780Chapter 100: Deicide, The Goldening
The big one hundo is here. It was unintentional to have this chapter specifically to be the whole fight with Zion thing, but it just happened. I didn't expect for this story to go on for as long as it has either, it was just supposed to be a side project before I went back to my first book(And oh god is THAT first attempt of writing ROUGH) but here we are, 100 chapters into a 700k+ word story.
Might go on an actual break for a bit though because holy fuck is this a lot.
{Maccillian's POV}
Despite coming to Tír na nÓg multiple times, I'd never actually described the setting my Noble Phantasm took. Firstly, I was back in my old outfit. Said outfit being the coat I'd given Rika, and fur leggings. Secondly, I was on my throne, overlooking the empty field where my advisors and the rest of my people would've been. Granted, there was only one person here, but I'd get back to her afterwards. The rest of the area was reminiscent of the highlands where the Werewolves lived, but it was also MORE. The forest was full of life, the sounds of all kinds of wildlife filled my ears, the scent of the wilds filled my nose, and being here felt RIGHT.
Shaking that off, I turned my senses to Zion, who was with The Thinker's corpse, near Vampire territory. An interesting thing about my Noble Phantasm was that it forced my enemies to start out at/near that area, while I would always start on my throne. It seemed like he wasn't moving from that area though, either 'defending' The Thinker's corpse, or trying something. I wasn't going to just keep him waiting though, and gradually got off my throne, and walked down to the clearing. As I made my way down, I mentally called upon my Wild Hunt, which had automatically begun forming all around the forest, just waiting for me to command them.
Soon, the first of my hounds began coming, and the sounds of hundreds if not thousands more resounded through the forest. But I didn't pay them much mind. My focus was only on the sole figure that was with me ever since I'd first found my Noble Phantasm. She was in her all white regalia, red hair up in it's signature ponytail, and looking as serious as she always did. The only thing different about her was the red focus hanging from her left ear, in the shape of a fang. "You're coming along, aren't you, Garda." Even though that was phrased as a question, we both knew it wasn't.
The figure of my most loyal ally gave me a soft smile, and nodded. "Where my king threads, I will faithfully follow." Even through death, she still followed me, and I was thankful for it.
I nodded back at her, and looked out to where I KNEW Zion was. "After this, remind me to introduce you to my new daughters." I noticed the way she perked up at that, and internally chuckled. (Wonder how she'll react to Missy and Mami.) Just the thought of Garda meeting the sassy blonde, who was as much of a warrior as we were, and the Magical Girl that was stronger then people gave her credit for, filled me with amusement.
Garda smiled, and gave me a warrior's salute as she replied. "Yes, my king." I gave her a nod, and started walking forwards, Garda faithfully following behind me as more and more of my Wild Hunt joined us. When we were in business, she led my Wild Hunt, while I lead her.
Originally when we discovered Garda, or the echo of her in my Noble Phantasm, we were stumped. She didn't seem to know what had happened after her death, and that left me to talk to her about everything. It was weird. Again, I'd long since accepted my history as Muzaka, but having someone there that knew of my time as him was something I hadn't ever expected. I couldn't say it wasn't nice though, because it was. It also helped rid me of any lingering guilt for her death.
I, as well as the others, wanted to do something for her, but we found that no matter what we did or tried, she couldn't leave Tír na nÓg. Even awakening her aura, which worked, and adding her to the Silver Clan, which also worked and made it so she could communicate with me whenever she wanted too, she just couldn't leave. We had no idea if it was because she was bound to my realm, or if it was because of some weird Fate rules or something, so, we settled for the next best thing. We visited her from time to time, letting her and the rest of the pack get to know each other. It was easy to see the occasional bout of sadness in her eyes or stance whenever I or the others mentioned our family, but she was doing well to move passed it. She did love our kids though, and was pretty much overjoyed to be named their godmother, which we all thought was the least we could do.
Anyway, now wasn't the time to think on that stuff.
