Elahemé (Mae) loved the life she shared with her husband, Jack and their dog, Koobs. She never expected that one day, she would fall into the arms of an alien, a half-blood Ech’latean, named Venificus (Ven), with explosive consequences. Carried through the Dailen Shaad, she quickly discovers that she is injured and trapped in a world that isn’t her own. Follow Mae’s journey as she struggles, learns and adventures, while striving to find a way back home.

Mae and Rah'dimah continued their conversation, Liri eventually joining in, until Nimaro returned with the food and drink, and then they switched to a less sensitive subject, as to 'not embarrass the human further.' With Nimaro joining them, the king arrived a minute behind, thus Mae shifted from the throne to lounging next to Nimaro, so the King could relax at his Queen's side.


Mae enjoyed the shift in the dynamics; the men leading the conversation, although Rah'dimah easily kept up, leaving Mae to rest, wrapped in Nimaro's akress. He hadn't said anything when she first came in contact with him, but she knew from the way he was holding her that he was aware of the state of her injury.


Jasper and the other children arrived back a while later. Having eaten their fill and run out of energy, they were sluggish and keen to sleep. Even the older boys were yawning as they walked through the pavilion, touching akress with the adults in greeting as they passed.
