Chapter 5 : New Life

I was dressed fully prepared for the big day ahead of me in the next thirty minutes my father will here to pick me .

I don't even know him . My marriage can be better said as an arrange marriage and I was just happy because my dad was happy . My hair has been braided and also decorated with beautiful white flowers and shining silver pins . My gown was just pure white and a bit lacy and it was very beautiful but too long and too big and too wide I can't even see my feet . How will I even walk in this thing. Staring at the mirror I smiled at my self . I looked so different and my jewelries were not that heavy it was just simple and perfect .

I was very nervous. I don't want to make a mistake today . I saw my dad looking back at him he was fully dressed up for me . He gently placed his hand on my shoulders .

" You look so beautiful and cute but something is missing " .

" What's that ? "

He brought out my glasses from the drawer I kept it .

" You kept your glass here " .

" Yes dad I know" .

" Why did you kept it here " .

" The lady that dressed me up told me not to wear them and it's okay I can still see " .

" But I prefer you this way " . He brought the glass close to my face and placed them where they are met to be . I looked back at the mirror and saw the reason why I looked different .

" You don't displease your self to please others " .

He kissed my forehead .

" I wish your mother was here to witness this day " .

A sad look appeared on his face but later fade away.

" We all are waiting for you downstairs " .

I took red roses which were decorated with silver glitters and look at myself one last time . I sure do look like a nerd on my special day . But I like be the real me my groom should deal with it .

Soon we were at the church . My face was covered with a veil . I found it very difficult to walk with the heels and I keep stepping on my dress I just pray I don't trip . My dad held my hands and we both walked up the aisle . The orchestra placed a very slow song and the choirs sang so lovely . I felt gazes boring into my soul and I heard whispers from many angles .

Getting to where he was , my dad handed me over to my groom that was when I saw him .

He was looking at me !!!

He was daring , handsome , cold aura , icy and beautiful .

" Do you take this man as your lawfully wedded husband " .

The priest asked waiting for my response .

" I do " . I let out the two words I have been practicing.

When was he asked I guess I was busy thinking of how charming and good looking he his . At the spelling of Jesus he fixed the diamond ring on my finger and I did so too as fast as I can .

" I here by pronounce you two husband and wife " . The congregation applauded . Everything was going so fast and I barely even have time to calculate what's going on around me.

" Now you may lift the veil and kiss your bride " . It sounded so awful and disgusting .

sweet lovely song where played by the orchestra as my groom move slowly towards where I stood .

I feel like melting or let me take a step back and run away but I didn't do any of such I just stood there .

He lifted the veil gently that it didn't even touch my face.

His hands went round my tiny waist and he gave me a peck on the lips or let me say quick kiss .

Everyone stood up and applauded and flowers went flying everywhere.

We walked down the aisle waving at friends and well wishers . I have to say bye to my dad too I never wanted to leave him alone with my aunty but he promised to visit me.

I just for a better life after this .

Getting to my new home , it was a huge tall mansion . I hope there are other living beings in the house I don't want to be here all alone.

A lady welcome me in . She was tall , slim and beautiful . I saw a little boy sleeping on the couch holding a teddy bear and he look so cute . The tall lady took me to a room upstairs. The room was a bit a bit spacious and also nice .

" My name is Prudence . I will be teaching you all what the master like and what he wants and also what he hate and dislike " .

I had my bath change into an emerald gown .

I removed all the pins on my hair Prudence helped to comb it .

" We can be friends as long as you don't get me into trouble ".

" Ok " . But I get her into lots of trouble .

" Good ".

I bet there are so many rules in this place . We both walked down stairs everywhere was dark a bit and also dull .

" It's noon I think you should open the curtains " .

There was a tall curtain in the passage way .

" No, no , no , no . Rule number one . Those curtains are never opened it simply isn't done " .

" But..."

" The master don't want it to be opened by anyone" .

" Okay ".

" I guess you are tired and you need a nap ".

" Yes " .

She took me to a room she didn't even enter she just stood my the door .

" This room is for you ..."

Hip hip hooray . I was so happy my personal room and I don't have to share a bed . Hurray!

" ... and the master " .

What !!!!!

" So you can rest tommorow is a bright day ahead of us thank you " . She said and shot the door .

The room was super big and spacious and there was a king-size bed too . I was shocked, scared and surprised . There was a huge tall mirror too .

I went close to the bed it was neatly dressed all black and white that is when I noticed that the room was all black and white.

I was a bit scared or let me say super duper really scared . I gently enter the sheet but I couldn't fall asleep not when am in the room of someone I don't really know and in a weird colored room .
