The Wolf prowling across dimensions by Pandora's Reader

Highschool of the Dead & My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア Xover Rated: M, English, Family & Adventure, [OC, Rika M., Shizuka M., Saeko B.], Words: 820k+, Favs: 1k+, Follows: 1k+, Published: Nov 17, 2021 Updated: Nov 9 779Chapter 64: An arrow to the heart

You know the drill I've got a p-reon and all that. Anyway, gonna do a double upload today, so, yeah.

Blazer - I'm so tempted to make an Omake about that, I really am.

Red - I might not do it since I've done one before, but if I do, it'll be far in the future.

{30 minutes later. Maccillian's POV}

The date was a massive success in my, and probably Hestia's, book. I even managed to get some pictures and even a pair of videos from the whole thing. It was all in all, a great time.

Though, like all good things, other then me, it had to end. We couldn't stay there, and after some time, started leaving.

On the way home, Hestia rode on my back, and practically merged with it. Like, I was sure it was impossible to get any closer to me, unless she literally fused with my back. That's how happy my little goddess was.

Anyway, other then that, nothing was going on.

The run back was filled with comfortable silence, and it was only when we got back to Orario's walls, and I had shifted back, that Hestia spoke up. "Maccillian?" Looking up, cause she was on my shoulder again, Hestia was giving me one of the brightest, and most love filled smiled I was sure I'd ever seen. "Thank you... For everything."

I gave my little goddess a smile at that. "You're welcome mo bhandia." Her smile only brightened at that, and I idly wondered if I would get diabetes from it.

Shaking that off, I turned back to the gates, the guards already knew me, so there wasn't a fuss from them, and walked in.

The streets didn't seem any different, but for some reason, I felt like there was something wrong.

Keeping my ears open, I searched for any rumors, other than Rika being a slut because those were still floating around for some reason, to find out why I was feeling what I was.

And after a few minutes, I found it. "Wasn't that Lady Artemis earlier?" That was all I heard, but it was enough.

Pausing on the walk home, Hestia gave me a look. The question was clear in her eyes, so I answered. "Artemis is in Orario." Her eyes widened, and she started grinning.

"REALLY!?" I gave her a flat look at that, and pointed at my ears. She blinked, then gave me a sheepish smile.

"Sorry Maccillian." An eye roll later, and I started walking again. "But seriously? Arty's here?" I mentally snorted at her nickname for Artemis. Athena was Athy, and now Artemis was Arty. My little goddess was unoriginal in her nicknames.

But back to the conversation. "Yeah. Unless the guy I heard that off of was just chatting shit." Hestia snorted at that.

"He better not! I haven't seen Arty in ages!" Then she gasped for some reason, and I raised a brow at her. She looked so excited, and I didn...- "We can get the trio back together! Arty, Athy and me! The terrible trio reunited again!" Nevermind.

Though, thinking about it... "Weren't you three called the virgin goddesses?" That knocked the wind out of her sails, and she practically deflated.

"... Did you HAVE to bring that up?" A hum and a grin were my answers to that.

Hestia just deflated even more at that, and it was great. "THIS is the man I've fallen for... Great." I snorted at that.

"Love you too mo bhandia." She looked at me, and the smile that sprouted onto her face was nice.

"Hey Maccillian?" Raising a brow, and nodding for her to go on, she did. "Can you say that again?" Huh?

"I love you?" She rolled her eyes at the question, but her smile was here full force. "So... Why?"

Hestia hummed a bit, then started kicking her feet. "... It's kind of embarrassing if I say it outloud... So...-" She paused, and looked away. Though I could see her start to blush. ~It uh... It feels REALLY good to hear that, and know that you REALLY mean it...~

I looked up to her at that, and I swear I had the biggest shit eating grin on my face imaginable. Seeing my little goddess blush even more as I did, and I couldn't stop myself anymore. "AWW! I LOVE YOU TOO MO BHANDIA!" I knew everyone on the street turned towards us, but I didn't give a shit. This was one of the best situations to fuck with her, and I was going to capitalize on it.

My shout surprised my little goddess, and she froze as the gazes of everyone around us landed on her. I could practically feel the embarrassment radiate off her, and when her twin tails started whirring, I laughed. Sure that might've gotten me some aggressive bonking, but it was worth it. ~I'M GOING TO GET YOU FOR THIS MACCILLIAN!~ My laugh turned into an outright wheeze at that. Hestia kept bonking me for that, but I just didn't care. I kept on walking, head held high, and laughing like a maniac.

