Bickering at Breakfast!

Hearing this life-saving good news, Somya instantly started leaping happily. She can't be happier. It's like God literally responded to her complaints.

On the opposite side of her house, from the balcony's window, watching her bouncing like this, a beautiful smile formed on a particular someone's face.

Varun sighed and said, "If you are done hopping, Bunny, then go to sleep."

Somya got startled. She bent down on her railing to check if a particular someone's car is still there, but the streets were clear, and there was no car anywhere on the entire street, "huh...Bunny? How do you know I was hoping?"

"You are a Bunny, so you are obviously supposed to be hoping." Varun poked fun at her.

"Humph..." Somya humphed loudly.

Listening to her, Varun's smile grew more.

"Now now, it's late. So be a good Bunny and get inside your burrow to sleep."

"Grrrrr.." Somya grunted like a real Bunny and went to sleep after hanging up with a content smile on her face.

Varun felt relieved and went to sleep too. That night both of them slept well. It's some connections words can't explain.

Next Morning

Somya called him early in the morning and asked him to pick her up. When he asked why, she reasoned with him that he was the one who suggested she leave her scooter in his hospital. So he should at least be responsible for her and give her a lift, just like how a gentleman does.

Varun found his 'Shameless Hooligan' back. He sighed and agreed to her unreasonable reasoning. Of course, he can get her scooter here within a few minutes with just a call, but he won't be able to explain to Somya after that.

So Varun let her have her way. But he decided to tease her too. So he deliberately chose the time when she dances with her anything every day.

Thinking about finally catching her red-handed in the act today, he smirked viciously.

He got ready quickly and arrived at Miss Hooligan's house just in time to find a very popular, soothing song playing and her singing along with it while arranging her things. She was folding her blankets while singing loudly~

~I am the way I am

And I'll stay like that

Now, if someone is happy or upset

I won't change my style

Whether someone understands or not

I'll say this only

I am the way I am

And I'll stay like that~

Somya had already noticed Varun, but she ignored him and kept singing and dancing. Varun thought if she is shameless, then he too shouldn't be courteous. So he came in and seated himself on a stool near-bed by himself.

Somya winked at him and kept singing while combing.

~I am the princess of my heart

And the queen of my own decisions

Why should I put a veil on my head

If it falls then let it fall

I am not fond of mehendi*

Nor of the wedding music

My house for me is just perfect

If the priest is listening then listen

It doesn't seem that I'll agree to marry ever

I am the way I am

And I'll stay like this~

"Done. Let's go," she said while setting her dupatta.*

Varun gets up, but he noticed she isn't carrying her bag,

"Hey! You forget to take your bag."

"Why would I need a bag while having breakfast?" she looked at him as if he is an alien.

"You have yet to have your breakfast?"

"Yeap, so come with me."

"Why?"

"To eat."

"No need. I ate already."

"I don't care. Tell me quickly how much do you eat unless you want me to stuff you with food."

"Hey! You are behaving like an ill-tempered brute."

"1 Parantha or 2?"

"I said I am not eating."

"2 Then," she said while crossing her hands in front of her chest.

Varun didn't say anything, only glared at her.

"I made aloo parantha* especially for you. It's a small thank you from me. Otherwise, I don't cook every day." Somya said while making pleading eyes.

Looking at this 'Overbearing Hooligan' suddenly changing into a 'Wronged Bunny,' Varun sighed.

"Alright. But just one."

"Yes, sir! Right away!" she sprinted towards the kitchen happily.

Meanwhile, Varun surveyed her room. Her room is small but looks comfortable and gives a cozy feeling. Somya had a small study corner in her room. There rests her bookshelf and her study table chair. She had a small bed, and a simple stool near it, a Godrej almirah*, and a small balcony with many flower pots. He didn't saw her dog earlier, so that means it must be out for a walk or something.

Somya came back with two plates having 2 Aloo parathas* and Dahi* placed in two small bowls.

"Here is yours!" she offered him one of the plates with a small bowl in it.

"I asked for only one," he said while making an irritated face.

"Try before speaking. I bet, in the end, you may ask for one more," Somya winked and started eating.

Varun started eating with his irritated face too. But unexpectedly, he found the paranthas great, and worth eating. He ate the food cooked by chefs every day, but he never found a simple parantha so tasty before. Due to his workloads and stress, his eating habits had deteriorated in the past few years and he lost his appetite greatly. So he obviously had breakfast earlier, but his hunger wasn't good, so he didn't have much. But now, he feels his hunger increasing.
