Aizawa looked at Ectoplasm and Midnight who shrugged.
"Why don't we set large campfired around us?" Midoriya advised. "No that would lead them right to us. Hey Kitsune?" He called.
"Hmm?" I hummed.
"Could you maybe manipulate the mountain side like a cave high up so we could hide up there?" He asked.
I nodded.
"I'll need to be touching the ground, but yes, I can do that." I said.
"Than let's do it." Aizawa said. "Quickly."
I nodded as everyone got back into their cars and I ran up to a nearby mountain. I pressed my hands on the side of is and melded a road up to the huge mountainside cave I was simultaneously making a couple hundred feet in the air.
The cars passed me, going up the road and to the cave above. As soon as 5 passed the road started to collapse behind them and disappear as it returned to normal. I flew up after them and landed up top with them. I created a waist high wall at the edge, sort of creating a rail to keep people from falling.
I looked to the others as they settled down anywhere and let out sighs.
"Today was easy, with only the slight interruption which Bakugou and Kitsune took care of. But tomorrow . . " We all shushed when we heard a loud roar. At the same time, Aizawa got a phone call.
"Eraser." He said answering it.
Someone on the other line said something that made him panic.
"Where are they now?!" He asked.
The answer was rushed he looked at me.
"What was that roar?" I heard Tokoyami ask.
"Animals are mutating. An effect of the infected scratching or biting them. They're attacking survivors. Kitsune, you need to bring the ramp back up. Vlad King is on his way with Nezu and All Might but, a mutant wolf is on their tail. And it's huge."
As if on cue, a loud roar came from beyond the mountains and we leapt into action.
"Bring the ramp up and we;ll hold the wolf off!" Aizawa said.
I nodded and created a smaller ramp for them to get out and jumped out myself. I fle, back to our earlier spot and started to create the ramp when several jeeps came into view.
I waved and they sped for me, but not long after, a huge gray wolf came into view. It was tall, about 50ft I guessed. it's teeth each about five feet I assumed. It snarled and ran for us. A large pillar of ice stabbed into its side and it howled with pain. I turned to see Todoroki and Tokoyami distraction it while Sero ran around under it, tying its legs with his tape.
Midoriya jumped up from above and landed a heavy smash on its head. It collapsed with a whine and was held down. It snarled and struggled.
The third car went up and the ramp collapsed behind them.
I helped the other back up and we left the wolf tied up. I was the last to return and was greeted by Kendo who threw her arms around me.
"You okay!" She cried.
I hugged her back and rubbed her back reassuringly.
"Of course." I said. I turned to see my class mingle with hers and the all sat down, dividing food and water and flashlights.
I sat down next to Kendo and Mina who ate quietly.
Aizawa and Midnight pulled sleeping gear out from the trunks of the jeeps and started passing them out. I received one and laid it out. Instantly, people started laying theirs out around in a piles so everyone was together.
"We dog piling?" I asked.
I heard a few chuckles go around and everyone laid down for the night. Except for me. I looked out past the railing I set up and saw the wolf continue to struggle.
"It's huge. What could cause this to happen?" I whispered.
"You should get some rest." I heard a voice say. I turned to see Tamaki looking up at me from beside Mirio.
Kirishima was next to him with Bakugou on his other side. Uraraka was sandwiched between Mina and Hagakure with Asui next to them and Jiro and Momo curled up in front of them.
Sero was next to Kaminari who was leaning on Tokoyami who was peacefully leaning against a wall.
Aoyama was laying by with Ojiro who had Iida next to him. Midoriya was laying in front of Bakugou with Todoroki next to him. I smiled at Tamaki who blushed and looked away.
"I'm alright. I'm not tired." I said.
He nodded and covered his head with a blanket.
I chuckled and looked at our teachers. The were quietly conversing on the other side of the jeeps. I stepped carefully around my friends, almost waking Bakugou up and that would have been hell to pay, and over to them.
I stepped around the cars and came into view.
Midnight was fast asleep along with Present Mic, but Aizawa, Ectoplasm, Hound Dog, Vlad King, Nezu and All Might were awake and sipping tea.
"Nezu." I thought.
I tightened my hand on my sword as I came over.
"Ah. Kitsune." Nezu said as I stopped beside Aizawa
"You should be resting." Aizawa grumped.
"Have you thought about my idea?" I asked.
"We were just discussing it." He said.
"Whatever made you come up with the idea?" All Might asked.
I looked at them and sighed.
"I was with Midoriya during the rescue to save Eri. He and I went with Mirio for our internship. When I learned what Eri experienced," I shook my head in disgust. "I would never want that to happen again. But, I though if she could hone her power, and control it to at least the point where she could use it properly, could she change people back to normal. Even if it is one at a time."
