Vivian Eastwood

The snow was gone and all of the previous challenges are back Everyone went back to the lounge. Jay wanted nothing to do with Aphrodite, no matter how many times she tried to apologize. Julia explained what they had to do next.

"I have gotten news that the sorceress is coping with her daughter's death-" Julia started.

"Wait... Jay, you killed the snow queen!?" Eliza asked.

"Yeah... I kinda had to," He responded.

"And you are one flower away from completing the spell, we are going to get that flower, Vivian was my dear sister, she was murdered by the sorceress when she came to scout out the forest. There are five items that she loved. She loved emeralds, that would be found in the phantom tombs. A frozen sapling, found in the snow queen lair. A shooting star in the questing ram pen. An apple found in the minotaur maze. And lastly a ghast tear in the mother ghast dueling grounds. Take your pick on which one you want to find," Julia said.

"I can't go into the tombs or the lair, so whichever one minus those two," Jay said.

"Ok... I want the tombs, I've been there before so I know the layout of them," Moira explained.

"Alrighty then, I'll take the ice lair," Eliza said.

"I'll take the ram pens," Indah stated.

"I'll take the dueling grounds then, I miss the mother ghast," Jay said.

"Meaning Aphrodite... you get the minotaur maze," Julia said.

"That's fine... I'm good with mazes anyway," She responded.

"We know... you've said it like a thousand times," Jay said annoyed.

Moira's POV: I went to the tombs, I placed my hand on Aria's tube wishing she would be able to come back. The note on Indah's tube read: The emerald is on the third level of the tomb, it would be in the chest at the very end of the hall, but to open the chest you need to find the key on the bridge, across the lava moat. Right there is a lava moat, I went down to the third level and saw the chest, I was stepping carefully across the bridge looking for the key, I didn't want to fall and become a roast chicken. I then saw the key. I picked it up and ran back to the chest, I put the key in twisted it and it opened. Inside it was a smaller chest meaning I had to find another damn key. I ran across the bridge and one of the planks broke and fell into the moat. I dug through the mound of dirt on the platform and scoop after scoop until I finally found the key. I went back to the chests pulled out the smaller one and put the key in and twisted... luckily that was the last chest and the emerald was inside. I went back to the lounge and surprisingly Aph wasn't there but Jay and Indah were.

Eliza's POV: I went to the ice lair, and read the note. It said: Find three iceblocks in the halls they have the keys to the chests in the walls, but only one of the chests has the sapling. I walked over to Thiago's ice statue and placed my hand on his arm.

"I'm sorry... it's my fault you are in this place, I shouldn't have listened to Aph," I said as if he would hear me in his frozen state. I then noticed an iceblock was resting on his arm, I picked it up and smashed it, I picked up the key and put it in my pocket, I wandered the halls and found another iceblock in the wall, I punched it. Somehow it broke, I grabbed the key inside it and put it in my pocket with the other one. I found the last key in a minute, I grabbed the block and threw it at the ground, the key popped out and I picked it up and went to the entrance. I pulled out the three chests and put the keys inside them and opened them all, the middle one had the sapling, I grabbed it and went back to the lounge. Jay and Moira were there talking. "Sorry Jay... I know Thiago was your friend, I shouldn't have listened to Aph."

"It's fine... I can accept your apology I can't accept Aph's," He responded.

Jay's POV: I went up to the dueling grounds mostly because I wanted Aph to get confused by the secrets in the maze and I also wanted to see the mother ghast again. I climbed the mountain and was greeted by the mother ghast almost immediately.

"Jay! You are back!" She called. "Where are your friends?"

"They are getting some things... I need one of your tears," I called back.

"Oh... well the best way for you to make me cry is with tears of joy," She said.

"Uhm well, I missed you... and I wish you could help us with escaping the forest," I responded.

"Oh, dear... I used to be a member of the society against evil, until the sorceress cast a spell on me, making me something I never wanted to be, I never wanted to watch people die in my challenges," The mother ghast said, starting to tear up.

"What can I call you, other than mother ghast?" I asked. A tear fell from her face, I caught it.

"Andrea... that was my name before now."

"Well then... Andrea, I will miss you when I have to go, you will always be part of me, and you will always be my friend... no matter what," I said as I left the dueling grounds for the last time.

"Goodbye, dear!" I heard Andrea call as I climbed back down to the lounge, I was somehow the first one done with my chore, after a minute Indah walked in. Followed by Moira a little while later.

Indah's POV: I went over to the ram pens after asking Jay where it was, the anvil was sitting on the ground from Odettes death, I felt so bad for her when Jay came back... but Jay has contributed more than enough to our group. I saw a note, I grabbed it. It read: To begin your hunt, grab a shovel behind you the crate is buried, it holds a chest that has the shooting star. However, the key is at the bottom of the pond, submerged in the sand, weighted by rocks, it may be a challenge to get it out, but it will be worth it. I immediately grabbed a shovel and started digging, this crate had to be buried really deep because I dug everywhere in the pens, it took me a while. I then realized it might be by the execution box. I walked over to Odettes death bed and dug behind it, and like I had thought it was there I pulled the crate out and placed the trunk next to the pen gates. I jumped into the pond and felt around in the sand at the bottom, I felt the key... the weights were really heavy! I had to move the sand away from the rocks so that I could get the key free, I did end up getting the key, but it took forever, I went over to the trunk and put the key in. Luckily it popped open I grabbed the star and went back to the lounge, Jay was already there with the tear... like I said contributed enough.

