CHAPTER 5 - THE CEO

As she arrives at the company that she will be working, she was amazed by it.

Literally, her jaw drops at the huge and lavish building she has seen in her life……she feels so small by just looking at it.

You’ll be embarrassed on stepping at the very shiny floor and holding the furniture with a very expensive design.

Althea hurriedly approach the reception desk to ask direction where she could find the office of Ms. Jade Howell

The receptionist was kind enough to point the direction where Ms. Howell’s office is and she almost falls on her chair while looking at the young lady’s beauty.

Althea just shrugs it off, thinking the lady behind the desk was just surprised to see a new face.

While she was walking down the lobby she couldn’t comprehend why the people are staring at her and some are smiling at her awkwardly.

She just responds with a smile and continues walking towards the elevator.

She’s already in front of the elevator when it began to open, she immediately went inside and press the 50th floor where the CEO of the company is.

The whole 50th floor is occupied by the CEO of the company and it has a special code that you have to encode before the elevator will automatically open.

She doesn’t have to worry since the receptionist downstairs gave her the code earlier because before she arrives they were instructed that the new PA of the CEO will be coming, they even have her picture just to make sure.

Althea feels nervous and at the same time petrified, her hand becomes sweaty she wiped it with the handkerchief she is carrying.

When the elevator halts at her destination, she instantly presses the code she has that was given to her by the receptionist so she could open the door.

As the door swung open, she immediately went out of the elevator. She saw a young woman behind the receiving counter, in her mind she thought…..the young woman may be the CEO’s secretary.

With no hesitation, she went directly to the young woman she sees.

“Hi, good morning I’m Althea Castro I have an 8:00 Am appointment with the CEO?” Confidently uttered the young lady, even though she’s nervous but she didn’t let it notice.

“Good Morning too Ms., oh yes I know….I have your picture, I’m glad you’re early. The CEO is not yet here but you can wait for her in her office, kindly follow me please?” Voiced out the young woman, who is now standing leading her inside the CEO’s office.

“Okay just seat here for a while and just be comfortable, is there anything that I can offer you with?

Coffee, tea, juice, or water perhaps?” Respectfully asked the young woman with a sincere smile etched on her face.

“No, but thank you.” Gently answered Althea.

It alleviates her nervousness a little, because of how welcomed the receptionist to her, it warmed her inside.

“By the way, I’m Dominique Sanchez, secretary of the CEO and you are? I'm sorry I was not able to get your name earlier." Introduce the young woman to herself, stretching her hand for a handshake.

“Nice meeting you Ms. Dominique and I’m Althea Castro hoping to be the new Personal Assistant of the CEO.” Receiving the hand of the young woman in front of her.

“Oh so you are the new Personal Assistant…..don’t worry and I think you already got the job since Madam Clara now informed all the people who work there about the new PA of her daughter. Just relax all is well, don’t worry, I’ll just leave you for a moment then…..nice meeting you again Althea.” With all that said the secretary excuse herself.

While the young lady was waiting for her future boss, the door suddenly slammed open and it reveals a very furious-looking woman.

To the young lady’s trepidation, she suddenly stood up from her seat………..startled by what just take place.

“Dominique who was in-charge in Bell-Air project!?” Frantically shouted the woman who just arrives, followed by her secretary with documents in hand, struggling to balance it.

“It’s Mr. Gerome Almida ma’am.” Answered Dominique while still following the woman, cautious of what she will answer. Dominique doesn’t want to witness The She-Devil within of the young CEO.

The devious woman who just arrive seat on her very expensive executive chair……..In Althea’s mind, she is sure that she is the CEO of the company that will become her boss.

When Althea sees the wholeness of the woman……she was star-struck by the beauty the woman possesses.

She’s a goddess, her face is so enchanting.

The CEO rubs her aching temple, when she raises her head she notices directly the young lady.

The young CEO’s beautiful face suddenly puckered and now she is gawking at the beauty of this person in front of her.

When her consciousness came back to her senses, she turned to her secretary with questioning eyes.

Her secretary gets what she was thinking even though she’s not saying anything to her.

“Ms. Jade before anything else this is Althea Castro your new Personal Assistant that Madam Clara recommended for you.” Informed Dominique.

The young CEO stands from her seat and approaches the young lady in front of her; she notices that the latter is more attractive up close. Her beauty is so captivating and definitely, you will not get tired of staring at her lovely face.

‘She can get used to this.’ She thought, looking at the girl intently.

You can say that there are beautiful people at first glance and eventually you will get used to it, but the magnificence of this young lady is so uncanny, it’s like your being under a spell.

If she could just stare at this lady the whole day, she would. But then again……..

The young CEO just shook her head getting rid of the thought she just has.

“So you are the one whom my mom recommends? I’m sorry if I startled you earlier. By the way, I’m Jade Howell the CEO, and you are?” Formally introducing herself to the lady and asking her, her name. She heard her secretary a while ago. She just wants to know how the girl can carry a conversation.

“Althea Castro ma’am, pleased to meet you.” Introduce herself to her soon-to-be boss while extending her hand for a shake hand.

The young CEO gladly accept her hand……..the moment the tip of their fingertips touched, an unknown feeling emerge between them. The sensation of familiarity and warmth travel to their being awaken their souls.

And when their hands clasp together an electrifying feeling begun to materialize tickling them even the tiniest veins there is…….how can this be possible? Just a mere touch can let you feel anything and everything.

Still, eyes glued to each other searching for an answer, Althea is the first to remove her hand slowly……..looking at it searching for an answer and she got none.

While the young CEO is still dumbfounded of what just transpired between her and this woman in front of her.