Picking up the pace, Garda and I shifted, and began running towards Zion. And as we did, I barked a command for my focus, because what would a final boss fight be without some music? 'Focus, play Warriors, 2014 version.' My focus beeped, and the song began to play. (Note to self, give Saya a good time for making our focus' work with barks.)
As we ran, I could hear Garda lightly hum along with the song, and knew she would probably put this on her own playlist after we were done with Zion.
It was when we were reaching the borders of my territory that Zion made his move. At that point, there were at least a few thousand 'wolves' among my Wild Hunt, and my Sword of Damocles was hanging above us, which was suddenly blasted by a golden beam from the other side of the area. The beam hit my Sword, and the sound of metal crashing against metal filled the area. Surprisingly, my Sword radiated aura, and protected itself from the beam... All on its own... (Interesting.) I'd have to bring that up with the others later, since no one has ever been stupid enough to attack my Sword of Damocles before. Anyway, my Sword held, and after the beam dissipated, revealed itself to not even have a scratch. I smirked at that, ignored the fact it took about 5% of my aura to take repel that, and snapped towards Zion, who despite looking impassive, seemed to have this feel of confusion around him. (Guess nothing's survived his 'fuck you' beams like that before. Nice.) I felt my aura refilling already, Spirit Healing at S rank was broken, considering it only took 30 seconds to refill that 5%.
Seeing his first assault failed, the golden god turned his attention towards me and my Wild Hunt, and began firing towards us. 'Break!' Garda followed my order, and so did my Wild Hunt, though not everything got away from bulldozer wide beam of death. The fact it gored my realm and destroyed a portion of the forest pissed me off a bit, so I let my aura flash to life, and decided to start this off right. 'Garda, head for the fallen corpse, and wait for an opening!'
'Yes, my king!' With her response given, I had my circuits flare, and cast Reinforcement on myself. It was the only Magecraft spell I knew at the moment, and served as a 2x multiplier to my physical attributes. Pair that with my Wrath, and I was essentially in my Enhanced Amphisbaena form, but as a normal Gray Wolf... Which I wasn't going to be any longer, as I accelerated faster and harder then the ground could take, and howled as I kicked off the ground, flying towards the golden god. Said 'god' didn't seem phased as my form reached his, and blasted me with another one of his Stilling beams, which was blocked by my aura.
Though, just because it was blocked, didn't mean the force of the attack didn't do anything. I was sent flying back a few miles, but stopped myself by anchoring my gravity to one spot. Making platforms beneath my feet, I met the nonplussed looking alien, and narrowed my eyes. (He was depressed just a minute ago, the fuck did he do?) I didn't know, but if he was going to take this nonchalantly, then I wouldn't end up doing a good job of keeping his focus... My senses sharpened as I thought, and I settled on something that I knew would piss him off. So, with my idea in mind, I howled, and felt my Sword of Damocles respond to me.
My aura exploded, and begun forming the familiar cocoon around me, when more Stilling blasts shot towards me. Though, they crashed against my aura, failing to break through... Even as the blasts got bigger, more intense, more DESTRUCTIVE, my aura took it all, and prevented them from getting to me... Though, there was an issue. All the blasts were taking CHUNKS of my reserves with each successive hit. At the moment, I was down to 45% after the fucker hit me with a continent buster shot, the lowest anything had ever brought me before.
Good thing I had an ocean of mana to substitute for aura. We, Yin and I, figured out I could do this after I tested a 100% TOTW, and didn't want to wait for my aura to refill. An interesting thing about using this method was since I had a strong Fire Affinity, my form would catch fire, which I did. So even as Zion kept blasting me, my form grew and stabilized, until I was in my full form, looking down at the golden god. For a moment, he didn't attack, and just seemed to be analyzing me... Though I wasn't going to just let him do that, so I howled at him, putting all the force I could with my Super Sonic Howl, momentarily making his form ripple as he was crushed by the force of my howl.
That did it though, and he begun gathering a massive golden orb above him, which was starting to be compressed, giving me a bad feeling. I didn't wait to find out what that was going to do, so I kicked off the platforms beneath my paws, and ran towards the golden god, the air and forest burning to ash as I ran across the sky, all the while my chosen song played.
