'If I may,' Boss interrupted. 'We have confirmed much of Walter's story through other sources. In fact, we believe the king's advisor, Millard, might actually be working with Carsten to set this war up. We are not sure of the exact details, but we are concerned.'


Aliah frowned. 'You know a lot for a farmer who dabbles in transporting goods.'


'Not all people are what they seem.' Boss smiled as if he had a secret to tell. 'I was a captain in the guard until I brought a farm and settled with my Ann. We had a family and I started running caravans on the side to make a bit of extra money. I began to pick up information as I travelled, and some of it was very worrying. Along with some like minded people, I helped form a bit of a network to share what we knew, and now we have a group of people ready to act in the defence of our country against those who intend to bring it to its knees.'
