Chapter 19 - Poor guy

Now that it was getting darker, Lin Xiao Yi felt like crying because not a single restaurant was willing to accept her. She had been around and entered almost all the famous restaurants in the city of Hangzhou. But to no avail, even several times she was forcibly evicted.

Xiao Yi then walked aimlessly and without any purpose on a fairly quiet street because she didn't want to go home yet. There was only the sound of the crickets shouting to each other and the sound of the wind waving.

Lin Xiao Yi stepped her foot while kicking a canned drink that made a sound that was quite echoing. Her head was bent with her arms crossed to tighten her sweater because the air felt quite piercing through her skin.

"Where else should I find a job?" Xiao Yi said in a sad tone. Her eyes had started to water but Xiao Yi immediately wiped the corners of her eyes. Not getting a job didn't mean the world collapsed.

The current Xiao Yi was not the old Xiao Yi. In the past she was always weak and oppressed. She herself will not live miserable life like before.

Xiao Yi's reverie immediately shattered when suddenly there was a very dazzling light from the opposite direction. There was a crowd of motorbikes that came with quite a loud sound rushing towards Xiao Yi as if they were being chased. Luckily Xiao Yi immediately stepped aside so that she didn't get hit by them. If she stepped aside a little late, she might have died.

"You no brain!" Xiao Yi cursed aloud when the motorbikes passed her.

The condition of the road that had been very quiet has now turned into a racing venue. Apparently the same bunch of motorbikes were chasing a Ducati rider who was already driving ahead of them.

Xiao Yi couldn't see their faces clearly because they were covered by helmets. Only Ducati rider who did not wear helmets. So that Xiao Yi vaguely could still see his face. When viewed from a distance, it seemed like they were still in their teens.

A group of Kawasaki motorbikes cornered the Ducati motorbike riders in front of them until they were forced to stop because they had been successfully surrounded.

"Where are you running to? New kid but acting arrogant and looking for trouble!" one of the Kawasaki riders said, who was wearing a red shirt.

The cornered Ducati rider had to get off his motorbike. He was just silent with his eyes staring at them because he was surrounded. There were ten people who surrounded him, so it was very difficult to escape.

Lin Xiao Yi stepped closer to them. She hadn't even arrived yet, a fight had broken out. A group of Kawasaki llantas riders attacked the Ducati rider alone. They hit alternately at the cornered prey. Even if the Ducati riders fight it was impossible to win. What was there instead becomes their tantrum.

"Hey you guys, don't you dare to fight. You cowards!" Xiao Yi shouted to divert them from the Ducati riders who were already lying on the road.

The group of male attackers turned their heads towards Xiao Yi with clenched fists. Even though it was dim, Xiao Yi could tell if they also seemed to be the same age as a Ducati rider.

"Don't interfere in our business!" one of them shouted who sounded angry because he was annoyed by Xiao Yi's arrival.

Xiao Yi let out a long sigh. Trying to reduce her fear because she had not practiced martial arts for a long time. Hopefully they were just runny teenagers who were not experts in martial arts. Didn't let her intention to help become a victim.

"Is it appropriate for you to gang up on someone who is alone?" Xiao Yi sneered fiercely as she surveyed the faces between them one by one.

"We don't care. He should be taught a lesson because he messed up with one of our members," a teenager wearing a red shirt with fire said.

"Don't mind that woman because it's a waste of time."

Xiao Yi didn't seem to have succeeded in distracting them until the Ducati riders who were already sitting on the asphalt were again beaten by them.

Xiao Yi then ran then kicked one of them until he fell to the asphalt. With her decent martial arts skills, Xiao Yi managed to knock several people down using her legs and arms.

That girl can even fend off opponents with her arms. Grateful that what she learned some time ago was quite useful.

"We'd better get out of here," one of them said, whose corners of his lips were bleeding.

The group of teenagers looked terrified by the look in Xiao Yi's fiery eyes. They seemed to be seeing a female ghost.

"Next time we will make a calculation with you," the teenager in red threatened, stuttered at Xiao Yi as his leg hurt after being kicked by Xiao Yi.

"I will be happy to serve you," Xiao Yi said while putting her hands on her hips and smiling lopsidedly. She could breathe easy because she managed to make them gave up. Hopefully they didn't repeat that bad deed to anyone.

Xiao Yi continued to observe as they started to ride the motorbike and slowly left the deserted road. Now the atmosphere was back to normal which felt very quiet. The noise had vanished as the wind was blowing quite hard.

"Are you okay?" Xiao Yi crouched down to see the state of the young man lying on the asphalt. The bruises were clearly visible on his face.

"What are you helping me for? Should have just let me die," the teenager said sarcastically.

Xiao Yi only sighed heavily as she rubbed her chest. It was quite annoying, because she was tired enough to fight but not appreciated.

"If you want to die later, after I help you, I won't feel guilty," Xiao Yi said, who immediately helped him up.

"Can you still sit down?" Xiao Yi continued.

"I'm not that weak," he said curtly. Made Xiao Yi wanted to hit his head.

"If you can survive, we'll go home using your motorcycle,"  Xiao Yi said. Seeing a motor sport that seemed like the price was quite in the pocket, it was impossible to let it sit there.