-Here we are, don't turn away nooow. (Don't turn away!)
We are the warriors that Built. This. Town!
Here we are, don't turn away nooow. (Don't turn away!)
We are the warriors that Built. This. Town!-
His focus seemed to be entirely on me, I wasn't 100% sure if it was or not considering just what he was, but I went for the next part of my idea, and ejected myself from my TOTW form through its tail, shooting towards the ground. Thankfully, it looked like he didn't notice me leaving my burning form, which was now a few feet away from Zion, maw open and ready to devour him, when the sphere of Stilling he had above himself shot forwards, directly into my massive form's maw. The ball wrecked havoc inside of it, but it held for a few moments...
A few moments that were enough for me to kick off the molten ground, and shoot towards the body of The Thinker. "Garda, now!" My ever faithful ally responded to my call, and shifted back to her normal form, then into her Werewolf Form. She didn't gain silver hair as she did, which was good, and I shifted into mine. We were both inches away from The Thinker, claws out and coated in aura and mana, when a pressure that I'd only felt in the presence of Eden's corpse. Garda was stopped cold in her tracks...
But I wasn't. My claws burned with silver fire, and I tore into The Thinker's corpse, rending a massive portion of her corpse off.
The pressure grew to ridiculous levels after I did that, and the next moment, two blasts of Stilling hit us, breaking both of our auras, and 'killing' Garda, while I reformed from nothing a few seconds later. (Well, first time that's happened.) I hadn't been disintegrated before, but now that I have, I'd say it was a 3/10 experience. (Other note to self, get Garda some cake for that.) Shaking off that thought, I turned to face Zion, whose face was set into this sculpted face of rage. I grinned at him, and decided to lay it on thick. [Failure.] The instant that broadcast hit him, my realm was bombarded by Stilling blasts that shook the earth beneath my feet... Well, any earth that hadn't been turned to molten magma.
I escaped to the sky when he sent the blasts out, and laughed as Zion sent beam after beam, trying to turn me into nothing. While he did that, I thought about my options. (His attention is going to be solely fixated on me now, which is good. Though, what should I do for now? I can keep running/flying circles around him, he can't leave my realm without me forcing him out, and he can't kill me.) I hummed as I activated my inviolability, batting away a Stilling blast to piss him off some more, and Flash Stepped away from another more violent barrage. (I don't need to beat him, just keep him occupied... Hmm...) My mana and aura were refilling quickly, and by the time the half hour was up, I'd have enough to go full tilt with both mana and aura, but that wouldn't be fun... Grinning to myself, I tapped my focus...
Then realized that after getting nothing-ized, it was destroyed... "Motherfucker!" I liked my focus! Sure, Saya had made me 2 more as backups, but that was my first one! Growling, I used one hand to send out aura slashes to hold back the blasts of Stilling, while the other went to my tail, gripping it as I willed Balmung to appear. My sword happily showed itself, and for a second, I wanted to make the 'pulled something out of my ass' joke that this moment was meant to be, but ignored it as I began to channel my mana and aura into Balmung, banishing the sheath as I did. My blade drank it up, and began to glow, and when I felt it had enough to use its Ether release, I dashed across the sky, pulling a Yin, who was pulling a Weiss, as I dashed line after line around Zion.
And when I was in position, directly above his avatar, my Balmung radiating pure silver light as my mana and aura super charged it into an Anti Unit phantasm that boarded Anti World, and let him have it.
"THE EVIL DRAGON SHALL FALL, AND THE WORLD WILL REACH ITS SUNSET!
I WILL BRING YOU DOWN!
NOW HEAR ME, AND LET THEE BE FILLED!
BALMUNG!"
My sword became a cannon, and unleashed Armageddon onto the alien god.
Zion didn't take it lying down though, and fired his own Stilling beam to match my own, like we were fucking Dragon Ball Z characters or some shit. Our attacks were stalled for a few moments, but I roared, and pumped more aura and mana into my blade, getting down to 20-ish% in the former, while the latter was at around 60%.
