I Shouldn't

Ilona stared at the water and then turned to Mason, swallowing hard.  She blinked and wiped the rain from her face, listening to the far-off thunder.

"You... You want to go in now?  But the dragons..."

"Won't be out because of the rain."

      "But it's cold..."

"I'll keep you warm, love," he smirked, eyes bright with mischief.

      "Mace..."

"Come on," he reached out, catching her hand in his, "We're about to go back to the pirate's cavern, and then I'll barely be able to kiss you, let alone do anything more."

Ilona swallowed again and looked down at his hand holding hers.  The warmth of his skin was already driving the chill from her fingers.  She had no doubt that she would be just fine in the water with her body wrapped around his.