I suddenly felt this horrible feeling. It was the feeling of being watched. I turned around to see a tuft of green hair.
"Hi Midoriya."
~Midoriya's Point of View~
I felt something thud away and looked up groggily to see Kitsune walk over to the teachers. I quietly got up and followed her. I peeked around, listening to her conversation.
She suddenly stopped and turned around in my direction. I quickly hid but I guess she saw me because I froze at her words.
"Hi Midoriya."
I poked my head back out and laughed nervously.
"Hi?" I said, unsure whether to expect scolding.
"Join us." She said, surprising me. "I'd like your input."
I shuffled into view and smiled at All Might.
"I think it'll definitely work since I've experienced the power. But I'm curious on how she'll train during this, and how you plan to fix everyone." Midoriya said.
Kitsune's ember eyes looked at me before looking at our sleeping friends, Eri cuddling with Mirio. Her long black hair was out of the ponytail and it swayed in the slight breeze.
"I wonder if Eri can use her power on multiple at once. We don't have enough data to assume that she can. That would make it easier if she could. Her training can start once we get to the refuge but, we need to get out of this situat-"
A loud roaring howl pierced the air as the wolf let out a cry.
I gasped and felt my blood run cold. I felt their eyes on me as I thought. I used to want to be a veterinarian before I wanted to be a hero. I studied all about animals and their behavior. And I recognised this kind of cry.
This was a cry for back up.
"We need to move." I said moving quickly.
"What? Why? What happened Kitsune?" Aizawa asked.
"That was a cry for help. He's calling for his friends. And I have no doubt that his friends are huge infected wolves." I said starting to wake everyone up.
"GET UP!" I shouted.
Shinso was sleeping by himself but quickly darting up at my shout only yo clutch his sid in pain.
The other slowly got up and sighed.
"Kitsune, are you serious right now?" Kaminari asked.
"We need to move. There's trouble." I said.
Everyone snapped to attention at the next big howl from the wolf.
"I'm guessing that's that trouble." Todoroki asked.
"What're we gonna do?" Tsunotori asked. She brushed her blonde hair out of her face and yawned.
"We're gonna run. I'm gonna see what's on the other side of this mountain and see where it can take us." I said. "Pack and load up. When you see a ramp appear, drive for it."
"Kitsune, take two with you. I don't want you to go alone." Nezu said.
I groaned.
"Who else can fly?" I asked.
Bakugou, Tokoyami both raised their hands. I saw a look flit across Midoriya's face as he thought but shook his head.
"Kay fine. Let's go yout two." I looked at the others. "Move quickly. I want to get out of here. I don't have a good feeling about this." I jumped out of the window.
I was getting slightly pissed off at the fact that Nezu thought I couldn't protect myself, but had to shove it off and fly up towards the top of the mountain. I turned around and flew backwards to watch the wolf and Bakugou and Tokoyami follow me.
"You two okay down there?!" I called teasingly.
"Shut up! I'll pass you up!" Bakugou called back while Tokoyami just stared at me as I grinned and laughed at Bakugou.
I reached the top of the mountain only to be hit by something. And it hit HARD. I was slammed back and quickly fell to down the mountain. I clutched my bleeding shoulder as I feel, losing blood.
"AGH!" I shouted, trying to get their attention.
"KITSUNE!" Bakugou shouted. I felt my body slam into a pair of arms as we propelled to the ground.
I looked up to see a huge crow circle above us.
"You have got to be kidding me." Tokoyami said.
Bakugou was having a hard time moving in the air with me, but was able to slow down so he could jump back through the cave opening.
"What happened?!" Midnight shouted, running over. Aizawa whipped around and ran over at the sight of me.
"Mutated crow. Caught her off guard. Surprised me too actually. I didn't even hear or smell it." Tokoyami explained as Bakugou gently set me down against a wall. I winced and he looked at me with concern before catching my nod that it was okay.
My shoulder was almost destroyed. It had a deep gash, but wasn't too bad. It was just deep. about three inches wide and four deep.
I hissed and looked at Bakugou.
"Get my bag." I said.
He nodded and wen to grab it. He returned shortly and opened it for me before handing it to me. I shuffled in before pulling the scarf out and pulling my jacket off. I pulled the left side of my shirt down past my shoulder to reveal the injury. I grabbed the first aid kit and found hands stopping my.
"Let me." Aizawa said.
He quickly but gently cleaned the wound an put a bandage around it.
"What's that scarf for?" He asked, holding it up when he was done.
"To keep the bandage in place when I fly." I said.
"Fly?" Bakugou scoffed. "Your staying with them. Your not going anywhere else. Let Tokoyami an-" He was stopped as there was a a howl. This time, it didn't come from the wolf. Instead, it was followed by a another different one and another until we heard three new howls.