It was great.

Then my laughter got cut off when I felt a god come up to us. I didn't recognize who it was, so I looked ahead of me, and paused. Hestia noticed I stopped, and looked ahead to see why. And when she did, her face lit up. "ARTY!" Yup.

Artemis... The final 'Virgin Goddess' and person we were talking about earlier, was standing in front of me She looked exactly like her movie counterpart, and sported a smile as she looked at Hestia. "Hello Hestia. It's good to see you too." My little goddess almost started bouncing on my shoulder, and after giving me a look, I grabbed her, and set her down. She didn't even make a comment about me treating her like a child, and opted for running over to hug Artemis.

Said goddess blinked, reciprocated the hug, then looked at me. I didn't know what to expect here, but getting a smile from her gave me a good sign. "I've heard some things about you. Yo...-" And that's as far as she got before Hestia broke off the hug, and grabbed her by the hand.

"THAT'S RIGHT! Arty, meet Maccillian! Maccillian, say hi."

Raising a brow at my little goddess, I humored her and waved at Artemis. "Dia dhuit." Both goddesses blinked at that, and Hestia returned my raised brow. "What? You didn't say it had to be in common. Besides, you both understood it."

She went 'uhuh' then turned back to Artemis, who was watching the interaction with an interested look in her eyes. "Don't mind him, he's just weird like that." Oh really?

Humming, I reached for my scroll, an action Hestia noticed, and hummed a little more playfully as I went to my gallery. "'Weird' she says. Let's see... Where's the chipmunk." Hestia's eyes widened to comical degrees, and she practically teleported in front of me. Too bad I saw her coming, and raised my scroll out of her reach. "A little slow there mo bhandia."

She pouted, and started jumping up, trying to reach my scroll. "Don't do it Maccillian! Just gimme the scroll!" Her efforts were in vein, and only served to feed into my wicked amusement.

Said amusement grew as I found the 'chipmunk' picture, and cackled as her face paled. "Well lookie here. Ain't this the damnedest thing?" The 'chipmunk' picture was basically Hestia, with her cheeks stuffed after absolutely INHALING a bacon egg and cheese I made. Being able to make and control your own fire made it easy to cook/heat those three to perfection.

The picture made Hestia's cheeks burn, and seeing her whip her head around to Artemis, who had this slightly melancholic look in her eyes, but also a happy smile on her face, made Hestia's embarrassment reach new heights. "Arty... Not a word... Please?" Said goddess gave her a kind smile, and shook her head.

"I think not." And so my little goddess sagged.

"Why meee?" A snort from me, and a chuckle from Artemis were the answers she got to that.

Putting my scroll away, and bringing Hestia back onto my shoulders, well, I tried too. Before getting to my shoulder, she decided to reposition herself with my head between her legs. I looked up at her, blinked when I saw the pout on her face, and just decided to roll with it. So putting my hands on her legs, I looked back to Artemis. The look of melancholy on her face was there again, just more pronounced. (Oh yeah... Her whole thing with love... I'll throw Bell at her when he comes back... Hopefully, he still qualifies for Artemis' arrow thing.) I was pretty sure he would, but if he didn't, I'd have to figure something else out.

That aside, I focused on Artemis, and gestured in the direction of our home. "Come on, you two can catch up at home."

And that brought Hestia back to her usual levels of happiness. "Yeah! Onwards my favorite steed!" She followed that with kicking her feet forwards, and pointing ahead of us.

I looked up at her, with a raised brow and grin. Instantly, she knew something was wrong. Too bad I moved in before she was ready. "If you wanted to ride me so badly, you just need to ask." She spluttered, went red from the neck up, and tightened her legs around my neck. Wrong move. "Kinky." That did it. Hestia groaned in embarrassment, and buried her face in her hands.

I laughed my ass off at that, and kept it up through her mumbling. "Just... Let's... Just take us home Maccillian." And so I did.

Artemis followed us, and I kept an eye on her.

Seeing my interaction with Hestia, I was pretty sure Artemis was craving something like this... And I kinda felt bad. (Yeah. I'll need to throw Bell at her. Let's just see if he sticks.) That said, we walked back home.

{2 hours later}

When we got home, the house was still empty, so it was just me, Hestia, and Artemis.

