There were some students already present in the Training Venue 1, as Paul and Steven sat on the benches nearby. Fortunately, it seems the teacher isn't here yet. It's only a few minutes away before 1:30 p.m. when Paul and Steven arrived. As the time struck, a man with black hair and eyes, and bronze skin, walked towards the venue. As of now, there were 13 students present, besides the two of them. 'It seems the Breeding Class is quite popular with our class', Paul thought as the teacher greeted them.
"Good afternoon class!" The man greeted with a wide smile.
"Good afternoon sir." The class responded, albeit sounding quite sparse as their positions are scattered over the field.
"I hope you had a good lunch. Well, I'm Ethan Camphor, an Advanced Breeder, and I would be your teacher for Breeding Class throughout the school year." He paused in order to ask, "You all chose Breeding Class, right? Sometimes, there are students who went to the wrong minor subjects. I wanted to avoid wasting not only your time, but my time too. So… anyone?" He was answered with silence.
"It seems there are no mixed ups. But if you're shy, you can approach me. It's nothing big, I won't get mad. By the way, you can call me Mr. Camphor, or Mr. Ethan, either is fine; I'm not that strict, so I hope we could be more friendly with each other. I'm only strict when it comes to the treatment with Pokemons, so I hope you all guys proceed with utmost care and caution in this class, alright?" Mr. Camphor asked and was answered with a scattered "Yes sir".
"So, okay, let's start with the subject orientation." Mr. Camphor began. "The Breeding Class, obviously, is a minor subject regarding breeding. Here, I would teach you guys on how to feed different pokemons, observe their growth status, groom them, and also distinguish males to females. I would also teach how to make your own pokemon food with berries, though in the advanced courses in your third and fourth year, they would teach you on how to make Poke Blocks. So… if you're interested, make sure to always choose this class for the next three years too."
As he encouraged the students to take the Breeding Class for their future school years as their minor subject, Mr. Camphor started explaining on what they usually do in class.
"As you know, the school has every Pokemon coming from every region, so they hired different breeders that could take care of the pokemons on behalf of the school. Some of us, like me, became part-time teachers, to show and teach students what we do with the profession of a Pokemon Breeder." Mr. Camphor explained.
"So, usually, we're going to make pokemon foods, taking care of Pokemons, feeding them, taking them to bath, and all things that taking care of a Pokemon entails. It's a good thing if you're already familiar with this, so make sure to approach me so I would know your current progress and categorize your studies accordingly." He reminded, as he proceeded to take them to the Pokemon Deposit Room.
On the other hand, at the Cafeteria, Jake was currently listening to his teacher for Culinary Class, with four students
"Hello, class." A woman with lavender hair and green eyes, and fair complexion, greeted them.
"Good day ma'am!" The five students of 1st year class stated.
"You can call me Ms. Lavender Green, your teacher for the 1st year Culinary Class. I'm a professional chef, who learned not only to make cuisines for our taste, but also cuisines suited for Pokemons' taste. You can call me Ms. Lavender inside the classroom, but Ms. Green outside, is that clear?" She asked gently as the few students replied, "Yes ma'am".
"In this class, you would also learn this too. Actually, there are only four chefs hired for the school, and it's considered a part-time job for us to teach in the Culinary Class. The further you take the Culinary Class, the more complex and difficult the dishes you would learn and would meet the other chefs of the school. So, if interested, continue taking this class until you graduate! Cooking is an important skill, because you could not only treat yourself with great food, but also the people and pokemons around you as well." Ms. Green finished while encouraging students to engage in the Culinary Class.
As both the Breeding Class and Culinary Class ensued, on another part of the Utility Building, in the Library, specifically the Library Lounge; a group of twenty students could be seen chattering in different groups. It could be seen that the students are coming from different years.
Amber was sitting along with Patty to wait for the teacher of the Music & Arts Class. She was surprised at first as she wasn't expecting that this would be a class with other years. Though, to be honest, she's quite interested in how the class would be conducted.
A man entered the library lounge, precise clear steps as he stood in the middle of the class.
"Good day, everyone." The man started, his voice with a unique magnetism spoke out. He has long ash blonde hair, reaching his shoulders, and an ocean blue pair of eyes.
"Good day, Mr. Thomas." The older years greeted him.
