Yet Another Problem

~Chapter 56~

"Relka!" Mae stated, having tapped the pendant and thrust her hand to her side, a sudden trail of static racing down her arm.

Closing her hand, she found a cold, solid metal shaft within it, the unexpected weight, leading to a hollow clinking noise as the crescent end struck the floor.

"Sorry." She was quick to apologize; stabilizing the weapon with both hands.

"Marvelous," Maftah'pon proclaimed as she admired the intricacies of the wavy markings along the shaft and blades. It was lighter than she'd anticipated, and a raised floral motif in the central area of the shaft, provided a comfortable grip, while the rest was pristine and smooth. At a distance it truly would look as if she was holding an arrow with a spade shaped head.

"Umm, how do I put it away?"

"Say, release or think it very loudly and let it go."