It was enough apparently, since Balmung's beam won, shredding the beam of Stilling, and crashed into the avatar of Zion.
{Yin's POV, same time}
(I never thought I'd think this, but I'm bored.) System snorted in my mind, but didn't say much else. I mentally sighed at that, and looked around the room, which was apparently a copy of their 'training room/basement' in My Hero. Saya and Saeko were behind me, we were standing by the rift, which looked weird to me, radiating their aura and mana, while Kiriko, Kendo, Rei, Takashi, Kohta, Himiko, Lili, and surprisingly Missy, were further behind me, pouring mana and aura into an attack while Missy bent the space around the sphere of energy they were making, compressing it, while Cu was writing runes around said sphere, doing... Something, to it. I was in my Dragoon set, I loved this armor, with Lord Camelot in front of me as I waited in case something happened.
"Oh shit..." Saya's curse made me tune in, and I blinked when I noticed the way the golden shields had started rippling... And look a little dimmer. I didn't know what that meant, but it probably wasn't a go...- "Wait a minute." Saya tapped her focus, and we watched as she brought up some readings, then turned to Hope. "They just got weaker, right? Or am I getting these wrong?" Maybe this was a good thing?
Hope narrowed her eyes at the golden shields in front of us, and after a second, nodded. ~The Warrior seems to be redirecting power towards his avatar. This is good. The more power he burns, the easier our goal will be...~ She looked a little apprehensive here, which didn't exactly make me feel better at this revelation. Probably recognizing that thought, she went on. ~Hopefully, Big Brother will be ok.~ Ahh... Eh, Macky would be fine.
{Maccillian's POV}
For a moment, there was silence, other then the explosion from Balmung's beam, and I took that moment to take in my realm. The forest was pretty much non existent, looking more like ground zero for a bomb, the Vamp's territory was pretty screwed too, parts of the ground were still bubbling with magma, and the air was as dry as a desert. My aura and mana were refilling as quickly as they could, but I'd need to stall for a bit in order to refill enough to do another big blast with Balmung or a TOTW. (I could go for up close and personal. Physically, I'm faster then his Stilling beams, even if I dropped my Reinforcement I should still be able to out speed them. I'll need to stay in my Werewolf form though, sure my Enhanced Amphisbaena form is stronger, but it's too big... I could keep my inviolability on the entire time though... But that won't be fun... Last resort then.) I was brought out of my musings when the dust cleared, and Zion appeared... Well, more like reformed. Like me, he was stark naked, and it was mildly amusing to know that yes, he was anatomically correct. I was still bigger though, so the joke was on him.
Anyway, his face was one of pure wrath, and I just kept my grin as I toggled my aura off, so it would be able to refill before it broke, and sprouted my Vouivre wings. I even re-sheathed Balmung into my tail, and dodged another blast of Stilling as I did. It was time to show Zion just how hard a Werewolf that had 3 different multipliers on could hit. So, flapping my wings, I shot forwards, claws out and ready to gorge into the golden god.
Though, it looked like I wasn't the only one kicking things up a notch since Zion was actively moving now, instead of hovering in place, and just blasting beams of 'fuck you and everything in that direction.' It sucked for him that I was faster, and more nimble in the air, making it damn near impossible for his beams to hit me. Though, as I flew, I pulled on my Weather Manipulation, creating storm clouds above us, while making storm winds push me forward faster then I was already going, and managed to get face to face with the golden god, which led to me smashing my fist into his face. Zion flew back like he was shot from a cannon, but I didn't stop there. Kicking off the air, I flew after him, and started laying into the fucker with a good ol Jojo rush. "MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!" Couldn't forget the Muda either.
It was going well too, he was forced to heal after ever hit, and even when he hit me with Stilling beams, which kept disintegrating me, only for me to heal the next second, I kept beating his avatar into a pulp... Then he grabbed both of my fists, stopping me, then did... Something. It wasn't a blast of Stilling, it was something different.
