Chapter 3: Set troubles 1

It turns out that the job Alexia has currently was a variety show of sorts. Logically there should be less need for the presence of an agent or assistant in this kind of activity as most things are pre-scripted and all are planned in advance except for some pleasant incidents. But with Alexia's character and temper, it kind of made sense that she called someone to accompany her.

Alexia is not the most popular artist of the year and she has no notable connections to kick-start her career. Her few gigs during college are a little mixed in results too, resulting in some popularity and infamy courtesy to those who do not find her pleasing to the eyes.

In addition to that, Alexia is a very prideful person. She refuses to do things that go against her conscience and principles. Thus making her not the best artist with the good relation in the circle. Which is not a surprise at all for her upbringing completely never allowed her to be wronged in any way. Stubborness is deep in her bones that even in the flexible nature her chosen career requires is not easy to adapt at all.

Fortunately Alexia has real skills to back up her arrogance. Although not the best, it was enough capital compared to most. Not to mention her family is backing her up even if they outwardly disapprove of her choice of career.

"Are you sure this is the place?" Cassandra asked as she saw the desolate studio.

They are currently in a well-known studio under the banner of FC Entertainment. Worthy for its reputation it has excellent equipment, staff and location. Although it looked desolate at the moment, the work of the regular employees were not disturbed at all for some reason.

"Yes I am sure it is this place." Alexia confirmed going as far as showing the information sent to her.

"Are we too early or something?" Cassandra asked as she is a little suspicious of what is happening here.

"Maybe? Wait for a while, I'll contact someone." Alexia said as she searched for the saved number of the staff who talked with her about this show.

Taking advantage of Alexia getting busy, Cassandra took advantage of it and gestured that she'll be in the Comfort Room. Which was responded with a thumbs up before she left.

The studio is a big place and Cassandra thought she might get lost in here. Thankfully there were some friendly staff that told her where the CR was when she asked them. If she took her time to manually look for it, she might take the whole morning to get there.

Wiping her hand with a towel as she was getting out of the CR, she collided with someone unexpectedly. Whoever it was really has some hard muscles that her nose was stinging from the impact. If she let her temper get the best of her, she might have started cursing in her old tongue. But the in-grained manners of her past life has greatly restrained her from doing so. Because it is rude to be one and her etiquette teacher will probably have a heart attack if she did that.

"Sorry about that." The man said as he saw Cassandra smoothing her nose in pain. "I wasn't looking in the way."

Cassandra only motioned the guy it was okay and returned to the CR without looking at whoever the person was. The first thing she did when she returned to the CR was to see if there was some bleeding. Thankfully there was none, though her little nose is reddish from the collision.

To others it might sound and seem that Cassandra is being over dramatic of her actions. But since she began receiving the previous Cassandra's life history, her worries are justified.

The previous Casssandra before she came around was prone to various injuries growing up. A slight bump has caused her to fall from the stairs or collide with something, she often gets hit by stray balls or things, and her body is weak in so many ways. Therefore visiting a hospital is quite a normal thing to her.

Although the current Cassandra did not experience these events, it seems that she also has this inherent luck with injuries. Just a casual day and she will either bump into something at least once. Maybe this was the reason why her current parents are so indulgent and protective of her, because just raising this daughter they are always on the verge of a heart attack.

"Thankfully no bleeding this time." Cassandra said as she once again looked carefully at her image in the mirror. As she was making sure that nothing was out of place, her phone rang.

"Cassy! They are on the other side of the studio." Alexia said as soon as her call was picked up. "Seems that there was an error on the address they sent to me. And before you get suspicious, I am not the only one who got the wrong info."

"I see, are you still where I left you?" Cassandra asked as she prepared to go back now.

"Yes I am waiting for you to come back." Alexia replied as Cassandra picked up some sounds in the background of the other. "Are you almost done there?"

"Yes I am on the way now." Cassandra said as she strained her ears on the background noise. She is having a bad feeling all of a sudden. "I want you to meet me halfway."

"But why?"

"Just don't ask and get out there as soon as possible." Cassandra commanded. Out of habit from her past life where she is in charge of a whole manor, she naturally had some authority in her voice. And Alexia knew better that her friend only becomes like this if there is something important going on.

"Okay. Where do we meet?"

"I am now near the elevators at the left side of the studio. Let's just meet there so we can easily find each other." Cassandra only heard Alexia's agreement on the other side before their call was cut off.

Out of haste, Cassandra walked fast as she could, hoping that Alexia was not in trouble before she arrived.

But that little hope is just too extravagant it seems. Alexia is already in a heated argument with a little star whom Cassandra didn't even know of. And in her own view, Alexia really did her best to get to the meeting place without provoking this newcomer unreasonably. Her friend is after all the type not to provoke others unless they started it.

"...what the fuck is wrong with you?! Can't you see I am in a hurry here?" Alexia is losing her patience now.

"Just because you're a senior of mine does not mean you can ignore me just like that! You're not even that famous to be so high and aloof to those like me!" The little star said angrily.

"Which of your two eyes see that I ignored you? I replied as politely as I could and even explicitly said that I was in a hurry. Accusing me of lacking in manners when the truth was that you are making your own drama here." Alexia is no longer in the mood to continue arguing with this small minded star. She left the other as fast as she could with her face dark as a pot.

"Alexia." Cassandra called the other as she was close enough to her.

"Cassy!" Alexia said as she went for a hug to her friend. "I should have listened to you and just came here as fast as I could."

"It's okay." Cassandra rubbed Alexia back in comfort before breaking the hug. "It's okay. You did your best. I saw it and many people also did. If some bad news comes from this, I will take care of it. Let's go to the set now okay?"

Alexia nodded and followed Cassandra numbly to the set. Alexia has already sent the correct location to Cassandra a while ago, so all she needs to do is ask the friendly staff where this place was. Thankfully everyone was still in preparation for the actual shooting and some guests were still not around when they arrived.

Greeting some familiar faces(sisters and brothers with whom Cassandra has good relations from the times she accompanied Alexia), Cassandra left Alexia in their hands. Telling her now low mood Alexia, she will be taking some precautions about this incident. Which Alexia only gratefully nodded at and focused on her craft as Cassandra advised her to.

Taking out her phone after she made a distance away from the set, Cassandra called Alexia's agent to prepare a PR for any gossip about the incident. Being informed the agent was thankful and asked her to take care of her artist there as she will wrap things up on her side. Probably doing some research on the starlet to make them taste their own medicine.

Putting down the telephone, Cassandra then went to the security area to ask for a copy of the security footage before anyone would do some magic on it. Because no matter how far-reaching that starlet might be, it is impossible for them to take care of it in a short time. Other than that, things in RC entertainment are quite well regulated so it is hard for others to get something like this easily.

Well for normal people the least.

And Cassandra is anything but normal.
