Ese's pov

I looked up at the sky as i zoned out his ranting. The moon and stars we're shining radiantly,I got lost just staring. After a while,i couldn't hear his voice which were nothing but distant muttering some seconds ago,I then concluded that he was done. Still looking at the moon like it was the most fascinating thing ever,i took a deep breath and said "Dad I'm so sorry, I have been busy with school" "Too busy to pick up your calls...? Don't ever do that again" My dad said in a low tone "Yes sir" I replied And then he hanged up . I scoffed and dumbed my phone back into my purse and started walking down to the Hall. He should be giving an award for the worlds best father,No how have you been coping,nothing. I just started a new phase in my life and he had nothing to ask or say. He is angry that I wasn't picking his calls?,what exactly did he have to say!? Nothing apparently. I was now two tables away from I and Seyi's and all thoughts of my father vanished,why?. Because of the scene before me,a really annoying looking girl was flirting shamelessly with Seyi. I wasn't even gone for that long,the nerve of him,of them.I thought. Her fingers we're sliding slowly through his hands and she was smiling and saying something stupid I'm sure. Seyi on the other hand was giving her awkward smiles. I just stood there looking,specifically at the ugly looking bimbo,I know that didn't make any sense,but I don't care. I'm really pissed. I was trying to calm myself before I did something drastic,like pulling the ugly looking wig off her head,no that was too good for her,what else could I do to this flirt?.I thought. This definitely isn't me calming down. I said to myself. The ugly looking bimbo then went ahead to move closer to him, pretending she wanted to say something he wasn't hearing due to the music. She was good I'll give her that,Seyi on the other hand was just being stupid. You know what,I'm done with this nonsense I walked up to the table and let out the most fake smile in history and then said "That's my seat and my date,so leave if you aren't totally shameless" She rolled her eyes,hissed and stood up to leave. I so wanted to let out my inner drama queen but decided against it,this bitch isn't worth it. Seyi is though,he is so going to get it,I said to myself. "Call me" She mumbled before leaving The nerve of this girl sha.. Seyi quickly looked away. Now he is having sense,well too late. Let the silence treatment begin,he deserves it and more self,but my rational side is reminding me of the fact that we aren't official. I'm still not talking to him though,call me childish,I don't freaking care. I finally sat down and quickly averted my eyes to the dance floor and then moved it from couple to couple who were dancing to energy by buju. They all looked so cute,most were simply swaying,other's were talking,smiling and laughing. I wanted that too,but this human sitted beside me decided to be annoying,so I'm currently stuck just staring longingly. "Are you seriously not going to talk to me?" Seyi said sounding amused. He thinks this is funny,alright now,no problem,I'm going to show him funny. And just then lenu by Buju came on and every body went wild,including me. This song was awesome and just then I got an idea. I'm going to show Seyi that he was stupid for giving that ugly bimbo the light of day. I swayed to the dance floor without sparing Seyi a look. Everyone was going crazy with shaku shaku and legwork,including me. My dress was making it a little hard to move,but i managed. While still in the crazy dancing mode,a guy moved close to me and started dancing along side me,he watched my legs and hands move and then started moving his the same time mine was and it was so cool. Left,right,our legs and hands moved in sync. He started moving his right leg and hand together towards the right. And I joined him,this is basically my favourite dance step,it's called gwara gwara an it's from south Africa. We were moving in sync and some other persons joined us on the dance floor. It was so fun,I was laughing hysterically and enjoying the moment. The song playing stopped all of a sudden and then came the uproar "Guy what's up nah?" "What happened to the music?" "Put the music back on!" The Mc came on and said through the microphone "Guys wait wait,The vibes on this dance floor is mad!!!" And everybody shouted in reply "So we are going to do something yea?,ladies to the left,guys to the right" The MC said Some persons sitted stood up and joined us. The ladies moved to the left and the guys to the right just as the MC said The MC turned to the DJ and said "Play me something for the ladies!!" The MC turned to the left,were the girls were and said "ladies show me what