As with the previous morning Seamus woke to the sound of the door opening and the smell of breakfast cooking.


'It is all right to come up and eat,' Walter called down, and left the basement door open for him. 


Seamus tidied up his bedding and stored his pack away, assuming he would have to return to the basement until he had his magic under control. Chores completed, he headed upstairs to the kitchen where he found Walter cooking bacon and sausages.


'You look a little worse off for your trials,' he said. 'That there is the washhouse.' He pointed to a door off to the side. 'I have heated water in a tub for you to wash, and there are some local clothes, kindly donated by some of our supporters. It would be good for us all if you cleaned up before breakfast.'