Aphrodite's POV: I went to the minotaur maze, I picked up the paper at the start of the maze, it read: This maze is full of puzzles and secrets, the apple is on the tree in the middle of the maze. But to get to that tree you have to traverse over many things, and you will need to find a key under the surface. Once I finished reading it, I took a left then a right then I went through a painting, then into a trapdoor to search for the key that I needed for the door. I took down a lantern on the wall and chucked it at the ground... no luck, I then realized on the left wall there was a puzzle, a memory puzzle, I had to touch the button and it would flash colors, I then had to memorize them and go to the right side of the room and press the colored buttons in the order that the other button showed. I pressed it and it flashed, red then blue then green then purple. I ran over to the wall and pressed red, blue, green, and purple. I had to do the memory game two more times, I pressed the button once again, and it flashed, green, orange, yellow, blue, red. I ran back over to the button wall and pressed green, orange, yellow, red then blue. and I got it wrong so I had to do it again. After I finally got it right I pressed the button on the podium and then it flashed all colors of the rainbow. Red, blue, red, orange, purple, green, yellow, orange. I ran over to the wall pressed them in the right order and then a podium rose from the middle of the ground and presented me with a key. I grabbed it and got out of that area, it then took me about three minutes to get to the apple tree. Once I arrived I put the key in and the door opened. I saw the apple, climbed the tree, and picked it. I then navigated my way through the maze and went back to the lounge... when I walked in I realized they were waiting for me to get done with the maze.

"Took you long enough," Jay said.

No POV: Once everyone got the items it was time to complete the seance.

"We will go outside to complete it," Julia explained. They all followed her outside and sat on an empty spot on the ground. "Everyone place the items you collected in front of you." Everyone sat down their items and then Julia handed Moira the invocation. "Please read it aloud."

"Vivian Eastwood, you who lived yesterday, hear these words, hear our cry. We seek your guidance on finding an ancient flower, cross now the great divide, and show yourself here," Moira read. The items started floating in the air, the star was spinning, the sapling was sprouting roots, the apple was disappearing, the tear was slowly melting, and the emerald became two and floated to the middle. Then Vivian's spirit came to the forest.

"I am here. My name is Vivian Eastwood. I was murdered for just scouting this forest, and buried in a coffin bound with an iron chain. My life was taken, in order to hide the flower from the living. To retrieve it you must find my coffin, exhume it from the earth, and release me. You must also find the key to unlock the chain that seals it. Take the road behind the ram pens to find my coffin, the key should be across the wooden bridge. Hurry, release me from this hell!" She said. after she completed speaking she vanished. The star shattered, and the sapling died.

"Ok... so we need to find this coffin and its key?" Indah asked.

"I guess so," Eliza said.

"Ight... then let's split into two groups, one goes to find the coffin, and the other finds the key... imma make one thing clear... I'm not going with Aph," Jay said.

"Eliza, you and Jay wanna come with me?" Moira asked.

"Sure," Both Jay and Eliza said.

"Meaning, Indah you and I are going to find this key," Aph said.

Eliza's POV: Moira, Jay, and I went to the ram pens, to find Vivian's coffin.

"Alright... here are the pens meaning the road behind it should lead us to her coffin," Jay said. We went behind the pens and followed the path, across the river, and into the dark thicket. Moira spotted something in the closest tree.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It's some sort of note," She said. Moira then read it. "Take the string on the back of this note and tie one end around the statuette on the podium, to find the first half of the idol."

"Okay... right there is the statuette, hand me the string please Moira," I said. Moira handed me the string, and I tied it around the statuette, I handed Jay the end of the string and he went around the area and found the pile of dirt.

"I think it's here!" He said and he got down on his knees and started to shovel dirt with his hands. "I found something!"

"What is it?" Moira asked walking over.

"I don't know... but it needs a second-half... oh and there is an idol buried here too," Jay told her pulling the idol out of the ground. Jay handed me the note and I read it.

"The idol needs to be placed on a podium and the podium will spin, the coffin is buried in that direction." Moira noticed the podium farther into the forest, Jay ran over to it and placed the idol, the podium started spinning, and it was picking up speed as it spun, suddenly the podium stopped and the idol got launched off the podium and put a dent into the ground.

"I'm guessing that is where the coffin is," Moira said. We walked over to where the idol landed and Julia handed us some shovels and we started digging waiting for Indah and Aph to get the key.

Indah's POV: Aph and I went to the trophy room and we walked behind it to the wooden bridge we crossed it and I grabbed the note tacked to the tree and Aph ripped it out of my hand.