It took Zion throwing me into the ground for me to figure it out. Somehow, he'd disabled my Circuits. I didn't know how, but for some reason, my Circuits refused to activate. Growling at that bit of information, I removed my gravity, and slammed my tail into the ground, sending me shooting into the sky, dodging something that looked like a big ball of disease. It smelled of rot and mold, and I didn't miss the way it sizzled as it touched the ground. (Oh what the actual fuck?) I wasn't about to get some kind of super syphilis from that, so I toggled my inviolability, which fixed my Circuits from whatever the hell Zion did, and toggled it back off as I reapplied my Reinforcement, and started zipping across the sky, avoiding not only the Stilling beams, but the balls of rot that began appearing in my paths, which was starting to be every path, so he was probably using his Precog powers now... Which was annoying...
But two could play at that game. (Path to countering Zion's attacks without using inviolability.) Now normally, Path to Victory would be unable to map Zion, because the shard was restricted from doing that, but I didn't have that restriction. My Path to Victory was mine, not some shards. And when I got the steps, I grinned.
*Step 1 - Utilize Doormaker's power to dodge and attack instead of relying on speed.* Doing that, I mentally called for my doors to open, and started flying through them like Haku did back in the Wave arc. Unsurprisingly, teleporting around not only made it possible for me to avoid those balls of disease, but made it harder for Zion track me since I spammed hundreds of doors, making it damn near impossible for him to reliably track me. With it being harder for him to know where I was, I used my doors to appear in front of him, by his sides, his back, and even above and below him, to tear him apart with my claws. I'd even managed to snag a leg from him with my jaws, but even after a quick shift of my tail to a Peluda head, and chomping on the leg, I didn't get a prompt for Fenrir, so it looked like his avatar wouldn't give me anything. Which was bullshit, but not entirely disappointing. I didn't actually know if I wanted anything from Zion, since I'd already yoinked the best thing I could from The Thinker.
Shacking that unfortunate fact aside, I listened to my next step. *Step 2 - Create black holes in front of specific dummy doors until there are at least 50 of them in existence.* Sounded easy enough. So, calling on my Sword of Damocles, I started focusing on points around my doors, and forcing the gravity to compress itself, to tighten into spheres. I was still getting used to this trick, but making small black holes was easy now. Controlling them was the issue... But since this was my realm, I had a bit more control here.
Anyway, the space around us was starting to bend in a way that made my eyes hurt, I was pretty sure it was my fault, but that seemed to be doing something to Zion too. He was constantly snapping towards the doors where my black holes were forming, and with each new one, he was losing his absolute focus on me, and doing his best to seal my singularities. I hummed at that, but filed it away. *Step 3 - Encase The Warrior in a sphere of aura that will amplify any and all sounds, using all of the host's current reserves, and begin creating black holes within the sphere.* I blinked at that step, but mentally shrugged. (Okaaay.)
Zipping around some more, I checked my reserves, and felt I was at a good 60%, which was enough to tank a few blasts of Stilling. So, with that confirmed, I played peek-a-boo with Zion for another minute, then moved onto the next step, turning my aura back on, I snapped my fingers, and trapped him in an aura sphere, which was surprisingly easy since he was still bugging out with the black holes all over the place. *Step 4 - Use the highest frequency of Super Sonic Howl possible, and overload The Warrior's senses.* As soon as I received that step, I laughed. "Fuck yeah." Taking a breath, I didn't bother fighting off the grin on my face, and HOWLED.
~CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!~ Wonderful word that.
Seeing the sound hit Zion was surprising, his head fucking exploded like Rika shot him, and even when he regenerated it, it kept exploding. (Huh... So he has one of the same problems that we do... Super Senses are kinda a bitch, aren't they?) It made sense though. His avatar had senses that may have been better then mine, if they were then it was solely because he was cheating with shards, so overwhelming his senses made so much sense, that I might not have thought about it without my Path... (Path to Victory OP, pls no nerf.) I snorted to myself, but shook that thought off, and kept howling. As I did, I recognized that the black holes were probably fucking with his senses too, which actually made sense now that I was thinking about it.
