The Arch-Demon

*During the fight between the possessed Alex and Alice*

"Hello... where am I?"

"What do you mean where are we, we are on the run did you forget."

Alex froze as the world around him finally started to light up. There standing in front of him was Risa. She still had the same clothes as before with a bag that carried some equipment as well as clothes on her back. She looked at Alex with those beautiful eyes of hers as she looked questioningly at Alex. But then Alex heard something behind him. As he turned however the world around him changed.

"It's not what it looks like I promise."

In front of him, Layla and jake stood side by side their hands which were interlocked and slowly parted.

"W-what?!"

Alex stumbled back a step as he looked around him. It was the same shop, the same Hayley, the same situation. The world then flashed around him as he found himself staring at... himself? In front of him, he saw himself wrap his hands around Layla's neck squeezing the life out of her. He started to scream out.

"WHY LAYLA WHY"

Alex's best friend lay slumped against the wall with a knife in his chest. Alex collapsed onto his knees and grabbed his head.

"No no no no it was their fault they did this to me why Layla why did you do this to me."

"Because you were weak."

Alex flinched, slowly looking up he saw Risa as well as Layla standing in front of him. They both looked down with disappointment in their eyes as he saw the room split into two different worlds. The left one held Layla who lay on the floor being choked by a shadow and to the right, a shadow held Risa as she slowly died. Alex screamed as he rushed towards them both trying to stop it but the longer he ran forward the farther they got and soon he fell to the ground crying. Pulling his legs close to his chest he whimpered

"Don't leave me again Risa."

"Get up you weakling."

Alex slowly looked up at Risa's face and saw that it had changed. In front of him was a man with a bottom half of pure darkness and top half of red which slowly formed into two horns one red and the other white. It looked down on him as it sighed in disappointment.

"It would seem that I have been bested but it doesn't seem right for me to awake you right now. You must master yourself before you can leave this place."

"W-what do you mean where am I right now?!"

Alex stood up quickly as the memories of Layla and Risa still circled his mind. The Archdemon looked at him with pity as he spoke again.

"You are in the world between dream and reality, to put it in medical terms your in a coma right now."

Alex stumbled back when he heard the words and then slowly locked eyes with the demon.

"Then let me out, why are you doing this to me!"

The demon just shook his head as his body started to fade.

"It would seem that my time is being cut short the seal that she has placed on me is taking effect so I will be using my last power to create something for you."

To the side of the demon, a doll of sorts formed with one eye.

"You will fight this doll of mine and suffer from mental attacks while doing it until you have proven to it that you are ready to come back to the real world. Until then you are stuck here until you die if it comes to it."

Alex just looked in disbelief at the doll to his side as he focused back on the demon. Half of his body has faded by now as he spoke his last few words before fading completely.

"I hope you don't disappoint me, boy make it out of this, and maybe ill give you a gift."

Alex watched as he disappeared and then refocused back on the doll. It had 4 arms on each side and seemed to be made of this black substance. The world around them shifted as he appeared in an open area with a forest surrounding them. The grass waved through the wind as the sun showed down upon them. A warm breeze brushed against his skin putting his peace of mind. Alex then looked at the doll as he got into a stance. He was ready, he had to get out of here to get stronger so he will do just that.

The doll seemingly reacting to Alex's movement flexed two of its arms as it also got into a position. It looked like it was waiting for something. And then it hit, Alex fell to his knees as two memories assaulted his mind. The first being the feeling of betrayal as he wrapped his hands around Layla's neck. The second was him on his knees in the middle of that useless city. He held Risa in his arms as she brushed his face. The color seemingly disappearing from her face as she slowly lost strength. Her eyes closed as nobody came to help.

It was then that Alex felt a blow to his side, the doll had struck him with its fist and it wasn't made by a demon for anything as he was blown across the field. The forest around them seemed to follow as he always stayed somewhere near the center of the field. Alex caught himself by digging his arm into the ground and catching himself with his legs. Looking up he dodged as the doll threw a kick at his face, retaliating right after Alex threw a left kick to its back as it bent to an inhuman degree. Then it happened again, the same feeling except even stronger making Alex throw a haphazard punch which the doll just blew to the side before elbowing him in the stomach. Knocking the breath out of Alex he bounced off the ground a few meters where he landed. Struggling to get up due to the lack of air the doll walked in front of him before delivering a kick to his face knocking him completely out.

But that just seemed to reset the place as he appeared standing in front of the doll once again with the same injuries as before but with the doll in front of him stretching out its two arms. Alex readied himself as he got into his stance once again but he did something different. Closing his eyes Alex let out a deep breath right as the doll hit him but Alex instinctively blocked the arm along with the kick as the memory hit him. He let out a deep audible groan before opening his eyes and grabbing one of the doll's arms before flipping it over his shoulder. Slamming it into the ground, Alex bent the arm until he heard a crack as the darkness that made up the arm showed a little light. Smiling Alex delivered a kick to its face right before the second wave hit once again. Falling to one knee a small gasp came from his mouth as a tear fell from his eye. Seemingly unfazed by its injury the doll stood up with a lightning speed before appearing in front of Alex. Alex blocked with the time he was given but it wasn't enough as he was blasted away with his arm looking like a stairway. The doll followed after him trying to punch him in the stomach before Alex blocked with his hand and used the momentum to turn upright and deliver a knee to the back of its head. Buried into the dirt the doll outstretched another two of its arms as the injured one turned pitch black once again. Using two arms it got up and got into another stance as it looked at Alex who was holding onto his broken arm. Using his strength he bent the bones back into the places as his body was enveloped in a green glow. Letting out a sigh of relief and getting ready Alex dashed towards the doll throwing a right hook.

But then the worst wave hit, Alex screamed out as he lost control of his speed. Falling directly into the doll, it threw all 4 fists like a box where it hit Alex directly into the chest. Alex puked out blood and flew back as his chest caved in. Then he was back in the beginning, All injuries were still there except his chest was healed. It would seem that life injuries would heal but others wouldn't. Kinda dumb but he had to deal with it. Getting ready he once again started to fight the doll.
