I shot up with a gasp, wondering what the hell that was.

not even realizing what I had just done not seconds ago(more like almost a week) I had gotten up and looked around, I was in hub, but not on the bench, where I saw Hornet asleep.

I decided to try and think out to the system, because that's what I wanted after all.

ok lets go through this step by step, Difficulty is concerning but nothing I can do about it.

not touching resolution, inversion, sensitivity, or that DSD, BGM I might turn on later.

lets see about that brightness setting.

-Brightness[Currently at 30%]

alright, I'll change that to a nice 60% cause I have a feeling this will be good.

it takes a moment for my eyes to re-adjust because I changed the Brightness, but it looks like it worked, I can see everything in a brighter light.

ok next volume, brightness was a good idea(I restrained my brain from thinking of that poor pun for it) so volume will be a great one.

-Volume[Currently at 20%]

well, time to change that a little, not too much(thinking back to the nosk screech) *shudder*

making it a good 40% I could hear Hornets soft breathing from over here on ground like I wanna say three or four feet away(America mother F**kers)

ok, now that that's all settled, time to go see that third place in the mushroom tunnels. (this will have been one of my worst ideas yet if only because I had forgotten how long I was out for as what the screen had said)

I stood at the fork and was a bit perturbed, the left and right paths look decayed, and the path in front of me looks like some deranged animal was uncaged and its favorite food was on the other end of the path, and there were some things standing in its way.

I walked slowly and carefully down the path, enemies that looked like they could have got me killed very fast if I was careless, I was walking slightly terrified now.

as I neared the large cavern at the end of the tunnel, I saw what looked like the remains of millions of giant spiders, like as large as sif, they were made of moss and mushrooms it looked like.

and in the middle of this massive field of death, I saw a massive spider curled up dead, it could have been the brood mother, I don't have any confidence I could have killed this many spiders and the mother without getting some awful disability that not even focus would fix.

I saw something behind the whole battle field, it was a charm, but it was not at the same time, I could not really tell from this distance so I got closer.

what I found was shocking.

[Shattered Charm, This charm was Shattered, unable to equip, unable to see true name, unable to see effects, it is possible to fix this charm but not now]

how was it that something could shatter a charm, I thought they were unbreakable except for the fragile charms from base, something tells me this is not the same.

I picked it up and walked on to find a bench, and warped to hub.(once more forgetting the position of Hornet at the moment, I haven't said what happens when a warp happens and someone is on the bench at a position that does not allow for another person to sit on it, I'm about to show you.)

as I warped back, something felt off this time, I suddenly found myself sitting underneath Hornets head and suddenly I remember about a lot of important things that I should have instantaneously thought about, but the system hogged my thoughts at first.(and lo, it was too little to late)

my face paled under my mask, even more so than what it was already.

Hornet stirred, I froze, she stopped.

I let out a sigh, and she got up.

I sat very still, hoping she does not notice anything off.(forgetting that she had line of sight with where you were laying before you woke up)

Hornet bolted up, and sat to my left, and looked right ahead, exactly to where I was laying until I woke up.

Hornet slowly looked to her right, very slowly, I could practically hear creaking as she turned to look at me.

and what does my dumbass decide is the best form of action at the moment.

"hey Hornet, how's it going?" try and be all nonchalant and act like I didn't just leave hornet alone for like almost a week as I fell into a coma, with no warning.

"E-Ember?" Hornet asks, she sounds so distraught.

"yes?" I say back, once more trying to be nonchalant.

"is, is that really you?" she asks, sounding like she could break out into tears.

"the last time I checked yeah." it looks like I'm trying to go full retard, and everyone knows, you never go full retard.

"why?" she asked.

"why what?" I asked, going full retard.

"why did you leave me?" she asked

"I didn-" I tried saying as I was still in full retard, but was cut off.

"you left me, for almost a whole week, why?" she asked, the sad feeling she had before seems to be slowly getting replaced with anger, ruh roh.

"well, you see-" that anger startled me out of full retard, I was cut off once more.

"Almost. A. Whole. Week. Why?!" I could hear the caps in that one.

I thought quick on my feet, and took off both my mask and hers and quickly kissed her.(smooth move romeo.)

her anger instantly went out, and was replaced with shock, and then that melted into joy and love.

the kiss felt like it lasted forever and a half, but it was only 2 minutes.

we pulled away from the kiss for air.

"sorry for being away for so long." I said after getting some breath in my lungs.
