Not even a second after landing on her bed, she started to cry her eyes out while whining like a little kid that didn't get a present on Christmas. At this moment she felt like the whole world is against her feeling lonely, no shoulders to cry on. She thought of running away.
"I wanna run away" she mumbles to herself as she sits up facing the wall in front of her bed. Tears rolled down her face uncontrollably. A little voice starts to say "it's okay, things will get better". At that time, she immediately remembered about the fairy. While looking around her room, she calls out softly "Tryamon?" The said fairy flies up onto her head and sits on it. "Yes?" The fairy says softly to the sad human girl "did you say something?" The other gives her weird looks before shaking her head a no.
"It wasn't her silly'' the soft voice calls out again this time, Amelia tries to look around her room for the owner of the voice but sadly, it's only her and Tryamon is in the room. "Who was speaking?" She asks the only fairy there "no one?" She answered but more like a question.
"I'm not there, but I am inside your head!" The soft voice cheerfully says. This statement makes herself thinks that she is crazy "Tryamon is it possible to hear voices inside of our head?". The latter tilts her head before replying " well, I am not sure about you humans, but no" the other just reply with a small 'oh'.
Amelia looks dazed like she has a lot of things in her mind "I heard a voice…. And the voice said that they are in my head". She furrowed her eyebrows in frustration "am I crazy?" The voice again giggles. "Ugh, I'm losing my mind" she ruffles her hair while Tryamon looks at her weirdly "why don't you get to sleep it's late," the other said.
"You're right but I have to bathe first," she says as she stands up from her bed going into her bathroom that's placed in front of her bed. After bathing, and putting on her pyjamas she went straight to bed.
She wakes up. Her eyes scan the room she is in and does not recognise this room. The room does not have doors, which is pretty weird. In the room, there is a couch, which she is laying on. It is placed in the middle of the room. In front of her is a short wooden table the room is fully lit with lights. On that table is a golden crown with rainbow-coloured gems.
Amelia sits up while locking her eyes on the crown then lifting it to examine it. As she lifted the crown, a photo of a baby girl was under it. She squinted her eyes as she looked at the photo. Suddenly, a white light flashes and she wakes up on her bed.
"Amelia? Amelia!" A small voice calls out to her. She jolted up. She then looks at the fairy that woke her up "are you okay? Why are you crying?" The said girl touches her now wet cheek to just realise she had been crying. "I-i don't know" she stuttered "I had a dream…" she wipes her wet cheeks with the sleeve of her pyjamas.
"It's still early so can you turn off the light? I want to sleep more" she pulls the blanket up making it cover her. Tryamon turns off the light. They both went back to sleep. The fairy slept in a bundle of clothing inside a basket.
The next morning, both of them had woken up early. Amelia's nana had knocked on the door to wake them up " I'm awake!" She yelled out.
Knowing why her nana had woken her up, she grumpily makes her way to the closet that she owns. "What even am I going to wear?" She mumbles to herself quietly. At the same time, her door bursts open. She looks at her nana who just barged into her room without permission or even a heads up.
"Nana, you didn't even knock," she says while looking at her nana. "Sorry sweetie I'm just excited" the elder replied cheerfully making the younger look at her grumpily. "I don't like when you do this to me" the upset girl turns away from her nana. A scoff came out from the elder's mouth as she grab Amelia by the shoulders and making her and Amelia facing each other.
"You need to stop being an ungrateful granddaughter," her nana says with a stern voice. Her eyes bore into the abyss of her granddaughter's pupils. "Now." She takes the clothes that had been hanging on her shoulder shoving it harshly onto her granddaughter's chest.
"Take this, and change" she glares at the younger. Without a sound, Amelia takes the clothes and goes into her bathroom to get ready. She puts the clothes on the bathroom counter and looks at herself in the mirror. Furrowing her eyebrows, she says to mumbles sweet nothing for herself.
As she finishes, her grandmother is seen sitting on her bed. The elder looks at the girl while smiling softly. "Well, don't you look much prettier looking like a real woman" to Amelia something doesn't add up to that statement. Her body went stiff and the elderly woman notices it. "Is there something wrong with what I had said?" For some reason, her nana's smile makes her uncomfortable. "No," she quietly replies to her nana.
"Then, shall we make you look like a girl even more?" She asks the younger. "Um, i- no thank you nana" the younger politely decline. Her nana's eyebrows furrowed but she still has that weird smile on her face. "I said, shall we make you look like a girl even more?" She repeats her question but this time, the tone of her voice changed.
Now, the vibe is, even more, weirder and oddly suspicious. "I-" she was about to decline again. But, decided to be against it instead. "Sure nana" the smile on her nana's grows. Then her nana stands up and takes her by the hand dragging her to the master room where she is about to get her look done.
