Another countries help? 18

March 14th ,for the occupants, The moon in the preparation room…

As Seb watched the aftermath of the vehicles plowing through the shanty and its people he began to notice a slight difference in the makeup of the vehicles before the scene erupted into action once more with the soldiers in the vehicles pouring out and securing the area before starting to attempt to help those they had just driven through and harmed. Looking at the vehicles he could see the regular APCs that the Canadian military used such as Bisons, Coyotes, and LAVs but, along side those were Humvees with a different colour of paint job, and the soldiers that dismounted from these had a different colour uniform than the rest of the soldiers.

The distance this scene was recorded from made it impossible to make out the flag patch on these different soldiers but Seb knew that it definitely wasn't the maple leaf that adorned his countries flag, but was more than likely one with stars and stripes instead.

"Why are there U.S. soldiers in that convoy?", the confusion in his voice as he asked that question aloud caught Josiah's attention causing him to turn back to the hollo to see what Seb was talking about.

"Americans? Are you sure?", like Seb Josiah couldn't see any identifiers from the distance in the recording and couldn't see much difference between the soldiers besides the different colour some of them wore.

"Yah pretty sure anyways, those vehicles aren't used by the Canadian military but the U.S. uses them extensively which would explain their presence and the different paint job from all of those around it. I'm just curious what they're doing here in Calgary?"

"Maybe they volunteered to help?"

"Maybe, it's still a little odd. I can't imagine they'd have as many qualms about firing on people from another country so I hope we don't run into them in a bad situation when we're down there, I'd really hate to be shot by someone who mistook me for a zombie.", Seb finished that thought with a bit of worry in his voice, he doubted that even the Canadian guys toting guns wouldn't think twice of shooting him down if they were stuck in the gaming area with no way to escape.

"Your just being prejudiced, I'm sure they're fine and will do a good job, they can probably even help us if we manage to find them for assistance.", hope was colouring Josiah's response as he considered the option of getting trained soldiers to protect them.

Before Seb could respond a change occurred in the shanty as a few of the survivors broke from the group and began running across the road to climb the divider and continue clambering across the mangled cars, it started slowly but eventually all of those that could still move on their own either started to follow those first few to make their way over the smashed car pile or begin to cluster around the soldiers gesturing off screen towards the buildings to the side of the highway. But before the cause for the commotion could be resolved the hollo disappeared leaving it a mystery for those watching.

"The drivers would have heard the screams and commotion and would be coming to investigate soon…they're attracted by sound especially at night if you wake them.", Josiah said grimly like a man who had firsthand experience of such occurrences.

With a hand clap that sounded as loud as thunder Quirrel once again attracted all of the attention in the room before addressing those gathered beneath him, "Now that the basics have been explained and a few answers have been given to the more pressing questions, it's now time for everyone to undertake a brief examination for our book keeping and to update your biographies, and then all of you can begin your journey to stardom in THE SHOW!", Quirrel finished with a pirouette shooting sparks out from its hand into the air in a pyroclastic display.

"Hey Seb when we get down there I'd like us to stick as close together as possible…are you ok with that?", Josiah looked like a kid asking a girl out for the first time to Seb but he smiled at his friend and after placing a hand on his shoulder replied, "Ya for sure man, you and me I'll do my best to have your back at all times my guy, I can't have anything happen to an apprentice of mine.", the last was said with a bit of a grimace as he pulled his hand away sticky with partially dried gore, "ugh nasty…".

"And with that enough chit chat lets,", Quirrel had stopped spinning and now held its hand in front of its face ready to snap its fingers as it paused for effect, "begin…", and with that snap resounding in Seb's ears everything went white for a second time.

March 14th, for the occupants, the moon in examination room 4391

After his eyes cleared and he could look around to orientate himself he found himself on a slightly raised circular dias about a meter wide ringed with all sorts of different looking equipment ranging in look from normal yet unidentifiable equipment all the way to something that looked like a microscope made of wood and even a box chained to the ground covered in unidentifiable letters that traveled across its outer surface, besides those two very odd pieces there were many that looked to have different esthetic characteristics which probably indicated different species technology although why keep their esthetics if they had been conquered was baffling to Seb?

Everything was a sterile white besides those pieces of equipment that really stood out as oddities, and to be honest the more he looked the odder all of it was starting to look to him… he was more used to the clunky equipment you'd run into in the ER department when they were trying to piece you back together.

Reaching down and wiping the nasty sticky gore off his hand on the edge of the dias he was standing on he finally had his first personal interaction in this creepy sterile room, and what he heard really didn't set a positive tone in his opinion.

"Please refrain from dirtying my nice sterile room with anymore of your filth Gamer.", the voice was cold and devoid of any emotion sounding very robotic and dispassionate, "I'm a professional and take pride in my work environment.".

As Seb was starting to stand with his newly cleanish hand, the hairs on his arms started to rise as he could feel an electrical charge build in the air.