"Jeez... the hell was that for?" I asked annoyed.

"I wanted to read it," She said with a lot of sass. She then read the note. "The key is up the higher path, take a right at the fork and you will come across a piano, figure out the musical clue and the key should come out of the piano." I hate Aph... I now see why Jay hates her. We walked up the higher path and then after a bit, we came to the fork. "We go this way," She said pointing to the left road.

"No it said go right at the fork," I said.

"No... it said left," She responded.

"Then go left, I'm going to go right," I said and Aph went left, and I went right... and sure enough I came across the piano, there were eighty-eight keys on the piano, and there were eleven white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and black keys. I knocked on the lid of the piano and a little gnome came out.

"Hello... the color of my hat are evil keys, purple is good, and so is blue, white is great, and black is bad, Orange and Yellow are unaccounted for, and green is unlike any of them," It said. His hat color was red so I didn't touch red, orange, yellow, or black. I then found a music box and I turned the key in it, it played a song of some sort. I recognized the song I first did the purple to see if that worked, it didn't. I then tried white, didn't work either. I then tried green and the key popped out of the bottom of the piano, and as it popped out Aph came to the piano.

"I already figured it out... let's go," I told her. We walked back across the wooden bridge and to the questing ram pens, we went into the dark thicket and they were digging up that coffin. Julia handed Aph and me shovels and we helped them dig u the coffin.

No one's POV: Everyone was digging up the coffin when Jay's shovel hit the chain.

"I got it!" He yelled, Moira and Indah grabbed the chains with Jay and pulled the coffin up, Aph put the key in and they opened the coffin.

"There's nothing in there!?" Eliza said shocked.

"Wait... there is a note," Moira said picking up the note, she read it. "I can feel your presence near, there is one thing you need to do before I am free... one of you must be taken against your will and be buried alive."

"We have to kill someone?" Aph said in shock.

"Everyone... please discuss among yourselves, but this time I will only draw one name that person will be placed in the coffin and buried," Julia told everyone.

"Ight... it is time for this to happen, APH! You need to go!" Jay said

"It is now time to vote... Indah, you go first," Julia said. She walked up grabbed Aph's card and showed it to everyone.

"You deserve to die," She said.

"Moira." Moira walked up and picked up Aph's card and showed it to everyone too.

"It is time for you to leave," She said.

"Aphrodite." She walked up and choose Jay, but didn't show it. "Elizabeth, your next." She walked up and choose Aph showed the card to everyone.

"It was wrong to put me against Jay," Eliza told her.

"Jay." He walked up to Julia and picked up Aph's pile and held it like a hand fan. He showed everyone the fan.

"Sorry not sorry," Jay said like knives to Aphrodite's throat. "Choose one please," Jay said handing the fan to Julia, she picked an Aph card and put it on the top.

"Everyone has chosen who they want to die, I will now shuffle and draw one," Julia said. She shuffled the pile.

"It's basically me or Aph," Jay said. Julia picked the top card and turned it around.

"Aphrodite... you have been chosen to be buried alive," She said.

"NO, YOU GUYS!!" Aph screamed, she started running and then the sorceress came out from behind a tree and grabbed her.

"You will pay for my daughter's death!" She said and walked over to the coffin and put her in. "This is the only time I will help you." The sorceress slammed the coffin door on Aph.

"KARMA'S A BITCH APH!!" Jay yelled as everyone started burying the coffin, Aph was screaming at the top of her lungs. Then her voice stopped.

"Wait, do you guys hear that?" Moira asked.

"She stopped screaming," Indah said.

"Let's just hurry up... this is hurting my spirit," Eliza said.

"Not mine, I love this I wanted her gone from when she killed Aria," Jay said. A flower fell from a tree and landed on the coffin once it was completely buried. Moira picked it up.

"Ok... let's go," Moira said, everyone walked back to the lounge and walked into the trophy room, Aph's painting was in the middle of the trophy stands.

"At least we got all the flowers to complete the spell," Eliza said.

"Yeah, let's go place these flowers on the altar and do what we have to do," Jay said. Everyone walked to the altar under the lounge and placed the flowers, Jay placed the sunflower, Moira placed the black rose, and Eliza placed the tulip. Julia handed them the spellbook.

"Turn to page nine and read it aloud... if you did it right someone will respond to you, if you did it wrong nothing will happen and you will have to do it again," She said. Jay picked up the book and read the spell.

"We have the flowers three, the sun of which you need to see. The rose of red, to banish the evil within. The tulip of life, so you may survive. We seek help from the great unknown to resurrect our friend from the dead. The altar is one of many ways, we will be grateful for one to come back to the land of the living," He said and took Eliza's and Moira's hands and placed them on the altar along with his. After about five seconds a voice responded.

"Who do you wish... to bring back?" It asked.

"Jay... you choose, we know you will choose wisely," Moira said.

"We wish to bring back... Aria!" Jay said to the voice.

"Very well, she will be back very soon," It responded.
