Anastasya ran to his house. She did not want the other werewolves to chase her because she had killed the werewolves about to attack her earlier. She did not realize that someone was waiting in anger at home.
"Where have you been?!" shrieked a woman to Anastasya.
The woman looked angry, and she did not shake it when Anastasya left without her permission. She walked over and grabbed the little girl's hair.
"I'm asking you. Where are you from? Am I not punishing you?" The woman asked again by pulling Anastasya's hair.
Anastasya was silent because she did not want to talk about what had happened, even though her hands were wet with werewolf blood.
The woman saw two hands Anastasya covered in blood. She smiled faintly, in his mind saying that this little girl had killed someone.
Whose blood is this? Have you killed people?" The woman asked.
She wanted to know what Anastasya had done because her hands were covered in blood. In her mind that the little girl had made a tantrum and ended up killing people.
"If I say you will not believe it," replied Anastasya softly.
"Say it!" shrieked the woman.
"I killed a werewolf," replied Anastasya while looking at her hands which were still covered in blood.
The woman chuckled. She could not believe what the little girl was saying. Because she never met a werewolf. According to her, all of these are myths and only the delusions of stupid humans.
"You think I'm stupid? Tell me the truth. Who did you kill?" The woman spoke again right beside Anastasya's ear.
Anastasya says the same thing that he has killed a werewolf. However, the woman was still in disbelief and pushed her body into the darkroom and locked it.
The woman was still laughing at what Anastasya said. She thought that the little girl had gone mad just like her dead father.
She does not know what caused her husband's death. All she knows is that the husband died under the snow, and his body could not found.
The only one who knows the truth is Anastasya. She knows that a werewolf has killed her father. She kept yelling at everyone about it but, no one believed her.
So that Anastasya decided to remain silent, she chose to learn all the martial arts taught by his father. Without the knowledge of her stepmother because if she found out by her stepmother, she would punish her.
Anastasya just stayed in a dark room. She had been put in there many times so that he doesn't feel afraid of the dark.
In there, she again remembered her meeting with the vampire. She smiled because her father never told her lies.
"I will follow him," said Anastasya as he closed her eyes.
After closing her eyes, there was a flashback of when her father was still with her. The father always smiled warmly at her.
"Honey, you have to be strong and keep practicing. Because all of that can protect you from werewolves," said the father while touching Anastasya's head.
"Fine, Father. I'll do that," She replied with a sweet smile.
The father also told her that in this world, there are not only humans. There were werewolves and also vampires. They were both enemies from the past until now.
"Vampire? Is he cruel? " Anastasya asked the father.
"Vampires are almost the same as werewolves as cruel as they kill humans without mercy," replied the father.
Anastasya was confused by her father's answer. Because vampires and werewolves are enemies, but they are both cruel.
The father smiled and invited her to return to training. He wanted Anastasya to protect himself because, in this place, there were so many dangers lurking.
He couldn't always stay by his daughter's side either, so he decided to train her in martial arts. The father also feels worried because his wife is always rude to his daughter.
"Honey, you have to remember that Father will always take care of you even though you are not there," The father ordered Anastasya.
Anastasya saw her father smiling and walked away, leaving her. She screamed for the father, but the father disappeared.
"It's just a dream," muttered Anastasya and opened her eyes.
She saw sunlight penetrating the room. It indicates that it is noon, and soon the stepmother will open the door.
Sure enough, what she thought, she heard the sound of an open lock. Slowly the door to the room opened. She saw the stepmother, who was ready to leave.
"You stay home and tidy things up. I want everything tidy when I get back!" said the woman in a commanding tone.
The woman walked out of the house, and she didn't care about Anastasya. She didn't prepare any food for the little girl at all.
Anastasya left then walked out of the room. The rooms were very cramped and dark when night fell.
She saw the state of the house is very messy, with so many cigarette remains scattered on the floor. Empty drink bottles were scattered everywhere, dirty plates still on the table.
Every day all she has to do is tidy up all of this. In addition, she has to wash the stepmother's clothes as well as her clothes.
Without saying much, he did everything, even though the hunger was so great. However, she had to finish everything before the stepmother returned. After all, was done she was looking for something to eat.
She thought back to what Sergei had said, who would pick her up after three days. Anastasya will be patient for a few more days, after which she will go away from the same di keeping house.
Although she remembered her father's message that a vampire was the same as a werewolf, however, she felt different from the vampire who had saved her from the werewolves last night.
Anastasya walked to her room, and she saw that all the contents in the room were messy. She frowned, not understanding what her stepmother had done.
She saw a photo that was still stored on the nightstand. The photo is a photo of her parents, who are dead. She takes it and hugs her tightly.
"I will live a better life! And I'll take you wherever I go," He muttered while holding a photo of her parents.
It was late afternoon, and she heard the sound of footsteps. It looks like the stepmother has arrived and is not alone because she listened to a male voice laughing.
Anastasya immediately locked the door of her room and closed her ears. She didn't want to go out to see what her stepmother was up to and didn't want to hear what they were up to.
