'The rewards are really good , better than I expected. C-Rank attack skill from this sub quest is going to help me a lot to level up.'

I'd to complete the sub quest as fast as possible but for that I needed to kill monsters and I couldn't just go out of the palace at night so I thought of practicing one of the technique Garius told me about. The first step to become a swordmage was Mana Control but that technique was higher level technique for me so I couldn't just learn Mana Control.

Before learning Mana Control I'd to open up all the mana channel's , apparently the magic skills I used were not making use of my all mana channel's. The reason was simple I used the channels between my mana core and my hands to use magic skills like Fireball and legs for Haste.

Because of that I didn't open all the channels , so the first step for me was to open my channel's. I sat down on the ground near the tree and used Haste just to get my mana flowing. I didn't know how to directly use my mana without any skills so I'd to learn that from Garius tomorrow , I could feel the concentrated mana flowing towards my legs.

I then tried to move the concentrated mana from my legs to my hands , but I couldn't do that and was blasted away from the initial location. I was stopped by the tree behind me and some blood splattered from my mouth.

' Is it cause I tried to force open my mana channel? I must be using wring technique. Ugh , my legs are paining now.'

I tried to stand up but couldn't as my legs were still hurting from the recoil of trying to force open the channel. I used the tree as a support to stand up and tried to walk towards the exit of training ground. Their were 2 exits to the training ground one lead to out of the palace towards the garden and other lead to the palace.

Just as I reached halfway I heard a girl's voice

"Hey are you alright? What did you try to do? Why is the training ground destroyed?"

Destroyed? I looked around my surrounding and then understood what she said. The training ground was completely destroyed , not a single target could be seen. the ground around place where I was sitting was completely blown away creating a big hole. I couldn't see anything of it because I was desperately heading towards my room.

I looked at the girl holding me it was none other than Lecilia , she was wearing white pajamas her shining light orange hairs looked beautiful. Before I could say anything she asked a question.

"Hey , did you try to force open your mana channel?"

Without saying anything I nodded to her question. Seeing my answer she started examining my body while holding me , she was going to start from my face but I was wearing my mask which is why she started checking whether my hands and legs were alright. She looked at my knees and wore a shocked expression , without wasting time she hurriedly placed her hand on my back and I felt a tingly and warm feeling in my back.

'This is bad force opening a mana channel can lead to paralysis and sometimes death , but luckily his knees are still somehow holding on.'

I sat him down on the ground and placed my hand on his back , I used Mana Control to flow my mana through his body. Surprisingly his body readily accepted my body , all his channel's except his core to legs and core to hands were closed which made it hard for me to get in.

I somehow got near his core , I could feel the darkness in his core.

'He is most probably going to be dark attribute.'

I further tried to see if the mana core was affect by his attempt but luckily their was not a scratch on it. I then pushed my mana towards the site of disaster , his knees. The mana channel was almost destroyed , I used my mana to push the channel heal the cracks.

The mana channel's were supposed to be open from core to the channel it looked like Excess went from his legs to channel which was like opening the door from the wrong side. This lead to forming crack's in his channel , after spending 15 minutes of healing and pushing the mana channel I was able to open the channel using my mana.

'Huff Huff Huff'

It took more than half of my mana to open his channel , because of that I was pretty tired and laid back on the wall behind me. I took a look at him and he was looking at something in the air , even though he wore a mask I could see his eyes he was desperately hiding and for some reason it pained my heart.

'I finally feel better now.'

The tingly and warm feeling disappeared as my mana channel opened , I could feel the peaceful mana flowing through it. It was as if I grew two new legs , I tried to move my legs and it felt like it was my first time moving my legs. Before I could get up I saw a notification pop up before me.

「 Left Knee Mana Channel has been opened 」

「 All stats will be increased by 1 」

「 Right Knee Mana Channel has been opened 」

「 All stats will be increased by 1 」

I kind of expected this to happen but I thought it would just increase my Intelligence but instead it increased all of my stats. Seeing the result I quickly turned to see Lecilia and asked ,

"How many mana channel's are present in a human body?"

I could see that she was tired from using all her mana but I'd to ask this question right now.

"Huh!? This is what you're asking me right now shouldn't you apologize for the damage you've-"

I interrupted her and said ,

"Ok ok I'm sorry , now tell me fast how many are present."

Seeing how serious I was while asking the question she finally answered.

"There are total of 69 mana channel's present in human body all are connected to the core and are powered by it. The one you could've destroyed right now was a major channel which would've left your half body paralyzed. You understand now?"

'Oh 69 quite a coincidence , anyways 67 are remaining this will help me progress faster. But I still haven't learned the technique to do it alone , I guessI've to ask for Garius or Lecilia's help to open all my mana channel's.'

I got up and looked at Lecilia who was sitting down on the ground leaning on the wall , while seeing her a question rose in my mind.

"Why were you here at this time?"

"Isn't it obvious , I heard a loud sound and came running here. Now that I think about it why was I the only one who ran here?"

I looked around my surrounding to see if anyone came hearing the loud sound. I turned my gaze on the first floor where I my room was located.

'Did I just see someone?'

After looking for few seconds I couldn't find anyone and finally gave up. I tried to bend down to pick up tired Lecilia but couldn't as I couldn't properly control my knees.

"It must feel like you've a new pair of legs , I don't even remember how it felt opening your channel's. For Noble's like us opening of our mana channel's was done at an early age I was 6 at that time. Why don't you sit down you can't move properly anyways and I can't cause I'm tired by using my mana for healing your channel."

I sat down beside her the night breeze wasn't that cold as I used to feel. The game was too realistic to make you the wind , taste the food it almost felt like I was in different world and not a game.

"I've caused you a lot of problem I apologize for that Princess Lecilia."

Seeing how polite I was being she burst into laughter.

'Was I really that rude at the dinner.'

After laughing for few seconds she finally calmed down and said ,

"You don't have to apologize , you're a guest at Serven Palace your safety is our responsibility. Just a thank you will do it."

I took her right hand and kissed it and said ,

"In that case thank you."

'Thank god I watched some old movies it really came in handy.'

After saying my thank you I leaned back again on the wall resting. No words were spoken , I closed my eyes and felt the breeze on my face.

"Why do you wear a mask?"

While Lecilia was helping Excess using her mana Lord Garius was watching all these incidents unfold from the first floor with Hasel and Novin. The innocent Novin standing besides him said ,

"Brother shouldn't we help them? sister Lecilia looks troubled."

"But Novin if we wait here we will be able to see something better."

Hasel and Novin looked towards their brother and couldn't help but think how weird he behaved.

'Oh this is so much fun to watch , I'll be looking forward to train him.'

Just after Excess was healed he inspected his surroundings , seeing him inspecting Garius used Stealth to hide himself but still couldn't hide from Excess. He finally ran away thinking that it still wasn't too late to run.

'He is pretty sharp , what an interesting person.'
