Chapter 139: A Little Breaking and Entering

SEAMUS

Leaning back against the trunk of a tree, Seamus gazed into the fire. His belly full, he no longer felt such a burning need to enter Wexler's domain. It would be so easy to curl up in a blanket by the fire and get a good night's sleep. Still, a niggling thought pestered him, compelling him to move.

Just as he was about to stir himself to action, he felt a tugging at the edge of his thoughts. Something had been nagging him all day, but this was different. Almost as though someone was knocking to get in.

"Aliah?"

As soon as he thought her name, there she was, inside his head.

"What is it, is there something wrong?" Seamus asked, sensing Aliah was not her usual self.

"No. Well, yes, but nothing you can help with. Nothing to do with our upcoming battle," she was quick to reassure him.
