You'll never see what I see,
The world different in my eyes,
My vision impaired to my own reality.
But what defines reality?
To be real,
Something must be
In a state or quality
Of having existence
Or substance.
Is it only because I see them?
That something won't be real
Until the world catches a glimpse?
If I ventured out
Into the furthest reaches of the universe
Where man no longer rules
The realm beyond our knowledge
Where man can't even dream of
Is that false in reality?
Imagination is the rival
Of that which is real
Yet our perception is built
From the dreams
Of our ancestors
Reality cannot be confined
By a definition built by humanity
For everything is a concept
An attempt to be correct
Agreed by the masses
My hallucinations
May rest in my head
But all that you see
All that you think you know
Was once, too,
A hallucination.
A dream, an idea.
Existence.
Reality.
