Third person's POV
"Wait, what would you never do, the alcohol, or a hot steamy night with your hot and handsome husband," Maya asked her friend confusingly...
Glamour only rolled her eyes at her friend before saying, "both" and they both burst into fits of laughter.
Her conversation with her best friend made her forget all about her current plight.
"Did you find the note I left you," Maya asked her friend jumping into another different conversation entirely.
"The one that looked like a stolen quote from your Favourite movie? Well yes I did," Glamour replied to her friend with a smile.
Her smile wasn't just because of what Maya said, it was also because she was genuinely happy to have someone like Maya beside her as she goes through all this.
Even though things felt awfully wrong ever since the decision she made after that night, she still felt there's a safe space that would never leave her whenever she was with Maya and that made her feel her decision to choose their lives over her freedom was worth it.
Glamour didn't regret choosing to marry a stranger because it was a decision she made to keep those she loved safe from harm, however she regrets ever going to that club and playing a stupid fucked up game that put her loved ones life in danger.
However, marrying him was all she promised to do and not anything else.
At that moment, Glamour felt happy, but deep down she knew it was only last for a short while, she still had to go back to the harsh reality that awaited her.
"How do you make someone fall head over heels for you," Glamour asked suddenly breaking the silence that threatened to grow in their midst.
"Ohh, I guess you're looking forward to having a hot and steamy night with Mr hot and handsome," Maya said while wiggling her brows excitedly.
Glamour rolled her eyes and just asked Maya to forget she ever asked.
Involving any other person in this plan of mine might put them in danger, so I'll just keep everything to myself and try to figure things out, Glamour thought to herself.
"Have you written any test since I was absent," Glamour asked Maya, trying to change the subject.
Maya realized what her friend did but she decided to play along. Maya received a call from Hamdi, asking her to come check up on Glamour because she argued with her parents, and that was the reason why she even abandoned what she was doing and rushed over to her friend.
Maya knew of the trauma Glamour had faced when she was little, but they never speak about it, because Glamour never speaks about it with anyone.
"No we haven't but a test is set for next week, but I'm not sure if you guys also have one scheduled, I'll help you call Fred and ask," Maya said, responding to her friend's sudden question.
Fred was a colleague of Glamour, they were both majoring in Events Management, and he was also the only other friend Glamour has aside from Maya.
Maya was majoring in Business Administration because she had to take over her father's company after graduating since she was the only heir to her family.
They sometimes have the same lectures with Glamour, but most of the courses they offered was a little different from each other own.
"Oh, shit I forgot all about Freddie, have you been seeing him in school," Glamour implored, feeling a little apologetic that she had forgotten all about the only friend she had in college aside from her original friend.
"He's been asking me what happened to you and why you've been absent for a long time," Maya said.
"Oh shit, what did you tell him, hope you didn't tell him I got married," Glamour asked with slightly wide eyes, she didn't know how she'd react to him treating her like a married woman.
"Nah, I didn't, I just told him you were sick but you'd be back next week because you're already feeling better," Maya said.
"Oh, okay, but how do you know I'm going back next week," Glamour asked with knitted brows, because even she doesn't even know if she's gonna be able to return to school any time soon.
"I heard Mr hot and handsome stays in San Francisco, so you'd probably wouldn't need to stay in our dorm room anymore," Maya said instead of giving a response to the question Glamour asked.
"Nah I think id still stay in the dorm until we graduate," Glamour said.
And they continued to talk back and forth until the door to the room opened again and Hamdi walked in.
"Hey, girls what are you guys up to"? Hamdi asked while closing the door behind him.
"None of your business you nosey brother," Maya said while flipping her hair at Hamdi.
Glamour always sit back and watch the two of them whenever they're bickering; something they do almost all the time they happen to be in the same location at the same time.
"You know you guys would make the most perfect couple right," Glamour said and they both stopped their bickering and looked at her with a disgusted face.
"Eww are you suggesting a forbidden relationship between siblings," they both yelled at Glamour at the same time and that made her laugh her face off.
When she finally stopped laughing, she looked at their faces and they both had a what's wrong with her look on their face.
"No, seriously you guys bicker even way more than couples at times, " Glamour added after she was able to stop laughing.
Hamdi and Maya both looked at each other and both said "ewe" before looking away, totally condemning the idea.
"Glam, actually I came to give you a surprisingly great news that would completely uplift your mood," Hamdi said and both Maya and Glamour looked at him with excitement in their eyes.
"What's the news," Glamour asked looking expectantly at her brother.
"Well it involves something you totally love doing, and I promise it would totally make you be in a good mood," Hamdi said with a smile while wiggling his eyebrows like the way he always did when he was feeling proud of himself for doing something nice...