Since we were going to be on our own for a while, we assumed no one was gonna drop in, and no one had, we decided to talk.

I say we, but it was mostly Hestia and Artemis talking while I laid my head in Hestia's lap. I was in wolf form, casually chewing a Spartoi bone I reinforced, and was feeling lazy, so sue me. Out of all the girls, Hestia was #2 in the 'best pets' department, when I was on the receiving end, so I enjoyed the affections.

Fun fact, Artemis also gave good pets, so I was living the best dog life possible. Well, I would've been if the other girls had been here, but it was what it was.

While that was happening, Artemis filled Hestia in on why she was here. Even though I kind of knew the story from the movie, hearing about it was different. Granted, I was pretty much indifferent about the 'My familia is gone' aspect of it. Sure that was pretty fucking bad, but I didn't know those people, so the fuck was I supposed to care about them for?

But when Hestia heard how Artemis had lost her entire familia, my little goddess practically crushed Artemis with the hug she gave her. They even needed some time to just let Artemis cry for a bit. Not to feel like a dick, I decided to help by making aura puppies for her, because puppies make everything better, and waited for when she was ready to go on.

It took her some time, but she managed to get it together. She appreciated the gesture, and gave me some pets for the puppies.

After that was when she got into the whole thing Hermes was helping her with. The 'pull my arrow out of the ground and you're my soulmate now. Also, help me kill the monster that killed my familia.' Thing. Hestia was interested in the first half of that, mainly because she knew about Artemis' whole 'LOVE IS EVIL!' Thing... (Ok. I don't think it was THAT bad, but maybe it was.) The two of em talked about that, and I did my best to not just say 'It's Bell.' It was going to be a surprise, for the both of them I was sure... (Again, unless I'm wrong. But I shouldn't be.)

After moving on from THAT topic, Artemis asked my little goddess about her, and how everything's been going for her. That had made my little goddess practically GLOW in happiness. And she started talking about her life since she descended. She started with her staying with Hephaestus, the eventual boot said goddess gave her, the job at the potato shop, and eventually, she made it to the meeting of Bell, Shizuka, and me.

Which led to where we were now. "And then we went over to Take's place t...-" She stopped, and we both turned to the door, since we picked up someone coming, and watched it open.

"I'm homeee!" And in came Shizuka. She was on her own, but that was fine. The kids, and hounds, were going to spend the night in the dungeon, maybe a few days, so it was normal for them not to be here. Shizuka walked in, and blinked when she saw Artemis. Then, we blinked, and she practically materialized next to Artemis. "Hiii. I'm Shizuka, who're you?"

And so started the introduction of Shizuka into the conversation. They went over some of what Artemis already brought up, like the whole familia thing. Hestia had given Artemis her support, which she appreciated greatly, and went into the story.

After that, and a repeat of the whole bone crushing hug, Shizuka edition, the topic shifted to the event she was having set up. "If everything goes well, I'll have found my Orion, and gained help in order to avenge my familia." Artemis sounded real hopeful for both of those things, and that made me mentally hum.

(The monster... Hmm...) Like I said earlier, I was feeling lazy, and didn't wanna go off on an entire quest to deal with it. Besides... (I don't really NEED to follow the script either...) Thinking along those lines, I grinned. [Party invite Liliruca Zaka.]

A moment later, my daughter accepted. ~Hi Papa!~ Now I could've invited Bell, but I'd rather the only male voice in my head be mine, so I settled on my daughter.

[Hey smols. How's the dungeon going?]

~It's going. Mari's lecturing Welf and Black right now.~ I blinked at that.

Black and Welf got along great. Maybe a little great in some situations. [What'd they do this time?]

I could practically see Lili sigh at the question. ~Welf said he could beat Black in an arm wrestling contest, so they decided to have one on the 18th. Welf won the first one, but Black said 'best of three,' and after winning the second one, the two of them went for the final round. Things were going fine, but when it looked like he'd lose, Black transformed, which made him win... But then WELF transformed, and went for another round... Which may or may not have ended up in the two of them deciding to just fight it out when neither of them were winning. Mari stopped them, so now the both of them are stuck in Welf and Black shaped holes in the ground while Mari lectures them about being stupid.~ I blinked again, and just took that in.

Out of the hounds, Black was the biggest trouble maker of the bunch. Houndoom was one too, but he was more of an annoying menace then someone that would cause issues. Not to say Black was that bad, cause he wasn't, he just liked to cause way more problems then any of us.

