CIN
LOCATION: DELTA'S HEART/MIND
She slowly made her way to Good-side. Careful not to fall into the void on either side of the stairs. "Remember our plan? Remember the dream? Remember the plan we made when our Grandfather died?"
Delta's expression was cold. "Cin, do not go there."
"What will you do to me?" Cin prodded. "What will you do to yourself?" Her Good-side remained silent.
"We hated God so much because he took our Grandfather!" She let her words sink in. Then she continued. "The Christian God took everything from us. And you think about going back to religion? Going back to Christianity? Why?"
"Pascal's wager is a bit convicting. . .But-"
"Yes, yes, think about it. It's flawed." Cin stated.
"You reminded me earlier of a memory I wish to forget. But you were right. Religion did help us. It saved us from suicide. So that's another reason to come back."
"But will you be able to believe without doubting it so much? And then if you do buy into it again. . .then will you be able to defeat your sins and demons? Will you be able to defeat me? Because I am. . .I am something. A thorn I guess."
"I don't know!" Her Good-side exclaimed.
I am so going to enjoy roasting her. "So then we should stay as an agnostic theist! And not waste our precious time on the religion that betrayed us! Life is short on this earth. We could die today or tomorrow. So we should spend our time wisely? Right? RIGHT?!"
"Yes, you're right we should spend our time wisely."
"Then why the fuck do you think about returning? Doubting your agnostic theist beliefs are we? But wait. . .I said beliefs so do you and I believe it to be a religion? Yes we do but the answer to that it's not a religion. Pascal's wager is flawed it talks about choosing Jesus you have nothing to lose. But you and we have so much to lose. You will have to give up porn. You will have to start being more honest. You will have to change. There is so much at stake in Pascal's wager that isn't mentioned. And because of that. It falls utterly apart. And I am sure we both know it to be true. . .You love porn. You loved and hated it when you were a Christian and you still love and hate it to this day. You conflict over it. Give me full control. And we won't deal with it and many other things that are weaknesses."
"I'll never let you have full control!" Delta snapped.
"We always wanted to be a hero. We always wanted to do the right thing. . .But just admit it Delta, you can't keep this up. You can't beat me. I am your better. Stronger. You're evil. You will give me full control one of these days."
"I'll never give you full control." Delta said coldly. "I know what you plan to do if you had it. I know-"
"Correction!" Cin interrupted her. "It's the same plan we came up with after our Grandfather's death. Before we joined the Christians. The great awesome plan."
"It's not great! It's sick and disturbing!"
"Tsk, tsk, oh, no. What will the Bible study group think of you if they ever found out. That you Delta Gold Adams committed murder in her heart. Against the entire world. And wasn't it in the Bible saying that's murder? If they found out they would be terrified of you. And you will be alone. With no friends. Well, no Christian friends. They will all leave you. Forsaken you will be."
"Maybe some will but not all." Delta countered.
"But how can you be sure of that? Trust me Good-side or should I call you Delta Adams: The One Destined to Be Alone?" Her Good-side began to cry. Of course, she would do that, how predictable. "Good-side, I am the only person that's. . .kind of on your side. But not really." Her Good-side looked up at her and managed to speak through her tears.
"Wow, so comforting. Thanks a lot."
"You're welcome! Cin replied. Shrugging. "What can I say I like helping people."
Delta finally finished wiping the last of her tears away. "You liar!" With both of her hands Good-side snapped with her fingers. In a flash of gold-yellow sparks two gold short-swords were in her hands. Good she wants to fight. I love combat. Because combat is cool. "CIN!" Her Good-side shouted at her. She made sure to retreat. Making some distance between them. She looked at her Good-side.
"You wish to kill me? You wish to empty me out of you? Your darkness. So that you will be perfect? Kill me if you can."
Delta lept into the air. Landing a few steps below Cin. Her impact crushed the stone tiles under her. She's stronger. Reading the Bible paying off. "Fuck," Cin said. I am actually pretty scared but I must not let it show. She's no Christian and she's not following God or this would be over so quickly for me.
She summoned her own blade. A black one. With a snap. Now retreating up the steps. She reached the top. No railing still. So falling off the side could be very bad. Delta came up. Attacking with a thrust. Cin side stepped dodge it. Bringing her blade down hitting Delta's to the ground and out of her hand. The blade crumbled away into chunks. Then turned to dust. From that attack she transitioned quickly into her own thrust. Delta's second blade was there to save her. Parrying the attack. Pushing Cin back.
"You're a bit stronger. But no matter." Delta did a slice. Cin smiled and did a snap with her left hand. A black gauntlet was on her left hand now. She raised it taking the blow. Blood? Her blood dripped. It had cut a bit through. Delta tried to pull her blade out but to no avail. Cin smiled. Thrusting. Her sword into Delta' chest. Her Good-side let go of her blade in a cry of pain. Her blade crumbled away into dust. She let go of her own blade. Letting Delta sink to the ground with a hole in her chest.
"Don't worry, Good-side you will be fine. This isn't reality. This is just on the inside."
"What's that?" Delta questioned. Motioning behind Cin. Cin turned to look. But she knew what it was. A black door. With one word above it. Truth.
"Oh, that's right you forgot about this. This is the truth you locked away."
