Feng Hei Lang heard a beep, so she looked down at the notification.

She frowned and clicked on the requirements.
[User must be Level 10 and user must be in a dark area with blood and flesh near them.]
Feng Hei Lang frowned even more. 'Requirements? That didn't happen last time. I guess I'll have to wait to evolve. Anyways, I need to go slow down my poison for a little bit.'
She quickly pulled up her stat window to use up some Stat Points.

She gasped at the parentheses next to her original stats. 'Oh! My [Appraisal] leveled up, so now I can see all the stat boosts from my artifacts and weapons!' Feng Hei Lang thought for a moment before assigning her Stat Points.

Feng Hei Lang nodded in satisfaction as energy rushed through her. 'Alright, now I can go slow down my poison for a few more days before heading back to Kang Lei and Kirei!' She closed her stat window and ran down deeper into the alleyway, looking for any stray people.

Feng Hei Lang arrived back at the inn, wiping her mouth clean of any blood. She slipped through the window back into her room and flopped onto the hard bed.
She let out a long breath. 'Well, that was tiring! There was this man that kept trying to run away, but luckily, he didn't see my face.' Feng Hei Lang sat up once more and exited her room, heading across towards Kirei and Kang Lei's.
She knocked twice, and someone shouted, "Come in!"
Feng Hei Lang pushed the door open to see Kirei working on the antidote, while Kang Lei was munching on some bread. She frowned. "You really don't have anything to eat but bread, don't you?"
Kang Lei shrugged. "I would get something else, but Kirei wouldn't lend me the money." He finished off the bread and stood up. "So how did your business go? Can we finally get out of Fengli city now?"
She nodded. "It went fine and yes. We should probably get out of here as soon as possible. The assassin may come back anytime."
Kirei nodded and stood up. "I agree. I'll finish up the antidote on the way. It should only take about two more days since I speeded up the process with some extra herbs."
Feng Hei Lang grinned. "Thanks! We should go hunt the Alpha Wolf from the Iron Fanged Clan as soon as possible. Don't we need to get back in time for the tournament?"
Kirei nodded once more. "We do. But it starts in around two or three weeks, so we have a bit of time." He took the brewing pot and placed it back into his spatial pouch once more. "We should stock up on some food and then start heading off tonight. If we go at night, we can sneak past the city gates."
Feng Hei Lang had already predicted the situation of getting out of the city, so she had filled some empty bottles from her healing potion with blood just in case. She turned to the both of them. "Alright, we'll leave tonight. Pack your belongings, you don't want to leave anything behind."
They both nodded as she headed back to her own room. Feng Hei Lang took off her cloak and stretched. She quickly slipped more daggers into hidden areas of her cloak while keeping the gladiator snake's dual daggers at her side.
Feng Hei Lang quickly pulled out Xing from her shadow. He was already awake and alert. 'Hello Mommy!'
She smiled and patted his head. "Here, I got you a beast core." She pulled out the epic beast core that had dropped from the gladiator snake.
Xing's eyes shone as he looked at it. Feng Hei Lang placed it in front of him. "I haven't fed you any beast cores in a while, so I thought that this would make up for it."
He opened his mouth wide, and with a gulp, he swallowed it completely. Xing slowly curled into a ball to refine the energy. 'Thanks, Mommy...'
Feng Hei Lang quickly placed him back into her shadow. "Oh...he fell asleep. Aiya, I forgot to ask him to test out the [Spatial Distortion]. Oh well, I'll do that when he wakes up."
She looked out the window at the descending sun. 'Alright, we'll head out tonight and go hunt the Alpha wolf before finally going back to Hu Li University.'
Feng Hei Lang grinned in satisfaction. 'I can't wait to see what the tournament is like!'
