23. Anastasya

The little girl was still trying to defend herself from getting scratched by the werewolves. Because she knows that if she gets hit by her claws, she will change like them or die and eaten. She was sure that the people up there would help her.

Sergei finally got down from the top of the tree. He was standing right beside the little girl. She looked at him with a sharp gaze. However, the little girl was not afraid of him.

"What is your name?" asked Sergei to the little girl.

"Anastasya," She replied briefly with a breathless breath.

Sergei immediately took off the belt, and it turned into a sword. The sword was made of silver so that it would tire the werewolves.

"Don't you have another weapon for me?" Anastasya asked Sergei.

"You want to be evil against them? Are you able to beat them all with this sword?" said Sergei coldly.

Anastasya felt an aura that was very different from the people she had met. In his mind said that man was no ordinary man.

She wanted to ask Sergei about that, but she saw that the werewolves could not pounce. Anastasya did not want to let the werewolves kill her.

"Give me the weapon that fits me! I do not want to die or become like them!" Anastasya said in a stern tone.

Sergei smiled faintly. He took out a small sword that was not too heavy. Anastasya can attack werewolves with that small sword.

Anastasya took the small sword she began to move it. She smiled because the blades were very light and fit her well.

This time, Anastasya would not lose to that ferocious werewolf. She will repay every sadness and pain she has received.

She had an enormous grudge against werewolves. Because her father, whom she loved so much, was torn apart by the werewolves and ate his body. And all that remains are the bones.

"I, Anastasya, will finish off every werewolf who dares to appear in front of me!" She said as she ran to attack one of the werewolves that could be seen clearly by her two eyes.

Its movements were so fast that werewolves could not easily catch it. Anastasya will not let the werewolves who have become her targets escape.

Because what has become her target will not easily be separated from her. The small sword hit the werewolf body that Anastasya attacked.

Came a roar of pain from the werewolves. Anastasya's small sword cut him. The werewolf stepped back with gore on his body.

"Your opponent is me!" said Sergei in a cold tone and radiated a murderous aura.

The two werewolves immediately attacked Sergei with all their might. Because they know what they are facing this time is a strong vampire.

Claw after scratch, they shot Sergei but easily dodged it. They did not give Sergei a chance to attack.

One of the wolves howled for help from another werewolf in the deep forest. Sergei realized that he quickly killed the werewolf. So that his head fell off his body because Sergei cut him off.

Slowly his head fell onto the snowy ground. Fresh blood began to pool on the snow.

The other two werewolves were about to run away, seeing his friend die. However, Sergei and Anastasya did not let them escape just like that.

"Can you run fast?" asked Sergei to Anastasya.

"You underestimated me!" said Anastasya as she continued to run after her target.

The werewolf injured by Anastasya's sword strike could not move quickly because the little sword was made of silver and also smeared with poison.

The werewolves' footsteps began to slow down. Anastasya was already near him. She smiled as the situation turned around now. The target was the werewolf who wanted to kill her in the first place.

While Anastasya was staring at her target, Sergei continued to chase the werewolves trying to run away from him. He grinned at the sight of his prey.

"You can't run from me!" said Sergei as he sprinted and slashed the werewolf's legs.

There was a howl of pain from the werewolf, and he felt excruciating pain. So heard it to a place where other wolves were tracing the forest.

"Keep shouting—call your friend! Because soon you will die!" said Sergei as he slashed the werewolf's hands.

Once again, there was a howl of excruciating pain. At the same time, he asked for an immediate death because the torment was so painful.

Sergei closed his eyes, enjoying every howl that conveyed despair. He opened his eyes again then explained the werewolf's head. Not only did Sergei's head begin to cut parts of his body casually.

Anastasya saw what Sergei was doing. For some reason, she didn't feel scared by what he had seen. Instead, she intended to follow that fierce man.

"You're not afraid of me?" asked Sergei after realizing that Anastasya was looking at him, who was cutting the body of a werewolf.

"Not. I'm not afraid of you ... allow me to come with you wherever you go," Anastasya said without any hesitation.

"Don't you still have a mother? Come back to her," continued Sergei, who was testing Anastasya.

Anastasya was silent, and she again remembered her stepmother, who always beat her. If she made a mistake, then the punishment for her was a beating and a whole day without food.

"She's not my mother. You don't need to worry because she won't be sad if I don't come back," explained Anastasya to him.

Sergei walked over, and he wanted to know if the little girl would be popular if he showed her who she is. He squatted right in front of Anastasya then showed his dark side with his two very sharp fangs.

"Aren't you afraid of me?" Sergei asked her again.

"Are you a vampire? My father once told me about your kind. However, I am not afraid of you," He replied.

"Interesting. Go back to your house first—in three days I will serve someone to pick you up!" Sergei ordered Anastasya.

Anastasya nodded, and she handed a small sword to Sergei. Although in her heart, she didn't want to let go of the blade.

Sergei could read what was on Anastasia's mind. He smiled then said, "Save the sword — from now on it will be yours."

"Really?" Anastasya asked with a smile and wanted to reconfirm what she had heard.

"Yes. The sword is for you — use it to kill the werewolves that appear before you!" replied Sergei firmly.