Speaking of thinking, which was a weird thought, I got my next step. *Step 5 - Utilize Weather Manipulation to create a tornado, along with controlling the aura sphere to spin, further overloading The Warrior's senses.* Nodding to myself, I felt the wind pick up as I started forming a true storm. For good measure, I kept feeding the sphere any aura I regen'd included some mana to make it even more unbreakable.
I could feel the [Agony] coming from Zion, which made me wince at the sheer amount of pain he was broadcasting, but I kept it up. He was trapped in my Noble Phantasm, and as long as I kept him here, it didn't matter how much pain he was sending out through Shard Speak. He was going to die, and it was going to be great.
Though, the sudden scream of [PAIN] Coming from Zion gave me a headache.
{Yin's POV, same time.}
It'd been maybe 10 or so minutes since the shields started dimming, and ever since, they'd been dimming even more. They went from 100% fullness to maybe 65%. I was pulling that former percentage out of my ass, but I was pretty sure I was right.
[It's more 67%.]
I rolled my eyes at that. (Hush you!) System shrugged, and I went back to focusing on the shields. They kept getting dimmer, and the others had the 'big ol boom' according to Toga, ready. They were just waiting to see how low the shields could go, before letting loose. It also helped that Saya and Hope believed if they used it at around 50%, they could damage any other defenses Zion may have.
It was while we were waiting though that something happened, and Saya shouted. "YIN, NOW!" She didn't need to tell me twice. So, bringing Lord Camelot to bear, I spoke its aria, and ignored the Lion King Regalia that automatically materialized on me.
"That which heals all wounds and grudges.
Our glorious homeland.
Manifest yourself!
Lord Camelot!"
In the training grounds, the walls of Camelot sprang forth, and the barriers defending them shimmered into existence along with them. I didn't get to take much else in though when the loudest death scream I'd ever heard reached us, and the walls of Camelot and her barrier SHOOK.
~SCRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!~
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that I took ACTUAL damage, 7k points of it, but that might've been due to my Werewolf Senses. I heard a thump from somewhere behind me, but didn't know wh...- "Blondie sissy!" Never...- Oh shit. I wanted to turn around and see if Missy was ok, even though the smart part of my mind remembered she was inducted into the Silver Clan, making her somewhat immortal, but I couldn't. I had a line to hold, and by gods was I gonna hold it!
The screeching got louder, which meant the force I was holding back was getting stronger, so I ramped up and pored more mana into Lord Camelot. "FUCK IT, FIRE!" Not sure who said that, because my ears were begging me to off myself so I didn't have to hear this damn screaming, but seeing a marble sized ball of pure energy shoot towards the portal, and in the blink of an eye, crash into the golden barriers in Zion's dimension. For a moment, I recognized that A) That was made from a fuckton of Werewolves, B) I was the first line of defense, and C) That when that thing exploded, I was going to be the one shielding against the brunt of the burst... The next moment, the fucking thing exploded, and I decided to also fuck it, and pour EVERYTHING into Lord Camelot. The walls were coated black, the barriers of Camelot were shimmering a deep black, and spikes grew along the castle walls.
It didn't stop there though, since pink and purple auras and mana reinforced my walls, obviously from Saeko and Saya, and I was pretty sure Lord Camelot went passed whatever ranking Fate had.
Lord Camelot took the brunt of the explosion, which rocked the foundations of the area, I was pretty sure it was even felt outside of the home, but the walls and barriers held strong. Though, when the sound of something shattering reached my ears, I was momentarily prepared to shit all the bricks... Thank fuck it wasn't OUR barriers that broke, as the golden shields in Zion's dimension broke and splintered into millions of shards. The damage didn't stop there though, and beyond the barriers was a gargantuan sized... THING, that hurt my eyes to see. There were some structures around the body though, things I couldn't make heads or tails of, but when they looked to be charging up, only the ones closest to the main body were since most of the others were fucked, I figured it out.
Seeing what I saw, Saya shouted. "CU KILL THE FUCKER BEFORE WE GET ATOMIZED!" That sounded like a great plan!
"GOTCHA LASSIE!" From behind me, there was a SPIKE of power, which meant Cu was about to throw his goddamn Noble Phantasm into another dimension in order to kill an alien monstrosity...
