The last world [10]

"my lord please forgive me, I didn't expect that-

"apologizing won't change the fact that you have risked the lives of our alliance members Parzival... Just learn from your mistakes and move on, that is all now leave"

"of course my lord, I won't fail again"

"show me you won't, not tell it" the emperor replied

The kneeling knight was glowing as his pure white armor reflected the nearby light into something like a shining diamond, however his face wasn't shining so brightly like his armor, like soggy bread his face was just pure disappointment in himself and to anyone that looked at him in such a sad state.

As the leader of the royal guards, Parzival was responsible for the security of the royal family including that of every guard that worked for high ranking nobles that had deep connections with the royal family. It's safe to say that even the guards that were inside the throne room also have gotten second hand embarrassment as Parzival was scolded swiftly in front of everyone like a naughty child.

(this US, Russia, France, China and many more... To think that I would encounter such a phenomenon during my rule, I should thank the gods that they are human... The races have been at each other's throat lately) the king thought with his mind fully focused on it, he even ignored the calls he was currently receiving right now

"your excellence! Urgent news! The priestess has experienced a vision!"

A messenger busted through the doors like a soldier storming a room, his uncontrolled breathing and sweating was proof that the message was indeed urgent.

"describe the vision" the emperor asked, ignoring the rude guest appearing ungracefully as he went straight to the point

"th-the messenger from the church informed me that... I should whisper it to you only"

The unprecedented statement wasn't taken well by the guards, including Parzival who was about to leave the throne room but stopped because of the sudden guest. Parzival immediately turned around towards the emperor to see if anything bad happens while his hand was on top of his blood thristy sword.

"very well" the emperor agreed as he leaned forward

The messenger walked the fleet of stairs, his legs becoming more like twigs when he took a single step and every step he took the guards surrounding the emperor became more tense. Especially behind the messenger as he felt a white wolf walking right behind him, he turned around to see Parzival staring at him as he watched the messenger's every movement, even his breathing, like a wolf watching his prey.

Despite Parzival's naturally innocent eyes that gave off warmth, the messenger felt otherwise as he immediately ignored Parzivals death like eyes.

"if I may" the messenger asked

"I'm ready"

Slowly the messenger approached the emperor's ears, drops of sweat slid down his head and his voice was a little shaky too. Who knows, he might be executed if he says bad news.

"doom.. Is what she saw, this threat is extremely dangerous and you must meet her at once without delay, bring the leaders of your army.... That's what the archbishop told me at the magic communications tower just a few minutes ago" he whispered, hoping that the emperor wouldn't do anything to him

"is that so... Parzival, you know what to do"

"on it my lord" he replied as he formed a smile that only a few can see, so unnatural for a dangerous person to smile one could say

"activate the scanning sequence" a mature voice said

The place was no different than your average observatory, just without the usual giant telescope but its function remains just the same. Technology too advanced for the world it was located in, it isn't even weird to say that it was straight out of science fiction.

In front of the woman figure was a massive screen, the contents of it where unexplainable by anyone in this low tech world but it soon was as the screen suddenly showed just a few of star systems in the surrounding area but then it turned into 100, a 1000, then ten thousand, a million, a hundred million then so on and so on while it continued to zoom out exponentially.

The woman who had dark void like hair and deep blue eyes stared at the screen patiently, as human as she looked, anyone who encountered her would find themselves fallen in love but somehow there was something different about her as soon as someone locks eyes with her for even a split second... Well.. you could say that it was definitely an "experience" but it doesn't matter as the priestess is only seen by a select few people and those people would rather keep their mouths shut after encountering her.

"search the de-

-knock-knock-

"priestess! The emperor has arrived, should I prapare the dining hall?" a man outside said in a hurry

"no need... Just bring him here" she replied

With a snap of her fingers the entire room suddenly shifted into a massive bedroom with a good view of the cityscape and oddly enough, the buildings around the area were tall for such a primitive world but they pale in comparison to the massive pure white structure right in the middle. Elegant in nature with tall spires pointed up towards the blue sky, covered with artificial waterfalls and forest, clean and smooth architecture, it was practically heaven on the mortal world.

(I wonder why my brother is taking so damn long to come back? I don't want anymore complications... Especially now) the priestess thought with a slight bit of anger building up inside her

A gust of wind went inside her quarters, throwing away papers and messing up her hair however she felt nothing other than a tingly feeling and it definitely wasn't some cold air touching her smooth skin, but mana.

The entire area was filled to the brim with Mana, every where you went there was some sort of magical device, if not then perhaps another magical device! Or even a tamed magical beast!