Then there was Mari. Again, for a hound that spent most of her time with Shizuka, she was all about order, and wielded the most authority when it came to the rest of her pack. Hell, she tried to lecture Shizuka once, and after succumbing to the power of Shizuka's petting, she never tried it again.

Anyway, back to the present. [Sounds like them. Anyway, think you guys can come back home in a few hours? We got a guest for Bell.]

Lili sent the equivalent of a '?' but sent another reply a second later. ~Um, we CAN... But Houndoom and Black are going to be annoying about it.~ Ah...

[I'll deal with it. Anyway, have a good time and stay safe smols. Love you and all that mushy crap.]

~Kay! We'll be home later Papa. I love you too!~ I smiled at that, and internally nodded.

[Anyway, talk to you later.] She sent a mental wave, and I disbanded the party. After I did, I zoned back into the room, and saw Hestia and Shizuka looking at me. I still had a smile on my face, one they both recognized, so I'd have to explain. 'Surprise for later.' They both 'hmmmd' me, and I rolled my eyes. 'Be patient.' The both of them kept up 'hmmm'ing at me, so I tuned it out. 'I'm gonna go to sleep.' It was the easiest way out, and one I enjoyed.

So with that said, I closed my eyes, and zoned out enough to fall asleep.

Though I did wonder what Lili was doing.

{Lili's POV}

After Papa disbanded the party, Li...- I, turned back to the chaos. (Chaos is too strong of a word... But it still fits, so oh well.)

Trix and Ryoshi were helping the idiots out of the holes Mari punched them into. All the while said woman was still lecturing them. "Honestly, just what was going through those walnut sized organs you two call brains? This is the dungeon you fools! You must treat it with the upmost caution!" Seeing Mari berating them was always fun.

Sure she might've been a little intimidating the first time we saw her, but after getting to know her, and the rest of the hounds, we all grew to like her and them.

Mari was a woman as tall as Papa, and second tallest among the hounds. She had smooth white skin with long flowing black hair, and eyes just as brown as Best Mama's. She was also wearing the same type of sandals Papa wore, pants the same color as her hair, and a dark blue Kimono. Her gauntlet covered arms were crossed under her 'DD' breasts, (Still unfair! Grrr.) And she kept on tapping her foot as she spoke. Like Best Mama, she was a power type, and was VERY dangerous up close.

"I don't know why you're still trying big sis, we all know they're too stupid to get it." Trix KIND of had a point. The two of them liked to compete or be stupid so much, it was like a way of life for them .

Speaking of Trix, she was maybe an inch or two taller then Bell, and was like his opposite. She had black hair that stopped at her shoulders, light blue eyes, one of which was scarred, but actually looked good on her. She wore a blue 'crop top,' that showed off her 'B' cup breasts, which were getting extra attention because of the strap of her halberd was in between them, and abs. Her 'pants' were short shorts that showed off her toned legs and butt. Trix liked being barefoot, so she was. She was also a speed type, like we were.

Mari reacted by going 'hmph' and tapped her foot a little harder against the ground. "Because they must know their actions are both unbecoming of being an adventurer, and are completely foolhardy. Especially in the dungeon!"

A snort from our side, which turned out to be Houndoom, who also went by Hou when he wasn't in Hellhound form, caught all of our attention. "Relax Mari, we're on the 18th. This place is safe again. There's no reason to get your panties in a twist." Mari's eye twitched, and her aura started to leak out, threateningly. Hou got the threat, and held his hands up in surrender. "Right right..." Then he grinned. "Forgot you don't wear any." That did it.

Mari's ears and tail twitched along with her eye, then she slammed her foot down on the floor, sending a wave of earth and aura at Hou. He jumped up, and made an aura platform to land and sit on. He started kicking his feet, and had a very Papa like grin on his face as he looked down to Mari, who was glaring at him with all the annoyance she could muster. "You insufferable man." Hou's grin only grew, and his tail swayed around in amusement.

Speaking of Hou. Like all the hounds, he had black hair, which he kept short and spiky, with white skin. His brown eyes shone in amusement and mischief, and his grin showed off the freckles on his cheeks. A fun fact was that Hou was the same height as Bell, and he had complained for an hour straight about it. He also wore a black fur coat, black pants, and just like Trix, was barefoot. His weapon of choice was a great sword, bigger then him, strapped to his side. He was a stamina type too.

