Inheritance Book
"Would you mind if I take a look at it?" Elder Bai asked as he solemnly looked at the book.
"Of course." Not realizing the expression that his master was showing, Lu Ciel freely handed the book to elder Bai and sat back.
After looking at the contents of the book for a while, elder Bai returned the book back to Lu Ciel, looking at him for a moment and nodded as he took out a yellowish white book replacing the blue book that he had given previously.
Seeing that elder Bai replaced the blue book with a different one, Lu Ciel's eyes sparkled as he received the book. "Thank you so much, master!"
"It's good that the inheritance book that you received do not clash with my Alchemy. I would have forbid you to learn it even if that inheritance came from your mother." After saying that, elder Bai's expression eased as he continued with his comment. "In fact, in some ways, it compliments with my alchemy inheritance. Haha!"
"Oh? That is indeed interesting." Lord Alchemist Xi Ao wondered.
"Can you tell us more about it?"
"It's a class inheritance for both Mage and Fighter." Elder Bai simply stated.
"Oh, a magic fighter inheritance." Hearing this, Lord Alchemist Xi Ao somewhat lost interest as this is a common class nowadays. However, knowing that it somehow compliments with elder Bai's alchemy, he still wants to learn the reason behind it. "What made it complimentary to your alchemy though?"
"It's a magic fighter inheritance where properties and characteristics of water and dark element being applied to each other." Elder Bai looked at Lord Alchemist Xi Ao in a meaningful manner, telling him to stop from prying further, as he handed the book back to Lu Ciel.
"I see.." Lord Alchemist Xi Ao nodded in understanding.
"Whoaw.." Lu Ciel did not know what to say. He thought being a Mage is just about standing at the back casting spells towards the enemy. He never thought that he can also actively face the enemies in front just like a hero in the movies.
'This is my cup of tea.' Lu Ciel unconsciously licked his lips in excitement.
A different alchemist entered the garden and approached the group. Noticing this, Elder Bai looked at the alchemist while the rest followed.
As the alchemist was in front of them already, she bowed in greetings and notified, "Elders, the grandmaster alchemist assessment will continue ten minutes from now. We request of your presence."
"Got it. Thank you." Hearing that, the two elders nodded signifying for the alchemist to wait on the side.
As the alchemist waited, elder Bai sighed and looked at his disciple amusement. "It's good that you're showing a talent, kid. However, I never thought that you'd exceed my expectations on you."
"Eh? Thank you for your kind words, master." Lu Ciel was surprised when his master complimented him from out of nowhere. "How so, though?"
Looking at his disciple's ignorant expression, elder Bai only smiled at it as he faced Lord Alchemist Xi Ao. "Elder, since my disciple is the number one Special Alchemist Apprentice candidate, Midas, can you give him the special alchemy license in advance? I plan on not letting him attend the award ceremony tomorrow."
"Eh?" Hearing elder Bai's statement, it's not just Lu Ciel got surprised but the others as well. However, looking at the expression of elder Bai, Lord Alchemist Xi Ao simply nodded and handed a crystal object that has the same appearance of the alchemist badge but flat like a chip to elder Bai.
After receiving the special alchemy license, Elder Bai stood up which made the others stood up as well since they are finished having a lunch already. Lord Alchemist Xi Ao walked out of the shed in the middle of the pond, followed by Mo Del, in understanding that elder Bai has more to say towards his disciple which has nothing to do with them.
"Kid." Noticing that Lord Alchemist Xi Ao and Mo Del was at the distance already, elder Bai faced his disciple and sighed in joy.
"I'm feeling generous right now." With that, elder Bai took out another two books, handing it to Lu Ciel together with the special alchemy license that he recieved earlier and smirked. "Eight subskills slots will be provided once you have consolidated the special alchemy license. There are eight main elements of this world and you have the affinity to all of it as well. You just became a Mage four days and you have already learned three skills of the eight elements. From my observation, it seems that you are fated to walk the elemental path, kid."
Hearing what his master said, Lu Ciel was astounded, however, realization from what his master was implying dawned at him right away.
"I understand, master. Thank you!" Lu Ciel bowed, full of gratitude towards the somewhat old man that he was facing.
"Good kid." Elder Bai held his disciple's shoulders signifying to stand straight. As he looked at his disciple in approving manner, elder Bai provided an instruction, "You can stay here for the mean time and make the most out of the environment to do the things that you need to do. I'll be back after four hours to come and fetch you, okay?"
"Okay." Lu Ciel nodded willingly.
"You noticed that the environment here is more or less the same to the training room that you were staying, right?" Elder Bai smirked.
"Yes." Lu Ciel laughed in reply. "I'll make the most out of my stay here."
"Good." Elder Bai nodded as he patted his disciple's shoulders. "I'll leave you be for now."
With that, elder Bai walked away, catching up to Lord Alchemist Xi Ao, Master Alchemist Mo Del and the female alchemist who were now waiting at the door.
"Thank you, master." Lu Ciel bowed once more.
As the group left, a male and female servants entered the garden, nodding towards Lu Ciel and started clearing the dishes away from the table and cleaning the table right after.
After cleaning the table, the servants left and Lu Ciel was alone once more. He sat back on the chair as he laid all the five books that were just given to him. Holding the special alchemy license, a System window appeared in front of him.

Obviously, Lu Ciel chose yes. Magic circuit-like patterns flashed eight times on his body. After that, the ethereal Siri voice sounded once more.

"Hmm..it really is gonna be harder to balance the stats from now on." Lu Ciel can only sigh as he looked at his Stats window. Thinking further with how his stats will be in the future, he added the free stats on the Agility (+3) and Defense (+2).
"Right.." Lu Ciel looked at the five books in front of him. These were the Wind, Earth, Light, Metal and Ice manipulation arts. "Let me learn all these skills first."
One by one, Lu Ciel learned all the skills. After that, he observed his surroundings wanting to check what should be the skill he will train first out of the five skills, and few minutes passed by first before he was able to conclude that the skill that he can effectively learn in his surrounding is the Light Manipulation Art.
"I choose you." Lu Ciel smiled as he directed his sight towards a shaded area with full of light holes due to the spaces of the tree leaves that lets the sunlight pass through.
