Allyn walks into the so-called W.G.Q under the guidance of Cosmo.

"Recognition is what you need, isn't it?"

"It is," says Allyn in reply.

"Good, start by completing your first quest, that's the rule," Cosmo said.

"How do I take a quest?"

"Don't ask me, you're already here. Survey the facility, you will find your way one way or the other,"

"If I'm to do that myself, then your coming with me is of no use."

"Look, kid, CrockFace has no idea how things work around here. There is nothing much I can do to help you, that's the truth," Cosmo said.

"Sigh... at least tell me where I can find them. I don't want to be wandering around aimlessly,"

"Every quest has its ranking,"

"The level of difficulty?"

"Exactly. Move to the first room by your left... it's more like a hall. There you will find various letters or posters. This is connected to missions in which mages like yourself are needed,"

"Alright," he walks away.

"Hey, kid," Cosmo quickly called out.

"Yeah?"

"When you've accomplished your first quest, don't forget to ask for my help whenever you need it. For now, all of this is in your hands,"

Allyn nodded without a word and continued onward…

.

.

.

"We need one more to be qualified for this pursuit. What do we do now?"

"Don't ask me obvious questions,"

In a somewhat open hall, there are seven individuals gathered together, five of which are males and the other two are females.

"There's no one willing to join our team, is there?" says another female as she joins the team while chewing on whatever is in her hands. Now there are eight of them, five males and three females.

"Apparently," says a male in reply who seems to be the leader since he's the biggest one among them.

The girls in the group are quite gorgeous... I'm not even sure why I wrote this.

. . .

At the section where rank C quests are commonly seen, Allyn found most of the quests unfulfilling. Plus, they don't pay well, so let's skip this one. Perhaps, rank B will be better, but there is only one way to find out.

He stepped into the next section occupied with other folks who are there for the same reason.

An interesting quest that might suit him best caught his attention, and he picked it.

The quest talks about a park of wolves occasionally attacking the livestock of a small village, which will inevitably turn out badly for the poor farmers who can barely feed themselves. The quest is to eliminate the pack of wolves or chase them away from the village. Making sure they never return.

Wolf's power level: 1skull

Alpha Wolf: 2 skull

This is a way of describing the danger of these creatures or how powerful they are. The higher number of skulls means the more dangerous or powerful it is, so from the looks of it, these wolves aren't that strong, at least, not for Mages, except for the so-called alpha who is a skull stronger they the rest of them.

Wolves work together and this can be a problem, especially since they are not the usual wolves in his world. So, he'll need to be careful.

Though the pay isn't very high, it isn't all that bad either. If Allyn completes his mission, he will be rewarded with two 25.0 Spirit Stones.

One 25.0 Spirit Stone is equivalent to 250 Railwall coins, which makes two of it, 500 coins... Ok, that's kind of small cash. However, within the poster, if you can hand over the core of the Alpha Wolf an alchemist in the city of Magland, you will be rewarded with the sum of 2.00 Spirit Stone. This is equivalent to 2000 Railwall coins... Now that's not so bad, right?

Allyn got interested in this one and chose it for himself…

"Never seen you before,"

A feminine voice resounded just behind him.

"Neither have I," replied Allyn.

He was taken aback by her good looks and since he had little experience with communicating with females; it took him a split second to get control of himself (his mask saved the day).

"Hmm," she scanned him from head to toe.

"Is there a problem?" questioned Allyn. Her intense gaze is making him feel uneasy.

"What is she doing?"

"What does it look like?"

Just a few distances away, these seven men and women quietly stood aside as they watch their female teammate trying to bring Allyn to their side.

"Why don't you just discard that and join us? You will be paid in abundance," the female said, somewhat seductively.

"No, thanks, I'll be taking my leave," Allyn said and tried to walk away from her, as this is wise.

"Don't be like that, bro," says the big dude in the team. Somehow, he had made it to Allyn's location.

"Who are you?"

The big dude is stronger than he is, that's for sure. With that in mind, Allyn already has hands on the two short blades that are strapped to his side.

"I am Nichol and she is Elean," he said in reply and gestured to the lady just beside Allyn.

"Do you necessarily need me in your team? Go find someone else," says Allyn. That these guys aren't keeping their distance even with how scary he's trying to look could only mean they are formidable themselves.

"We've tried to, but no one is interested," says Eleanor.

"Trust me, if you join us, you certainly won't regret it," Nichol reassured.

"What's in it for me?" Allyn asked.

"Whatever we find in there will be shared within us,"

Allyn isn't convinced in the slightest since humans tend to be greedy…

Nichol can still sense Allyn's doubts; "Are you familiar with Dungeon Runs?" he asked.

Well, yeah, Allyn has played many video games featuring such events as Dungeon Run but never expected it in this world.

Treasures of great value are hidden in dungeons which makes it a very worthwhile venture. However, along with great treasures, comes its dangers. I guess the popular phrase saying; "Nothing good comes easy" is entirely true in this case.

"One rule of this dungeon run is that only team numbering from nine to twelve are qualified to enter the dungeon," says Eleanor. "There are currently eight of us. We only need one more to complete it,"

"That's where I come in,"

"Exactly,"

The other guys joined Nichol and Elean. All of them were staring at Allyn in expectancy.

"So what do you say?"

'Well, I can always dump them once I find anything suspicious,' Allyn says inwardly.

"I'll join you guys, however, I won't be discarding my other mission for any reason. If you are not OK with that, then I suppose we go our separate ways," says Allyn.

"That's fine by us," says Nichol, and they all nodded in agreement.

"Haha! finally! a new guy," a slim young boy among them says in excitement.

"Stop being weird, Kyle," says a female on the team. She's giving off a calm aura, a calm but disturbing one at that.

'I should be wary of this one,' says Allyn within himself.

They all walked out of the hall with Allyn right behind. He kept a safe distance, or at least he tried to, except the young boy called Kyle wasn't giving him space.

"Hey, I am Kyle... you probably already know that. May I know your name?"

"It's Shadow," says Allyn in reply.

"Is that your actual name or?"

"It doesn't matter, this is what I'm called,"

"Okay! Okay! I totally respect that," Kyle said. "We are both the new guys in the team, so let's have each other's back if you know what I mean,"

Kyle kept talking as they moved on. It's a surprise he hasn't been kicked out until now...