(Gods, it's Sunday, what the fuck is the rest of the week going to be?) I had no idea, and it sort of scared me.
I didn't have the time to think about that, since the power spike behind me reached its peak, and I heard Cu shout, "Gáe Bolg!" The red spear shot out almost faster then I could see, and was leaving a trail of red, white, and dark blue as it flew towards its prey. In the blink of an eye, it was there, and we all saw it impact Zion's true body... And tear a hole THROUGH it as it made contact.
The screeching all but stopped for a moment, I could tell we were all holding our breath, and then it happened.
~RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!~
I didn't think that could be called a sound anymore, because that was just PAIN. The barriers of Camelot, even with mine, Saya's, and Saeko's help, SHOOK and even started to CRACK. Hell, the ground of the AURA CONSTRUCTED MANSION were breaking apart at the wave of pain coming from Zion. The walls were holding, but they weren't going to make it if this kept up.
Thankfully, as quickly as it came, it died down, and everything went quiet. The walls held, the barrier held, and I stopped losing hea...- (HOLY SHIT! 300k in damage?!) That wasn't even counting the fact I had already been healing so it was definitely more then that. (Fuck...) Then I remembered the fact Missy fell(?) Earlier, and whipped around to look at her condition. Said condition wasn't looking good considering she was bleeding rivers out of her ears, while being hugged by Himiko and Lili. The others weren't looking good either, every Werewolf in the room also had rivers of blood flowing from their ears, as well as some blood trickling down from their eyes... Yikes.
The only one that looked fine were Cu, though he was panting a bit, Fen, who was on the ground, tongue out and looking tired, and Hope. She looked like a marble statue with how perfectly still she was. She was staring at Zion's body, like she was trying to commit the dead thing to memory, and only reacted when the familiar 'Ding' of a completed quest, I also leveled a bit, but that could be looked at later. When she heard that, she smiled, and turned to me. ~The Warrior is truly gone, isn't he?~ Well, if I didn't already know that she could detect system to a degree, that would've confirmed it. Anyway, I gave her a nod, and her smile grew, as her wings fluttered around a bit.
I turned back after that, looking out to the corpse of Zion, and internally sighed. (Well, that worked... Though...) Blinking, and feeling around... I didn't feel Macky. (He should be here by now... Right?) I was pretty sure that was the plan, but he wasn't here yet... I shrugged. (Eh, it's Macky, he'll be fine.)
{Maccillian's POV}
If my realm wasn't already a hellhole after my fight with Zion started, then it would be now considering his avatar was spazing the fuck out, while firing blasts of Stilling everywhere. He was even blasting waves of [Pain] without trying to specifically talk to me. (Huh... Guess they got his main body...) Wasn't sure what the fuck was going on though...
[I can answer that.]
Avoiding another blast of Stilling, I grinned, and spoke to the op;en air. "Ah, convenient exposition! Go on plot device." Yin's System sighed, and I could practically FEEL the eye roll.
[Anyway, the being known as Zion/The Warrior Entity, died.
Now normally, this would lead to the avatar dissolving with his death...
Unfortunately, because of where you've trapped said avatar, the link between the two wasn't FULLY severed.
The main consciousness died, and all that's left is a subroutine.
The shard of Stilling, and other main shards he kept on that avatar are the only things keeping it from falling apart.
That said, all you'll have to do is just destroy the avatar again, and it'll die.]
Flying around, and doing a few barrel rolls for the fuck of it, I hummed at System's answer. (Interesting. Suggestions on how to finish this up?) I had options now that there wasn't a real intelligence fueling the avatar. I could just wait till my aura was back at 100%, the hit em with a good ol TOTW. Maybe experiment and try to make a person sized black hole, and drop it on the avatar. Could even door in front of it and rip it to shreds. "Decisions decisions." At that point, Yin's System responded.
[Don't you have that AoE spell?]
