Chapter 5: How dare she !

Richard's thoughts during the bal

I was a little nervous when I waited for her in the end of the stairs, but when I saw her in the top of the stairs she was beautiful as ever in this long garnet dress which fits her very well.

I noticed that the others suitor where all amazed like me seeing her going down the stairs, unlucky for them it's me who she is gonna choose tonight. I noticed another thing when she was going down the stairs, she always looked in the corner of the room.

But I remarked that she was already in the end of the stairs so I decided to get that thought out of my mind and tried to remember the sentece that prepared earlier to say to her. I got ready to give her the bouquet as soon as she arrived in the end of the stairs and I immediately handed her the bouquet and said "you are particularly beautif..." but she wasn't even looking in my direction and she continued to walk towards the corner of the ballroom.

I was curious what or maybe who is she looking at in the corner.

Every guests begin whispering and looking at her amazed. Then I saw HIM, a guy was standing in front of her. Who was he ? He doesn't even seem to be a vampire. What is he doing ?How dare he kissed her hand ? And her how dare she took his bouquet ? At this moment I feel my blood boiled, she humiliated me but also my family in front of the most powerful vampire sovereigns. When they danced together?

I was so angry with and I can feel that my father's eyes who watched me angrily right now, if gaze can kill, he already killed me with his gaze. At this moment, I said that to my self "Richard, don't dare you turned your gaze into your father".

Richard's father's thoughts

When Richard and this girl were married I can finally access to more power. I just need to wait a few minutes that this little brat choose Richard. "Your daughter is very beautiful tonight, My Queen", I said to her mother.

What is she doing ? She is blind or what Richard is just besides her why she continued her way in the center of the ballroom.

Wait, what ? How dare she choose this moron instead of my son ? He isn't even a vampire. "This is all ridiculous, I need to talk to George. How can he let his daughter embarass ME like that. Euh,... I mean my son like that." I said without realizing that I'm not longer speaking in my mind but with a loud voice .

"Don't forget where is your place Paul.

He is still your King and we are in public here, you can't talk to him like that even if he is your best friend. Did I make my self clear ?", the queen responded. "All my excuses, my queen, I didn't mean to offend you", I replied. "But you did and I don't want your excuses.", she replied after."This little brat who serves me of son disappointed me again decidedly, he is like her mother", I think when I was looking into Richard's direction.

Vanessa's father's thoughts

when she appeared in the top the stairs, she was beautiful as when she was born with her mother's dark black eyes and my raveen black hair. When I walked her to the end of the stairs, it remembered me the first time I saw her : when she was born, as soon as I laid my eyes on her I knew that she will be my reason of living, she will mean everything for me, she and her mother my world, my sun and my moon.

I didn't believe that my little ghoul has grown up so much and will be very soon a queen and will be married with Richard. I couldn't have dreamed better as a son-in-lawand when we arrived in the end of the stairs I knew taht I should let her go, let her stand on her own feet. I said all the things that a father would say in this situation "honey, you are so beautiful and I'm so proud of you."

It was weird that she didn't go into Richard's direction after I let her go and led into the corner of the ballroom directionand she stooped in front of this weird guy who doesn't seem to be a vampire but a werewolf, I almost have a heart attack when she this bouquet offered by this werewolf. How dare she ? She is embarassing our family in front of everyone, vampire don't hang out with werewolf it's a blasphemy.

Richard's thoughts during the search

We search her everywhere in town. Where the hell could she be now ? Why did she do that ? Just to make her father angry or maybe to make me jealous ? I have so much question without no responses and I'm so angry with her by humiliting and disrespecting me in front of everyone.

"We should go back in the castle now, the sun will rise soon we'll continue searching tomorrow night", said King George while I was still lost in my thoughts. "Richard the King said to return in the castle NOW", my father said with a firm and angry voice.