you've got,show this guys your moves!!,they've gat nothing on you" "And preferably shake what your mama gave you!" He said jokingly,or maybe not,I'm not so sure The ladies starting laughing and some guys whistled in reply. I on the other hand wanted to walk away. The reason I was even here was nowhere to be found. I had spared some time to look around,but I could not spot him. I was about to walk away when he walked from who knows where and stood directly opposite me. He smirked and mouthed show me what you've got. I rolled my eyes and smiled without meaning to and mouthed let's go Girls by falz and patoranking came on And it happened. I started using all the dance steps I only showcased to myself and my room in secret. It was like there was an unspoken rule that each girl had their turn,cause when I started dancing,the girls cheered as I was allowed to do my thing. It was crazy,but surprisingly liberating,I just felt so free and happy while busting dance steps and people I didn't know shouted in support. The song changed and the most surprising thing that night happened. Seyi Abayomi took off his suit leaving just his dress shirt and then threw the suit towards me. I caught the suit,still bewildered. The action lead to screams from the ladies and hailing sounds from the guys. He folded his sleeves in the most sexy way and then he started moving his legs and hands to get a dance step that got everybody supporting him through loud sounds. And I stood there gaping. All of a sudden the ladies pushed me towards him and the guys made way for me. And before I knew it we were both dancing in sync to scatter by fireboy. I would start with a dance step and he would follow,vice versa. After a lot of shouting, laughing and dancing from the crowd,Seyi and I, finally left the Hall. ******************************* We were currently at the place,I like to call my place. There's a weird silence in the air and it was deafening. Despite the amazing night,I was still really pissed at Seyi,yea I'm stubborn like that. So I decided that giving him simple answers was the appropriate punishment. "Okay fine, I should have told her to leave,I'm sorry,are you happy now" He said I said nothing. "Babe I said I'm sorry" He said in a low tone I said nothing. He placed his hands on my jaw, and made traces with his hands from my jaw to my lips. I pushed his hands away. "Baby I said I'm sorry,I just didn't want to be rude" He tried again "I don't know why you are apologizing,it's not like we are dating or anything" I said hoping this will lead to the conversation I have been waiting for all night. "First of all we are more than just dating,we're joined to the hip remember?" He said making me laugh "And second of all you don't have to be jealous cause since I met you it has only been you and baby it will always be like that,I promise" My heart skipped a beat,but me being me I pouted and said "I was not jealous" He laughed and said "That's all you got from what I said?" I nodded childishly. He laughed again and beat his lips while staring at me "okay I'll repeat, since you no longer hear" "Hey!" I shouted "E I said it's only you and it'll always be just you" He said looking more serious than I have ever seen him. I honestly was dumbfounded,I didn't know what to say,I was expecting plain,something like,I like you.Will you be my girlfriend.So that all I'll have to say is . I like you too and yes. Now,that definitely wasn't what he said.

So I gat nothing. Seyi was still looking at me.Like deeply staring into my eyes. I shyly placed a strand of my hair behind my ear and adjusted my self on the iron bench we were both sitting on. He started laughing all of a sudden "I can't believe you can be this shy especially after the night we just had" "Hey shut up,I can't help it" I said with a smile "Help me out here jor..." I said while staring at the floor I was about to place the strand of hair that was now on my face behind my ear,when I felt his hands on my skin and then I looked up at him,only to see that his face was so close to mine. He took the strand of hair and placed it behind my ear and said " Will you be my girlfriend?,like officially? " I bit my lips and then let out a smile before saying "yes" He let out his signature smile and I smiled back shyly while placing a strand of hair behind my ear. He beat his lips as he gave me a longing stare. Before I could think about anything but his lips,I felt them devouring mine. This kiss was different,he kissed me like he had all the time in the world like he wanted nothing else. I tried to make him feel the same way as i moved my lips against his. This wasn't our first kiss,neither was it our second but this will be the one I would never forget.
