Narrator: Having finally made it to Oasis, the Blitzwing crew have finally begun their assault on the Principality. However, with all this time spent away, the Principality have returned to assert their dominance. With both sides colliding for the first time in a while, it's time to see who will make their mark known on the world. Major General Kabuto: Alright, now that everyone's acquainted, let's go over the plan.

Sona: Right, I doubt the Principality will sit around much longer.

Major General Kabuto: I've accounted for every possible outcome. And through doing all of that, I've realized that the execution is going to be the most difficult part of this entire plan.

Zach: Why do you say that?

Major General Kabuto: The plan itself is simple. We're going to launch an assault on a Principality base. This base in particular holds a good amount of resources for them, and will be crucial in this war. After all, a war is as good as lost if you have nothing to sustain your efforts.

Capt. Maeko: Of course, that's one of the first things you ever taught me. So what's the hard part?

Baron Hampton: *Tries to contain his laughter*

*Ja'Skaar flies in and hits Baron on the top of the head*

Ja'Skaar: This is not the place or time for your indecency Baron!

Baron Hampton: Ouch that hurt!

C: Might we get back to more pressing matters?

Major General Kabuto: As I was saying, this base is crucial to turning the tide of this war. By taking this base, we can effectively cut off the Principality from much needed resources.

Sonjo: That sounds simple enough, but what's the dangerous part you're not telling us?

Major General Kabuto: The base we're trying to take over is very likely to have their lieutenant and commander there.

Jin: Who, Graves and Shenrei?

Khan: And that's a problem because…

C: Oh? Aren't you worried?

Sonjo: About Shenrei and Graves? No way!

Khan: Our training is paying off, we're getting stronger every second. They won't have the advantage for long.

Jin: Besides, there's no place for fear holding us back. Every second matters, there isn't any time to be afraid.

Major General Kabuto: I see, you're all a courageous group, I'll have to commit that to memory.

Alex: Was that the only cause for concern that you had?

Major General Kabuto: Of course not, I was also concerned about your safety.

Sonjo: Oh come on, we can take care of ourselves!

Fadra: No one here doubts that Sonjo, but that will never stop any of us from worrying about each other.

Kira: Besides, things continue to get more and more dangerous by the minute.

Zach: Is this really everything? It all seems so simple and straightforward.

Ja'Skaar: Something's not right. An assault on a Principality base is indeed straightforward, but we've already had a few encounters with Shenrei and Graves. Facing them again wouldn't be any more dangerous than previous times. So tell us Major General, what's really going on?

Major General Kabuto: Hmmm… Alright, I suppose I should tell you all the full truth.

Capt. Maeko: What is it?

Major General Kabuto: The base in particular is an underground complex inside Radeon. The base itself is nothing more than a giant maze. Meaning that whoever we send in there is very likely to get lost amidst all of that ground to travel.

Baron Hampton: Well, I can see how that would be cause for concern.

Capt. Maeko: But couldn't that just be resolved with careful planning and communication?

Major General Kabuto: Under normal circumstances yes, that would make this operation so much easier than it should be. However…

Sona: Before you all got here, we received intel on the base and the Principality. You see, we told you we felt that Shenrei and Graves would be there. What we didn't tell you, is how we came to that conclusion.

C: Indeed, so how did you know?

Sona: We sent some spies to do some scouting on the base for this operation. They managed to infiltrate the base, and that's when we found this.

*She shows a layout of the base on a projector. She zooms in until she shows a giant room with a large building in the center of the area.*

Zach: Whoa!

Major General Kabuto: This is the core of the Radeon base. For all intents and purposes, we'll call it the base core.

Kira: What is that building?

Sona: We're not sure, but from what we've gathered, we think they were conducting some sort of "experimentation" there.

Sonjo: Experiments?

Sona: Yes. We believe this base is tied to the Norahs incident, back when the Principality was working on "Project VP".

Jin: "Project VP"?

Major General Kabuto: That's the name we gave for when the Principality began looking into the Void Perception ability.

Roux: Wait, you mean to tell me that you knew about what they were doing? And you didn't think to stop them?

