Chapter 27: A Magical Encounter

SEAMUS

Day three was to be their last full day on the road before reaching Duncameron. Seamus had expected it to be as uneventful as the other two days, but he was in for a surprise. At midday they stopped by a river to rest the horses and have something to eat.

Not long after they had pulled off the road a group of five riders galloped past heading towards Sunnydale. They had begun to see more people on the road as they drew closer to the larger town, so Seamus did not think this was anything unusual. That was until the guards ordered them to move their wagons into a triangle. Tom was asked to stay out of sight in the middle of the wagons, and the rest prepared to fight.
