With Walter leading, Amelia walked the familiar corridors of her childhood home towards the library. Stopping abruptly, she expanded her senses. Something was not quite right.


'Walter, I think someone might be observing the palace. Can you sense anything?'


Walter did not answer straight away, but the air tingled as he sent his magic out to test her theory. The warm glow slowly expanded, then suddenly disappeared.


'You are right. Someone is using scrying to keep an eye on what is going on in the palace,' Walter answered before releasing her arm.


Again she sensed the warmth of his magic, but this time it extended outwards, like a bubble. The sensation of being watched disappeared.
