The Fate Of The Female Alpha

"Wait so you're saying the Alpha who saved your life was your mate!" Ashley exclaimed making me press my lips tightly at how loud she had shouted it.

I'm not sure I'm okay with any pack members finding out yet, but then she has no idea we all have supper hearing abilities so I don't exactly blame her.

"Uh, yeah," I answered for the umpteenth time. "Oh, my God Lia, that's great," she was ecstatic the complete opposite of what I was feeling.

I couldn't stop thinking about our encounter, and our conversations. His face didn't tell me what he wanted exactly. I'm not sure he wants me back yet, maybe he was only considering because of the power that might grant him so I wasn't sure how I felt about the whole thing.

"Oh my God I'm so happy for you girl," Ashley said plopping herself down beside me and I gave her a forced smile.