"I will always find the image of our shortest, antagonizing one of our tallest, highly amusing." Cinder, who was sitting next to L...- Me. She had a smile of amusement on her face that could rival Hou's,

Cinder was the third tallest of the hounds, when she wore her heels, which she was, and stood as tall as Best Mama did. Without them, she was as tall as Big sister Saeko. She had red eyes almost as striking as Bell's, but closer to Mama Rika's. Her hair was braided and over her shoulder, and like Big sister Saya, she wore a Qipao. But hers was red with gold accents. As an aura type, Cinder didn't carry a weapon, but preferred to make one whenever we prepared for, or started combat. She really liked bows, so that was her signature weapon.

Tearing her eyes away from Hou, Mari gave Cinder a look, which went ignored, and sighed. "And as I've said before, you have quite immature sense of humor Cinder. We are not here for fun and games."

Cinder rolled her eyes, and turned back to me. "So little Lili, what did the alpha want?"

That got everyone's attention, and suddenly, all eyes were on me. If this was before Papa, before being given the best family Lili... (We give up. 3rd person it stays.) If this was before that, we might've been been worried at having eight pairs of eyes on us.

But not now. "Papa want's us to head home later. Says there's a visitor for Bell." Everyone blinked at that, then turned to Bell.

He looked confused, and shook his head. "I don't know." A great source of information he was.

"Ugh... Think it was for that book ya found? The magic one?" Black, who was shaking dirt, dust, and debris out of his hair.

Black was the tallest, and was the bulkiest of us all. He was a few inches taller then Papa, and built like a mountain. With shoulder length spiky black hair, obsidian black eyes, he had broad shoulders and muscles shown to the world since he didn't wear a shirt. He settled for long fur pants, and went barefoot. Like Hou, he was a stamina type, and wouldn't stop when he got going.

Black had a point, for once, since Bell HAD 'found' a magic book a few days ago. After reading it, he got a magic skill called 'Firebolt.' The day he got that skill, Welf made a joke about Bell learning how to wield a bow, and we'd be set. It may have been a joke, but it was true. Bell was a front liner, could be a healer with Best Mama's flames, already had ranged options with aura, but more now with magic. All he needed was to ability to use a bow, and he could be a one man party.

Bell. The one man party.

That thought made us snort, and we shook our head.

Mari cleared her throat, and brought our attention back to her. "Whatever the case, it would be wise to follow the words of our alpha. All in favor of diving to the 24th, and returning after an hour or so?" Mari was the voice of reason/authority, and vice party leader. But the majority still had to agree.

We all looked to each other, and started nodding. "Lili is fine with it."

"I don't mind." Bell.

"Sounds good to me." Trix.

"Eh, sounds good enough." Black.

"Don't really care, but sounds like a plan." Hou.

"If it's what our big sister decrees, who am I to disobey?" Cinder, who got a raised brow from Mari.

"I'm with the boss lady." Welf.

"... Ok." Ryoshi. He wasn't really one for words.

Speaking of him, Ryoshi was the image of an assassin. Standing at Welf's height, he had a black cowl, top, leggings, and like most of the others, barefoot. It was difficult to see his face most of the time, because he almost always had his hood up. But when it was down, one could easily say he was handsome. Granted, he wasn't Lili's type, but we could still appreciate his face. He was also a speed type, so if anyone or thing lost track of him, they were in trouble.

Mari nodded, and clapped her hands. The sound of metal on metal was loud, but none of us minded. "Very well. Let us advance!" And off she went. We followed along, but sent Welf a grin as we mouthed a word to him. 'Loser.' He started grumbling at that, and we snickered.

We wouldn't let him live it down.

[Omake - Delivery! Hermes' POV a few hours later]

Heading up to Freya's floor was always the tiniest bit nerve wracking. Sure, I didn't have any reason to expect something would go wrong, but it never hurt to have a bit of fear in your heart when you dealt with Freya. The woman knew what she wanted, and she would do ANYTHING to get it.

Hell, it was easy to picture her backstabbing an acquaintance in order to further her own goals. Even if said acquaintance was a god.

More specifically a handsome and super friendly messenger god.

