Chapter 29: Caught

ALIAH

Travelling in her cramped hiding space was uncomfortable, and it was boring. She had nothing to do for hours on end, and she could not even really hear the conversations of the people around her. At best she could hear muffled voices, at worst there was just the creaking and moving of the cargo around her. Perhaps the only good thing about it was that she was resting a lot and her strength was coming back to her. That and the fact Healer Goodwin's medicine made her sleep often.

The third day of travel was the worst though. The first two days had been relatively short, and by limiting her water intake she had been able to manage by sneaking out at night to take care of nature. But the third day for some reason was much longer. They did not stop until well into the night, and Aliah was bursting. A quick peak out of her hiding place showed her that there were too many people around for her to risk getting out.