Major General Kabuto: At that point in time, we didn't have the resources or the manpower to deal with that. We were busy trying to rebuild our forces so that we could have a fighting chance. Most of our men had already been killed by that point, and most of our resources were going into building the Blitzwing.

Sona: That's right. The ship you all stay on is the result of all that effort. It's the best and only thing we've had going for us up until recently.

Alex: Is there anything else that we need to know?

Major General Kabuto: Yes, but I will let Capt. Maeko inform you all on what needs to be done.

Jin: You're not going with us?

Major General Kabuto: No, I am needed here. I have more plans to come up with and other things to attend to.

Roux: Hmph, all I hear are excuses.

Capt. Maeko: That's enough Roux.

Skia': For once, I actually agree with Roux.

Capt. Maeko: I said that's enough!

Major General Kabuto: You are all dismissed. If you have any questions, let me know. You all are to leave tomorrow during the day. I will inform you of when it is time for you to leave. Rest up for now.

*They all leave the meeting and go about the rest of their day doing different things. Time goes on, and now the ambience of the night has taken over. We see Jin overlooking Oasis from a high vantage point.* (Play The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 2 Episode 9 OST - Sun Rong's Confession on loop)

Roux: Can't sleep?

Jin: Yeah, and you?

Roux: Me either. *She walks beside him and looks at Oasis* It seems so far away from here.

Jin: Yeah, finally a place we can come back to.

Roux: You really believe that?

Jin: Honestly I'm not sure, but I want it to be true.

Roux: So tell me, what's keeping you awake?

Jin: I had some stuff on my mind, I wanted to clear my head.

Roux: Do you want to talk about it?

Jin: Are you going to listen?

Roux: Only if you're not boring.

Jin: *Sigh* Well, at least you were being honest… Anywho, I was just thinking about everything that's happened so far. We're all unwilling participants in a war that has nothing to do with us. We were all living our own lives, and now we're fighting for people who at least in my case, don't deserve it.

Roux: Yeah. We've been done wrong by so many people, even some outside of the Principality would wish to see us fail.

Jin: Sometimes I wonder why I even care. I wonder if even my own reasons for doing this are enough.

Roux: What are your reasons for doing so Jin? What is the one thing that keeps you going?

Jin: I just want people to be able to live life the way they want. I want to make others happy, for them to be safe.

Roux: Those sound like good reasons to keep going to me. Why would you even question that?

Jin: I mean, I'm fighting to protect the same people who treated me and my friends as outcasts.

Roux: That's fair, I know how you feel.

Jin: You were treated as an outcast too?

Roux: Maybe not to the degree that you and your friends were, but I do understand the feeling. My parents weren't exactly as accepting of me as they were of Fadra.

Jin: How come?

Roux: The same reason most people usually don't accept anyone who is different, pure ignorance. I wasn't born into the family like Fadra was. You could say to them I wasn't even really family.

Jin: That's terrible, I'm sorry they treated you like that.

Roux: Why are you sorry? I'm not. They taught me how to be independent. I don't need anyone for anything, I can take care of myself. My sole purpose in life is to look after the one person who I do consider to be family.

Jin: Fadra?

Roux: How did you know?

Jin: I noticed the bracelets you two were wearing, they both look the same. I figured you two had to be somewhat close, especially if you kept wearing it.

Roux: That's right. Fadra was the only person in my world that was kind to me. She treated me with kindness and respect, where our parents did not. She would protect me from their beatings, both mental and physical.

Jin: But Fadra is so quiet and reserved, it's so hard to think she would do all that.

Roux: She only appears that way because she doesn't want to annoy anyone. She feels she talks too much, and she often doesn't know what to say in conversations. If you want to get her talking, try talking about manga. She's got a huge liking for manga and anything like it.

Jin: Manga huh? I'll have to give it a try… if I make it out alive from this next mission that is.

Roux: You don't trust that you will?

Jin: I believe in myself and everyone else, but nothing is guaranteed.

Roux: Hmm you have a point there. Well, it's getting late, we should head back.

Jin: Yeah, thanks for talking with me Roux.

Roux: Well, this conversation didn't turn out to be a complete waste of time. It was my pleasure Jin.
