Viv's Plan

This is too many people. Zervas has killed most of them, but it seems like they keep coming.

I swung my sword in an arc and killed as many people as I could before retreating to a defensive position behind Zara, whom was sleeping on the bed behind me.

I feel like I'll get punished for waking her up, so I've just been protecting her. Cross is having a hard time dealing with the enemies and Zervas is going on a rampage in a weird animalistic state.

I killed a few more and stacked their bodies to the side before Cross came and stood beside me.

"Wake her up, we need her help."

"I'm scared to wake her up, you do it." He looked at me with a confused face and went back to fighting. I guess he's just as scared to wake her up as I am. Worst case scenario she goes crazy until my liege gets back, best-case scenario, she kills everyone here and calms down.

I swung my sword downward with all my strength and slashed more people coming at me with a thunderous clap.

Which made a loud noise and I feared for my life.

I heard my lady grumble behind me and turned around in a panic, even though I was being attacked from the front.

"Cera!" The moment she screamed, I could feel the Alm around us becoming thicker and more gruesome. It wasn't bloodlust, but as if the Alm itself was angry.

Everyone stopped moving for a second and we all stood still while we watched her get up.

"Get her!" screamed one of the many people in the crowd, attacking us.

She took out her scythe and cut every single enemy in sight down. Bodies were cut into pieces and frozen parts fell to the ground.

"Where is she?" I felt an immense amount of energy directed at me and I couldn't help but kneel down.

"I don't know." I replied with fear of my head being cut off.

I heard more enemies come and she simply swung her majestic scythe and cut them all down along with part of the house. Zervas backed down and knelt next to me. While Cross stopped moving completely.

She threw her scythe into the sky and watched it go as more enemies came out of nowhere, with bodies starting to pile up in mounds.

As scared as I was, I was relief that she woke up. It seemed she was just angry but still in control. And we couldn't have kept protecting her at the rate that the enemies were coming, had she not woken up, my liege would have killed us for failing to protect her.

That was when her friend from school showed up, lady Paisely was standing at the front gate with a wand in her hands.

"Where is your wife?" It was still her voice but there was something odd and ancient about it.

"Paisely? What are you doing here?" My lady replied with a confused look on her face while her scythe was spinning in the air, causing the wind around us to screech.

"I asked you a question." For some reason my body reacted and I attacked her right away out of fear.

Another thunderous clap went off and she stopped my sword midair by waving her hand and moving her wand. It almost seemed like a spell, but there I couldn't move my sword any further. As if there was a shield made up of Alm there.

My instincts kicked in again and I dashed toward my lady and tried my best to protect her from a purple-colored ice attack. I used all my strength, but was unable to stop it. Luckily for me, Cross intervened as well and we managed to somehow divert the attack.

The purple ice landed on our side and froze over part of the house with a misty, venomous, sludge. Everything incased in the ice began melting. Creating purple viscous water.

"Are you alright my lady?" I turned my head for a moment and saw a sad look on my lady's face.

"We were never friends, were we?" My lady asked.

"No. I was watching you because you posed a threat." Paisely replied.

Even I was a little thrown back. She seemed so friendly and always acted like a real friend in front of me. I couldn't have imagined that she was just acting.

My lady's scythe came down and she caught it with one hand, quickly swinging it down and creating massive ice spikes from the ground where she buried her scythe. The ice spikes quickly made their way toward Paisely and she countered them with her own ice spikes, causing a massive explosion in the garden.

My lady had slashed down half of the house already, but the explosion destroyed most of the front of the house.

All the other enemies stopped moving and I didn't think this would be an easy fight for my lady. As strong as she was, we needed my liege here. Paisely seemed extremely powerful.

Without realizing when, I saw that my lady was no longer behind me. She headed toward Paisely and attacked her with a massive swing. There was a clash of Alm and I could feel the air pressure from the attack hitting my face.

My lady tried to fight her in close combat, but Paisely repelled her every attack and swung her wand down whenever she attacked, forming purple icicles in the air and smashing them into the ground.

My lady avoided them, but it seemed like she was barely getting away.

I thought of what to do at that moment, and I could only think of going to look for liege in this situation. A very powerful enemy confronted us and I don't think my lady could defeat her or let me escape to go look for her.

I quickly came up with a plan and used the Alm contracted embedded inside the three of us to talk to Zervas and Cross.

As soon as I finished talking, I made a run for it and attacked Paisely, with Cross and Zervas behind me.

She didn't think of me as a threat so she ignored me, but I threw my sword at her and made her react. While Zervas' hand turned into a weird claw and attacked her and Cross got behind her.

At that moment, my lady rocketed down from the sky and smashed the hilt of her scythe into her shoulder, breaking through the Alm shield she had created around herself. That was when I made a run for it and left to go find my liege. Leaving my lady to deal with a crazy enemy.