Which is where the fear of Freya came in handy. The MOMENT something felt off, all contingencies were in play. I wasn't going to go back to Tenkai without a fight. (Cure all is sitting nice and snug in my pocket, my super poisonous and blessed dagger in my boot in case Ottar tries to manhandle me, and a good ol mana bomb in case I gotta go out in a bang... Huh... Maybe I SHOULDN'T be thinking about this right now.) So shaking those thoughts out, I walked up to Freya's floor, and went over to her door. The guards nodded at me, since thankfully, they were expecting me. I sent a message to Freya that I had her, and Ishtar's, orders. (Good going past me.)

The guards knocked on her door, and after a second, I heard Freya's voice. "Ottar, be a dear." And wasn't THAT a power play. The ability to just send out the only level 8 in all of Orario, if not THE WORLD, to open the door...

(Though he's not the strongest in Orario now is he?) That thought was a true one, I KNEW it was, but now wasn't the time to have it. Freya still had one of the most powerful assets at her disposal, and I had to tread carefully around it.

Though while I was on the topic... (Maccillian Silver Zaka...) I was conflicted about that man. He made things easier and harder at the same time.

Easier, because I heard how Zeus' kid(This is just how Hermes refers to Bell.) Had reached level 3 in a months time, and become a Werewolf.

Harder, because I couldn't do anything but hear it happen. I knew him, and his very fine women, knew I'd spied on them before. Sure they might not have known it was me specifically, but because they knew, I couldn't risk observing him, or going anywhere near Bell. I couldn't even risk using magic since they might sense it.

And if not them, then their goddesses certainly would. So because of him, and the women, I couldn't go meet with Bell.

Or Hestia.

Or Athena.

Or Loki.

Hell, intentionally or not, the guy screwed up so many plans, it wasn't even funny. Honestly, I didn't know whether to thank the guy for training Zeus' kid, shake his hand for living the dream, or punch him in the face for messing up everything.

I couldn't even keep up my internal monologue, since the door opened, and I came face to face with Ottar. He kept the impassive face I'd always seen, and ushered me inside.

Walking into Freya's room, it always took a lot of my control to not give into a baser instinct. Her room was laced with a subtle charm magic, one that would subtly make you want to do what she wanted. To give in to her.

Though it wasn't THAT powerful.

It was only a threat if someone kept coming in, and kept getting exposed to it.

It would start out small, making you appreciate the way she smiled, or the way she sat.

Then it would lead to a desire to see that smile, to want to make her laugh. It was the little things like that.

But another few stages would make you start compromising.

And it would all go downhill from there. Thankfully, things like that didn't work on other gods or goddesses. Though that didn't mean the incense, which was a subtle aphrodisiac, didn't work. Because it did. I just had to focus on myself to keep the little messenger in check.

That aside, I walked over to Freya, and gave her a smile as I dug into my satchel. "Hello my lady." I fished out the item and its container, and placed it on the desk. "One Mermaid heart as ordered." Freya hummed, and reached out to it.

The moment she had it in her hands, her eyes gleamed in delight, and then she turned them to me. "Well done Hermes. But, I believe there's more for me." And she was right.

Going back into my satchel, I grabbed the other item, and laid it on the table. "One Killing Stone, as paid for by my lady." This was a weird one.

Normally, that would've gone to Ishtar.

But after the 'War Game' between Ishtar familia and Maccillian, Freya swooped in on the opportunity, and paid me double for it. Ishtar didn't have the money for it anymore, she was still in debt from getting all those magic swords, so SOMEONE had to pay for it.

Now, I had no idea who she was going to use it on, but at the same time, I wasn't going to question it.

It was clear to me that she was going to go after Maccillian and his women, and that was a rabbit hole I was NOT going be anywhere near. (She will fail.) I couldn't help that traitorous thought, and I couldn't exactly deny it either. I, and every single god and goddess in Orario had felt the sheer depths of his power, and we knew it was too much. So knowing Freya was after them, all I could do was sit back, and watch as the chaos unfolded.

"VERY good Hermes." Freya's voice, and her next action brought me out of my thoughts. I saw the hunger in her eyes, and the way she re-positioned herself. I knew what was coming next. "Ottar, leave us for now. I believe our guest has earned his reward." There was a grunt from Ottar, and I watched as he left the room. With him gone, it was just me and Freya. And I was looking forward to this. "Come Hermes. Claim your reward."

I couldn't stop the gulp I made when Freya took off her top, and beckoned me to her. I COULD'VE stopped my legs from going over, but I didn't. (I can watch the chaos unfold later. Now... Now's the time to get up close and personal.) Sometimes, it was good to be the messenger.
