Chapter 6

"Dinner will be served at the dining room at six o'clock later." informed Aom.

"Miss Sabrina, you can take a nap first. You must be exhausted after what you had been through. I will wake you up at half past five." continued Aom with a smile on her face.

For the first time I slept like a baby. At six o' clock sharp I went down into the dining room with Aom .

When I reached there everyone was at the table. Chen was at the end of the table while Master Lim was sitting at the head of the table. Next to him on one side were his two sons and on the other side was a beautiful, elegant lady in a beautiful summer dress. She was tall and slim with high cheek bonds. She was in her early forties. She stood up and walked towards me.

"You must be Sabrina." said the beautiful lady.

"I am Mrs Lim. You can call me Aunt Helen. It is so nice to meet you."

"Come and sit beside me."

Once I sat down beside her, she continued to talk to me.

"Let me introduce you to my boys."

"This is my eldest son, Henry. He is sixteen years old," said Aunt Helen while pointing to the boy sitting next to Master Lim.

"... and this is my younger son, Josh who is eleven." said Aunt Helen pointing to the boy who was sitting directly opposite of me.

She clapped both her hands happily together and say, "The three of you will get along just fine."

Henry was very tall and athletic. He has brown chestnut colored hair and a pair of brownish eyes which matches his hair color. He inherited his father's sharp cheekbones. He also wore a pair of round glasses.

He smiled at me when he caught me glancing at him. Both his dimples were visible. My faced blushed.

As for Josh, he has brownish hair and a pair of big, brown eyes. His face was round and rosy. He was chubby. Josh was busy with his food and he did not pay much attention to me.

During dinner, Master Lim and Chen were busy talking to each other.

"Let's go to the town tomorrow, Sabrina. We need to get you some new clothes and other necessities." proposed Aunt Helen.

"...and after that we can go sight-seeing and pray at the temple," continued Aunt Helen.

I nodded my head as a response.

Aunt Helen was a loving and caring woman. I can see it in her eyes and by the way she talked to me. She took hold of my hands and squeezed them tightly.

"Everything will be alright, Sabrina. I am here for you." assured Aunt Helen.

"Thank you, Aunt Helen." I replied with a weak smile.

Throughout the dinner I just ate my dinner quietly with my head down most of the time feeling awkward.

After dinner, all of us moved into the living room for dessert.

"Here, have some sweet Thai crepe and coconut ice-cream, Sabrina. These are Thai dessert." said Aunt Helen.

I took the dessert and ate them quietly. It was delicious.

Chen and Master Lim were still busy talking with each other while Henry was listening to all their conversation.

Aunt Helen was in a conversation with Josh. I just sat there and thought about the time when my parents, grandfather and myself would submerged ourselves in books after dinner in the library; sometimes laughing at my father or grandfather's silly jokes.

I missed them so much.

Around 8.30 pm, Aom came to get me and Josh.

"It time for bed, Master Josh and Miss Sabrina."

"Good night."I wished everyone before I left the living room.
