A Friend And A Foe

Ian carried Ilona practically tucked under his arm, and she fought against it, trying to get free as they headed down the hall and away from the Queen's rooms. The Duchess lifted her skirt so she could try to keep up with the pirate's long-legged stride. Even carrying his thrashing older sister, he was quick.

"Let go of me!" Ilona nearly shouted at her brother, her anger making her want to scream, "Do you not see what she did to my face? She's going to pay for this!"

"Quiet Ilona!" Ian hissed, "Do you want to be thrown in the King's Prison?"

"Let me go!" she grew even louder, "That bitch can't get away with this! I am Captain Black!"

"Yes, well, there are several of us, Captain Black's" Ian rolled his eyes, "But if you don't get a handle on your temper and shut your mouth, I can guarantee you there will be one less of us."

"What's going on?" someone shouted at them from the side as they passed another hallway.
