Only Him

It has been so long since she felt that touch. She realized she craved for it and she wanted to feel more. She staggered back, but Sean removed his lips from her. Friya's surprised when Sean suddenly placed his tawny arms behind her legs. He carried her, in a bridal style, and continued to kiss her lips. Friya tightened her arms around his neck as Sean walked inside.

He went to the bedroom door, pushed it, and went inside. He snaked in his lips through Friya's neck as she tilted her head back.

...

That was a long time ago.

Friya opened her eyes as she waked up in a dream that's impossible to be real. She was lying on her side, with the sunlight bumping on her window frames. Friya laid down on her back as she got a glimpse of Sean in her memory.

That was ages ago. When she knew their relationship was falling apart. Friya looked up at the ceiling of her old bedroom. It was still the same, no leak. She finally moved out of their house, the one she lived with Sean for about 4 years. Everything felt empty now.

A knock came from the door. It opened as Friya stood up from her bed. She let her hair cascade over her shoulders as she heard her mother's voice. "Aren't you going to work? It's an hour before 8."

Friya stared at the wall clock on the top of her study desk. She saw it's already 7am. She threw the comforter on the side. Friya slipped in her furry slippers, and simply responded, "I should get going, mom."

Her mom halted her in the front door, blocking it. She turned to her daughter and asked, "Are you really okay now? Being absent for a day won't hurt you, Friya."

Friya breathed, responding, "I'm fine, mom. I wanted to go to work. I need to, we're shooting up the ranks. No one should be able to blow it up. I am the producer after all."

Her mom sighed. She couldn't control her daughter's decision for now. She's a grownup woman, after all. Friya bit her lip as she added, "I know it's hard for me to cope up with the recent happenings, but I am sure I can. I should."

Her mom's apologetic look wouldn't do it. She turned her head down, walked past ahead, and come outside. Friya turned on the corner of the hallways, down on the staircase. Her mom called out seconds later, "Someone's waiting for you outside."

Friya froze as she spun around. She narrowed her eyes, as she didn't know what her mom conveyed. Friya stood in front of her mom as she pointed out, "Louie's waiting for you outside. He wanted to fetch you now, huh?"

Friya parted her lips with what her mom said. She went down, leaving her daughter behind, and Friya swallowed.

What's the deal between her and Louie? It's none. They're best friends since high school. That's it.

"Mom!" Friya cried out.

...

Friya went out of their house with a coat on. It ended exactly at her knee-length. For sure, the TSV studios will be as frigid as the weather in Arctic. She puffed her cheeks, slipped in her hands on the coat, and turned around.

A startled Louie came from her sight right away. She looked up at him while puffing the air from her cheeks. She sighed as she walked out of their porch and stood in front of him. Louie bit his lip as he mumbled, "Good Morning."

Friya said the same thing. It has been 2 weeks since the accident. A week ended, time flew so past in this life. She turned her head to his car and mumbled, "Why did you fetch me? You have a work this morning, aren't you?"

"We have the same shift. I'm clocking in at 8am," he uttered. He wanted to stay by her side for the meantime. She's alone now. No one wanted to console her with what happened. The house she once lived in with Sean, she left it behind.

"I'll take my car. You don't need to see me around at my house. My parents suspected you as my suitor," Friya sniggered. She turned, walked to their garage, and pressed a button. Louie sensed the independency of Friya at that rate. He cleared his throat. Friya slipped inside her car.

...

"Discharge form is on the way. Based on our assessment, he still needs to come to the hospital every month to see if we could treat his amnesia. For now, I think the family needs to cooperate with Sean's recovery. I am sure you can talk to him all day long," a psychiatrist explained inside the hospital. Sean's family was beyond ecstatic with the good news.

Feline was sitting down beside Sean's bed, and she smiled at him. Tears brimmed as Sean averted his eyes to his girlfriend. He beamed, and he looked back at the doctor.

"Don't stress yourself out, Sean. You still had to bring back splendid memories in you...," he showed his front teeth. Sean's mother paid her gratitude. Standing up from her seat, she bowed down and said thank you.

"Sign the discharge form on the nurse's station. That's all," the psychiatrist spun around, opening the door. He went out while talking to a nurse beside him. Sean's father stood up from the couch and exhaled.

Sean spoke up, "Thank God I can now go home to our house."

Even though he doesn't know what it looked like. Feline clasped her hands down on her lap as she squirmed in her seat. She left the details with Friya out, throwing those memories in a trash bin. Feline looked up and saw the smoldering look of Sean's mother.

She tore it off. Instead, she smiled at Sean and voiced, "I can finally tour you around, to bring back your memories. I know you have been waiting to bring back the life you have."

Sean's father went on, "Yeah, son. Feline will surely guide you back to track."