I blinked, and dropped into another door to avoid the meteor sized Stilling beam that was close to hitting me. "Yeees..." I thought about the mentioned spell, and felt my grin threaten to split my face. *Step 6 - Muspelheim.* My path agreed with System's idea, and I cackled. "Alright! Let's get this show on the road!" Saying that, my mana reacted, and my magic circle materialized beneath me. "Pretty sure I've got enough mana for this." A quick check, and I saw that was sitting above half. "Good enough." So with that ensured, I doored myself to the peak of my realm's height, and started chanting, because this spell actually needed a chant to get working.
"Sruthán, agus leag an domhan ar lasadh! (Burn, and set the world on fire.)
Sruthán, agus clúdach an domhan I lasair! (Burn, and envelope the realm in flame.)
Sruthán, agus fág rud ar bith ach fuinseog! (Burn, and leave nothing but ash.)
Sruthán, Muspelheim!"
And the world burned in silver fire.
[Hmm... Could be better.]
I scoffed at that, and just started doing slow flips as the air burned. "If I was full, it'd be better." It really would. Depending on how much mana I pushed into the spell, the effects would increase. At 5%, everything in a 2m radius of me burned. And I mean EVERYTHING. The ground, the air, the mana, any and everything that should and should not burn, was eviscerated. At 10%, that tripled to 6ms. 15% saw everything in a 12m radius, while 30% spikes at 50ms. 50% was anything in a 150m radius, which was fucking insane. But at full power? At full power, anything 500m in the same realm as me was turned to ash. It was made worse when you considered that not only was my fire as hot as a sun, but also had the properties of Greek Fire, AKA, unable to be put out by water. So imagine a 500m wide pillar of fire that reached up to the fucking clouds, can't be put out by water, and simply burned through EVERYTHING. It was my ultimate AoE move, while my TOTW was my ultimate single target move.
Granted, it couldn't be sustained for 30 seconds if I used all my mana to fuel it, but that was neither here nor there.
Anyway, the avatar was burned into nothing a few moments after I set everything on fire. So, stopping my flames, I observed the wasteland that my realm turned into, and sighed. Sure, there was a portion of the area already beginning to heal, but it was still a sad sight to see. (Wonder how long it'll take Garda to reform.) I knew she would, she always did, but this was a different level of damage.
Shaking my thoughts off, I nodded to myself, and used some aura to clothe myself in copies of my usual outfit. With me no longer naked, I hummed, then retracted Tír na nÓg back into myself. It didn't take long for the realm to recede, and the surroundings turned back into the surrounding from before I trapped the golden god. I gave the area one last look, before nodding again. "Door to training grounds at base." The silver door opened before me, and I flew into it.
Coming out on the other side, I came face to face with the rest of my pack, as well as Yin, who were all either laying down on the ground, or gathered around each other. The only exception was Saya, who was in some kind of aura space suit, and in Zion's dimension, with constructs tearing apart pieces of the golden god's body. Everyone else met my gaze with theirs, and relaxed. That was enough for me.
[Omake - Well this is interesting. Athena's POV at some point yesterday.]
Looking at the woman before me, I couldn't help but hum as I thought over her proposal. (It has merit. This world is still getting acclimated to mana, and will require teachers so the inhabitants of said world can get used to these new abilities. I doubt Nezu will refuse. No, he'd most likely jump at the opportunity to have a competent magic user in his school.) I looked at the Caster, and mentally nodded to myself. (Especially one as accomplished as Medea.) The 'Witch of Betrayal' a horrible moniker, was probably the best mage I'd ever met. That included my Saya, and Maccillian. While I adored the former, and highly respected the latter, Medea was in a completely different league.
That thought, I felt it was time to giver her confirmation. "I believe your proposal shall be accepted by Nezu. Would you like it if I contacted Nezu now?"
Medea took a sip of her tea, a nice chamomile, and gave me a nod after she set it down. "That would be lovely. Thank you Athena."
Giving her a nod of my own, I tapped my focus, and began writing a message to my favorite Werewolf mammalian hybrid. (Next year of U.A will be quite interesting with their new instructors.) I was looking forward to how this world would change.
Garda is going to be a side character, don't worry.