"So, for those who might not know me, precisely the five new faces from the first-year class, my name is Thomas Anderson, your teacher for Music & Arts Class. You can call me Mr. Thomas because that is what I prefer. Anyway, this class is a collaboration of students coming from all years of this school, so make sure to communicate with your juniors, is that clear?" Mr. Thomas asked as he look at the older students.
"Crystal, sir." The older students said in unison, a little bit loudly.
"So… for those who newly joined, this class does not distinguish the process between older years and younger years, as we do activities as one. In the first semester, expect for us to mostly be engaged in arts, mostly doing drawings, paintings, and live sketching Pokemons. Those who have pokemons that are interested could join as well. I do encourage for your pokemons to join as this is a good activity to bond with."
He paused a bit before introducing the plan for the second semester. "For the next semester, we start in engaging performances, which would be performed in the Contest Hall. You could expect choir, musical, and drama performances coming from us. Thus, it's important to know what role you and your pokemon want to be in for the next semester. Don't worry, I'll be there to guide you in every activity. I just want you to enjoy and feel the wonder of Music & Arts."
"Well, for now, let's introduce ourselves…" Mr. Thomas droned out as the class started introducing themselves.
Time passed by and the students of 1st year class finished their minor subject classes. Thus, they returned to the classroom for the Adviser Time. While waiting for Mr. Figg to arrive, the class divided into different groups and engaged in their own discussions, while some went to their own activities to pass time.
"Hey, how was both of your class?" Paul initiated a conversation, as he looked at Jake and Amber.
This time, Jake responded first, being quite excited which surprised Paul. "Oh, it was wonderful. Today, we made Curry on Rice, both for us, and our pokemons. Ms. Green's Curry was wonderful, even my Cherubi enjoyed it. Didn't you Cherubi?" Jake asked the small pokemon who was beside him.
"Cheri~!" Cherubi nodded.
"Well, did you cook?" Amber curiously asked.
"Of course, yeah. Though, it wasn't that good compared to Ms. Green's, but she said it was a nice first try. So… I'm quite happy." Jake responded with a smile.
"That's nice." Paul concluded, with Steven nodding in front of him, though both Steven and Amber's seats are currently facing both Jake and Paul.
"How about you?" Jake took the initiative to question Amber.
"It was so interesting! Did you know that me and Happiny had drawn today? However, Happiny got quite impatient as she kept breaking the pencils Mr. Thomas gave us. It worked out in the end though, as I drawn my mom, while Happiny painted herself" She happily recounted.
"We even got complimented by Mr. Thomas! He said that I got a talent in drawing, and that I should continue developing it. Though, he said that Happiny got a nice try, and it's the effort that counts." She laughed as she looked at her pokemon, who was fuming. She had puckered cheeks, looking at Amber with a frown while waving her arms. "Happiny~!!!"
The quartet laughed at Happiny's show of cuteness. After laughing, Amber queried both Steven and Paul regarding their class. "What about you guys? How was the Breeding Class?"
"Well…"
"Umm…"
Steven and Paul started with a filler, respectively, which made the former and the latter chuckle while looking at each other.
Paul responded first, ignoring the still chuckling blue head. "It was interesting. Mr. Camphor led us to the Pokemon Deposit Room to the feed Pokemons originating from Kanto Region. After we retrieved the pokeballs, we came back to the field to let the pokemons out."
Steven supplied Paul's statement after his laughter faded, "Yeah, there were a lot of Pokemons! Around 140 of them. It was interesting as the Pokemons with pre-evolutions all have Everstones. The school's quite generous to keep Pokemons in their pre-evolved forms."
Paul nodded as he continued, "We were able to feed different Pokemons, it was quite fun. He also said that he'll teach us how to make Pokemon Food next time. Throughout the whole class, he shared his experiences and what to take note while being a Pokemon Breeder."
Amber and Jake listened carefully, seemingly interested on the red head and blue head's experience.
After Mr. Figg arrived, the students who discussed in groups rearranged their seats, and stopped their conversations. Mr. Figg asked the class regarding their minor subjects, while also reminding the class to always observe the rules of the school. He let the students again on their own things as he typed away on his laptop. He dismissed the class at exact 3:00 p.m., with Paul, Jake, Amber, and Steven saying "goodbyes" and see you tomorrows" with each other, while being fetched by their respective parents or chauffeurs.
