's packed in two piggy tails and she looks familiar.

Very familiar.

"Hi. I'm Summer." I wave.

"Wait, she's Summer?" She looks at her mom.

"The one and only." Gloria nods.

Okay why do people keep saying that?

"She even looks better than he described her." She says again.

"I know right." Gloria agrees.

The girl walks towards me.

"I'm Taylor. My dumb brother didn't tell me you're this pretty."

"Um. I don't know what to say about that. Quick question, did you say your name is Taylor?"

"Yup. Taylor Prinston." My eyes widen.

"Wait, are you?"

"Yes." She nods. "I'm the Taylor Prinston."

"Ohmygod. You're like very famous! I can't believe I'm actually meeting you like this."

"I'd actually say the same about you. My brother-"

"Is the best being in the world." Jaxon completes as he walks in. He looked fresh from the shower and was in sweatsuit just like his mom.

He walks to the counter and grabs an apple.

"Why didn't you tell me you have a famous sister?" I ask him and he shrugs.

"And why didn't you tell me she's this pretty?" Taylor asks and again, he shrugs.

Taylor Prinston is a blogger. She posted her first blog when she was thirteen. And now, at fifteen, she already has more than five million followers on instagram, two million on Twitter and five hundred thousand on snapchat.

If that isn't internet famous, then I don't know what that is.

She posts weekly and has merchs that brings in quite enough for a girl her age.

"I didn't think it mattered." He says to us both.

"Honey, why don't you show Summer around the house. I'll call you both when dinner's ready." She turns to me. "You are staying for dinner right?" I nod and she smiles.

"Great."

"C'mon Hathaway. Let's look around." Jaxon says and we both walk out of the kitchen.
